Goodness gracious, this fine crew was friendly, informative, and took time to show mini future firefighters the equipment and hoses used to banish great balls of fire. Best known as home to country music legend, Bobby Mackey, Wilder is a quaint town bordering the bustling urban areas of Newport and Covington. Blue collar and industrial, you'll find plenty of manufacturing stations along their main street of Licking Pike. Most of Wilder's business features chain establishments and gas stations, with the occasional diamond in the trough such as the Mellow Mushroom pizzeria. (If you like Dewey's, you need to try it.) Wilder is known for its well-attended community events, like their phenomenal Fish Fry during Lent that helps support the Fire Department. They take pride in honoring the armed forces with tributes to the troops throughout the year. Their most notable event, The Bluegrass Festival, takes place each summer and features an entire day of local and regional musicians. Mainly a blue collared town, Wilder has a split on housing styles: some being older 1950's styles in need of some repair, others are 1980s models with landscaping. Regardless of where you live, the people are some of the kindest and most generous neighbors you'll meet. Southern hospitality and southern accents; you'll find it just 10 minutes south of Downtown Cincinnati.

Visited this library branch to attend a meeting that was being held here. The group usually meets…read moreoutdoors, but with impending thunderstorms, we decided to see if there was anywhere we could meet indoors. The library had a cancellation, and was able to get us in. Library had ample parking for the library patrons and people using the meeting room. Meeting room is clean. Whiteboards, corkboards, outlets, and a tv are available for use. There are also chairs and tables. Library itself was quiet and clean. As of this review, masks are required. Drop box is available so books may be dropped off without exiting your car.

Our family has hosted two graduation parties at Anderson Center in the past year. Most recently,…read morethe party was in the lower atrium. It was spacious, set up well so that guests could feel connection, and being close to the outdoor area allowed for a gorgeous view. The staff were friendly and helpful and the reservation process was easy and detailed. The only tricky part was the parking overflow was needed, however we were warned prior about the building having several events that day. The overflow parking actually lead directly to the lower atrium though, so the crowded lot in the front worked out for the guests to see the beautiful water view on their way in to the lower atrium. All and all, it was another wonderful event and we plan to book future events there. We appreciate having this gorgeous setting so close to home!

I used to come to this library, up until August 2022, when they put in the "learning through play"…read morething in this small library. I was using this library to do research on my book that I was working on since 2018, then on a second book since November 2021. With all of the kids being so disruptively loud in this library, it makes thinking in what is supposed to be a quiet area non-existent. They definitely should have put that play area over in the Newport library, like the other person said in their review here. I have been down at the Newport library, and they do not use the bottom two meeting areas that often and the larger of the two meeting areas downstairs at the Newport branch would have been much better suited for that play area that the Cold Spri branch has in it currently.
