Definitely a weird experience! First thing, kid at the register yells at us the menus are in the basket... which is so ridiculous because you have to walk back to the door if you pass it! Then, we order, same kid literally does not have a clue... like does not even ask our sides, does not tell us a drink is separate from food. The cook went to ask what side my fiancé wants and he just said I don't know without asking us. I literally told the cook what he wanted. Burnt end sandwich had nice flavor, fatty unfortunately which ended up not getting finished. Pork tenderloin was very plan, lacked flavor and the cornbread was dry (crumbling). Unquestionably interesting decoration, massive boat above the table was cool. Gets weirder...noticed water on the floor in place as I went to the ladies room, single stall as I found out opening the door with a staff member fixing her face, apologized, door was unlocked. She apparently thought I was someone else and asked if the men's bathroom wasn't open? Then proceeded to come out of the bathroom and she was barefoot!! Came back said they were cleaning vents and wiped up the water by stepping on a towel barefoot? Health department would have had an emergency meeting over that I'm sure. I don't think we will return. Keep your shoes on lady!

Best barbecue in the area. Clean, spacious, and affordable. You get more than what you pay for.

I love everything about this place. Being from Texas barbecue is a very big deal. AndI thought I wasn't going to find that one spot to fall in love with. Until, I came to Cindy Lou's. I love everything about this spot, the customer service is amazing. They definitely make you feel like you're at home. The ambience is so peaceful, especially sitting outside on the porch that's what I call it. Make sure you stop by if you're ever in Iowa. My favorite is the ribs and extra cornbread muffins.

Got a pound of pulled pork to-go and it was fabulous. Made some great sandwiches and their sauce is very good.

I…read morevisited while back in town visiting a professor of mine from my time in college, and I left a just a little disappointed in the taste (or lack thereof) in my nostalgic order. Back in the day, Greenhouse definitely did something different with their chicken. If my memory serves me correctly, they used to have seasoned, cubed chicken pieces, but it seems they have moved to a watery, shredded chicken instead. The other ingredients seemed to be the same, fresh items, but the new chicken was a big disappointment for me. The food here used to consistently hit 9+ out of 10 for me, but during my last visit it was more in the 6-7 range. Giving this spot a 4/5 rating since I'm hoping my last stop in was a fluke. Service and ambiance here is always on point!

This was better than expected for a quick service meal…read more After a long travel day, I was hungry and tired, and this salad hit the spot. The steak was a little dry, but other than that, it was a great meal. I got the Buffalo salad but added steak instead of chicken. The dressing wasn't fresh or homemade-tasting, so that was a bummer. It was a $15 salad, so for the price and convenience, I would come back again. The girl at the counter was welcoming, and since it was my first time, she explained how the menu worked.

American Four of us…read morewere working in the area and wanted a decent dinner so we headed over to Whiskey Road. The place was medium full- that is to say, it was not totally jam packed. We got a table with no issue. Waitress arrived with and we got started with some drinks and apps. Honey garlic edamame was different and very good, queso dip was standard fare. For cocktails, we were all over the place: beers, wine and one guy had some whiskey. Frankly, I forgot what the others had but I ended up with a steak, which was fine. A second round of drinks and we were pretty much done with dinner - but we still had a decent amount of drinks left- and that is sort of when we started feeling rushed by the waitress. She asked a few times while we still had our entrees "if we wanted anything else" - which we felt was odd - it did not come across like "are you satisfied", it was more like do you want the bill? Weird vibe. We discussed it among ourselves that maybe she needed to get out and we were her last table but she came round again asking if we wanted the check and my buddy asked her is she was heading out and actually said no- she was there for a few hours more... so the whole thing was perplexing. Anyway, food was good- prices were average. Service was interesting. Maybe your experience will be better. Street parking
