Woman at the shop is nasty and rude. Accused of shoplifting, forced us to stop shopping, don't waste your time or money.

Overall, I think the selection is quite excellent. I also appreciate that they have a good selection of sizes (though not much in the way of petite or plus size.) Some of the prices seem a little high as well, but the clothing is always in excellent condition and prices will drop after a month if something is still available. I have noticed that there are items that are also readily available in TJ Maxx or Marshalls (like RBX leggings), and even some H&M, which is a bit disappointing when the store claims to be "Fine Consignment." read more

Speaking of vintage handbags, Cinderella's Attic was awash in Louis Vuitton recently. A version of the popular Speedy bag is offered for $449 (retails for about $950). Owner Kristin Rippel regularly posts photos of sought-after items on her shop's Facebook page. With women's, kids, shoes, accessories, some home goods and a small rack of men's clothing, Cinderella's Attic is a go-to institution for "higher end mall labels and beyond." As usual, I'm interested in "beyond." No sooner did I ask "what's the best thing here right now?" than Rippel pulls out a cream skirt suit by Alexander McQueen. Sadly for me, it was a size O. However, a twentysomething fashionista on her way to a bridal shower snapped it up for $100. Workout clothes have even made their way to consignment stores and Cinderella's Attic had a fair amount of Lululemon, including a new pair of lounge pants for $60. Lily Pulitzer (again with the Lily!) has its own little section, some items with the tags still on. read more

If you live on the shoreline or are willing to drive, I cannot recommend Cinderella's Attic in Guilford enough. It's a high-end consignment shop and Kristin, the owner, is ALWAYS there and is SO knowledgable and helpful. She's honest, trustworthy, and does such a great job with her store. She takes kids and women's clothes, higher end items. And the best part? She'll mail you a check if you can't make it in to pick up your earnings! read more

Amazing hunting grounds for designer clothes! I drive up from New York City, where our resale shops are picked over and ridiculously expensive. At Cinderella's Attic, everything is pristine and the prices are excellent. Beautiful things are available in a range of sizes and the stock is kept very current, in every imaginable category: coats, dresses, sweaters, blouses, active-wear, and even handbags, jewelry, and scarves/belts. Occasionally they have small housewares and art items. There is a good price range from very affordable to fairly priced super-luxe items. For a few hundred dollars I can haul out what would cost thousands in NYC. AND it's nicely broken in so it is comfortable to wear from the get-go. read more

One thing is certain about affluent towns; great consignment shops! Growing up in Guilford and being remote from the malls, I was deprived of great shopping until the outlets were built in the mid-1990's. Until then, my mom would buy our clothes there. I've been shopping and consigning at Cinderella's Attic for about 16 years! They are very fussy about what merchandise to accept. Clothing has to be in immaculate condition. The clothing is stylish, yet current. There are a lot of top of the line brands and many of the items still have the original tags on them. As someone who needs a petite length in pants, I believe that there's even a petite rack. There's only clothing and accessories. They upstairs loft is devoted to children's clothing. This shop is better since the young lady bought it. She's probably in her late twenties and is aware of the current trends in brands. She's so much nicer than the rude old lady who used to run it. The shop is a step above ABC Consignment on the Guilford Green. I highly recommend this shop if you want to be cheap, eco-friendly, and love to support a local business. read more

This adorable place is packed with great finds. A huge selection of high-end labels, as well as other popular, high quality brands- all at amazing prices! All the items, from jewelry to purses to children's clothes, are in new to almost new condition. I can always find something when I go there, and now that I've started consigning, my profit usually goes right back into the super, ever changing stock they have there. Two things I really appreciate: Where other places might have the "ick factor" with consigned shoes, they are all pristine and they always have my size (9), which is difficult to find elsewhere. The other:The staff is always friendly, helpful and fun. (It makes me secretly wish I worked there too!)I will just have to stick to consigning items, like ex-boyfriend jewelry to make room for "new" finds from Cinderella's Attic. read more

Cute items. The customer service is awful.... I had to go to the bathroom and she told me to go to CVS when I clearly wanted to shop in the store. After the salesperson saw I was going to buy items she reluctantly let me go to the bathroom. I then saw a very cute skirt that was behind the register. It hadn't been paid for..... Sorry consignment store $16 item---- sell it!!!!!! If you don't have the money or are unsure about $16, it shouldn't be held. I considered walking out with no items. Her whole attitude wasn't great. No consignment store should be run like this!!!! Sell the item and move on. read more

I'm not sure who helped me-it might be the owner. I brought things in to consign and she poo-poo' ed me out of the store. I had great stuff that to her didn't fit her vibe whatever that is. I've gone in as a customer to shop and the prices are expensive not to mention the merch is not that interesting. I am curious if her consignees make any money at all from this place. Note to owner-you are not a boutique so drop your snotty attitude. read more

After being out of town for a while it was time to give my favorite local consignment shop another go and clean out both my and my son's closet. I appreciated how many items (and how quickly!) the owner was able to sort through at once, especially since I easily brought in close to 100 items. While waiting, I did a bit more shopping than I had planned for....because Kristen had a lovely stock of gorgeous items at absolutely reasonable prices. I saw several beautiful "like new" Free People tops--(all on sale and $10 or less!) as well as a gorgeous Anthropologie top--new with tags for far below the original price. Also notable was an excellent condition pair of neutral Jack Rogers flats (not my size unfortunately) that will be sure to make anyone's work attire just a bit more fun : ) LOTS of dresses, casual attire, and even a few designer wear to work items caught my eye as well! If you're looking for great brands at fair prices in a fun atmosphere, Cinderella's Attic is your place! Can't wait to stop by again soon. read more

I recently shopped at Cinderella's attic, and had a fairly good experience. It was a little sparse, and was told by the owner that they are between seasons and that more merchandise would be available soon. I look forward to going when the stock fills up. I could tell that she had a good eye, and the quality of the merchandise was in good condition, and I noticed many high end brands. My only criticism is that on 2 subsequent trips, when the owner was not there, I found the sales person working to be off-putting and a little rude. I had asked a question and instead of finding out for me, she told me to call the owner on a day that she was working. In my opinion that is not good customer service, even if it is a casual consignment shop. read more
