First time out for dinner in a long time. Food was awesome, shrimp was crispy, the rolled tacos in green sauce was great. Food came quick. Only concern is the amount of people not wearing masks, and no real way to enforce.

Meatball sub so sloppy you cant pick it up to eat it.

Not impressed. Onion rings were good but very greasy. (See photo of the POOL on my plate). Chili- not gteat. Meatball sandwich so sloppy my husband could not even pick it up. And the taste- not that good. Reuben was was good but didn't have the traditional dressing- they just used mustard and i am not sure if it sucked up all the grease from the onion rings or if that was greasy too. Wings were tasty- if they were a little bigger i would say they would be the only reason we would be back. Waitresses tried- kinda. One was better then the other- they seemed to be tag teaming us. But i still had to go to the restroom to get paper towels to use as napkins. Very disappointing. Hope they are not closing the original.

You have to go check out this place out! The staff is amazing, food is delicious, great drink specials and the music is awesome!

I don't know how they do it, but best bar food around. We come back because we crave the nachos and rolled tacos combo.

Wanted to check out the lunch here; sat down at the bar, waited five minutes but wasn't acknowledged by bar tender checking her phone.

This review is a 4.5 (for me) but I'm rounding up to five stars. Origami Sake Bar is a nice…read moreaddition for El Paso! It's been around for a few months. I had no idea it existed until recently. It's a fun and classy speakeasy inside of Tin Man on George Dieter. They keep their location hidden on social media...I guess because it's a speakeasy? I think the concept is cute and fun. I almost felt like I wasn't in El Paso anymore! They have cute Japanese knick knacks and decor. There's only two tables and a small bar area. This is probably why it's hard to get a reservation. You can make a reservation by messaging them on Facebook or Instagram. If they don't get back to you, give them a call at Tin Man. They're open Thursday-Saturday from 7pm to 2 am and Sundays from 2-9 pm. Before Origami Sake Bar, I've only had sake a couple of times straight and...it was super strong. It almost knocked me out of my seat! This is coming from a lady who could drink Tequila like water. Those days are long gone btw. However, this sake bar changed those previous experiences for me. Why? Because they offer a combination of sweet and strong drinks. I had to have a sweet drink so I went with the Grogu. Forgive me, I can't remember what exactly was in it. If you like boba tea, this is the drink for you. It had a lot of boba balls in it. The Yoda stein holds a lot of drink and it stays cold. I was good with just this one drink. FYI: The drinks are not happy hour prices. My tab was $17 and change for one drink. I almost asked for a growler of Sangria from Tin Man instead. I'm not saying the drink was bad because it wasn't. I'm sure I was paying for the novelty of the stein and bar. The place doesn't offer any food. You can eat before or after...or bring your own. It would be cool if they offered Japanese snacks or cheese boards, something. Tin Man doesn't offer food so I guess it's the same here. Thank you for recommending Origami Sake Bar, Jenny L.! Thank you for also inviting me! :) Check it out if you get a chance.

Sake it to me El Paso! Yes... there's a hidden Sake bar speakeasy in El Paso, and it's gorgeous, along with my girlfriends that came out to check it out with me. It was a bit difficult to get an RSVP, I messaged them thru their FB page, but they didn't respond so I ended up calling the location which was Tin Man and they got me connected to RSVP. After that they were super responsive and gracious. We ended up having 8 ladies show up but at different times and they were nice enough to let us stay until the next reservation showed up at 10pm. We had a great time, drinks were strong and unique. Only things I would recommend to change are getting a better menu QR, it made you download the menu instead of just showing you, and not mixing the popping boba and regular boba in the drinks as it's a HUGE choking hazard, especially when drinking alcohol. I would definitely recommend this place for a cute night out or date night. They let you bring outside food in and we brought Riva's carne asada fries and nachos. Make sure you have a reservation though. Something new and fun in El Paso. Come out and #supportlocal Origami Sake Bar

Who knew that a dive bar in El Paso would have honestly legit bbq? When I went to 915 Vibes they…read moretold me they had opened another bar called The Lucky Dog and it had smoked meats. I was intrigued because most bar food was fried and greasy. When my brother in law came to town, I wanted him to experience the welcoming down to earth nature of the bars here (where families go out to drink together) and I was curious about the food. Wow. The bbq and brisket is legit. They have a smoker (locked up for some reason) that they smoke meat in every day and the results are super tender bbq and meats. They have a super clean full kitchen in the back (I asked to peek and thank the cooks) and they do some legit restaurant food here. The menu is pretty simple, the prices are super fair for the amount of food you get. We were 8 adults and it fed us all easily. We got nachos, zucchini sticks, onion ring petals, the brisket sandwich, and the ribs plate with beans and fries. We also got a lot of beer and shots to celebrate my in laws moving here. Happy Hour is from 12-8pm $2 Domestics = Miller/Bud/bud light /coors $3 Well Service was very friendly and the crowd was too, it seems that everyone was friends with each other which is nice to introduce to my out of town guests. Hubby remarked that the music wasn't obnoxiously loud and eclectic, probably because they have a jukebox system. We left when the dj arrived because we're old and have kids to pickup, but the others stayed to enjoy it turn up. I really like the bars here in El Paso, especially ones like the Lucky Dog which has awesome food. The meats were a little fatty but super tender, but hubby said it's actually good for soaking up booze if you want to sober up before leaving. Check them out, they're a month new, and #supportlocal.
