My husband and I recently met at this post office for a passport appointment for our baby. While I…read morehad a little difficulty locating the public entrance because the GPS took me to the distribution side once I located it, everything else was fairly easy. The inside is pretty large with very tall ceilings. There was only one person in line before us, so they were only 10 minutes late getting us in for our appointment. We didn't bring a photo of our baby, so they took one there. It is just a wooden stool with a little backdrop and an old cheap digital camera, which slightly surprised me because I could've done much better on my phone, but oh well. We paid $15 for the convenience. The man helping us did a great job and was thorough and knowledgeable and quick. We walked away, feeling confident that all the right steps were taken.

The Fred Factor was a book written about a mailman who gave excellent customer service. I met a "Fred" in Alexandria, KY. There is one guy working hard to meet a plethora of needs for each and every customer. Many older individuals like myself need a lot of attention and this gentleman never seems to get frustrated and yet keeps the line moving. This gentleman also has a way with people as to not make them feel stupid. I have written several books on customer service and can readily identify trained professionals. These individuals are quite common at Disney Southwest, and even Chickfilla. I might just expect such service at these locations, however to receive such service early in the morning when I was covered in paint at a post office located in a strip mall was highly unexpected. The gentleman circled the barcode at the bottom of the receipt as I had to look like the last person who might later scan and fill out a customer service survey. I have to admit I was a little surprised that our U. S. Post Office even cares what I think about their service. The questions were also very good. On this day it is safe to say there were positive surprises for both sides. Besides filling out their survey, I also have my Yelp Elite Badge! I can only hope that the post office follows up with this young man running the show in Alexandria KY as he has unlimited potential. I truly hope ge gets acknowledged by leadership.

I visited Covington this past Saturday to watch the performance of Little Shop of Horrors by a…read morelocal theater company. It was held at the Covington Plaza Ampitheater. It was such a great venue and right on the river front. There was easy access to the venue and parking. They had porta potties for people's convenience. We were allowed to bring food and drink to enjoy before and after the show. Alcohol was acceptable. The ampitheater was so nice. Plenty of stage space and plenty of seating (take your own chair). It was neat to see the old boats go by in the background and the Reds game going on in the stadium across the river. There were some restaurants within walking distance if you were hungry. We ended up at a unique kind of bar that focused on frozen drinks. It was called Frosty (something, I can't remember). It was a neat idea and we enjoyed our time there. I would love to go to another show at that venue.

Lots of Germans immigrated to Covington where lots were sold for hundreds of dollars (UGH, what I would give to purchase some Covington for that price). Today, Covington is a great part part of the Cincinnati region. As a resident, I feel like I have all the amenities of living downtown without the hustle and bustle and lack of parking. There is lots to do and see, including a lot of great restaurants. Coming in hot with a strong opinion: Covington is home to the best burrito (Gutierrez Deli) and Chinese food (Amerasia) in greater Cincinnati. Whether you are in downtown Covington or Mainstrasse, there's plenty to see and do... even during a pandemic, Devou park has provided a great place to get out and experience some nature. I identify as a Cincinnatian, but I'm super proud of my 859 area code.
