I had a very poor experience with Zoom Photography today. I was standing on the side of the pool…read moretrying to take photos of my daughter when one of the Zoom photographers yelled at me that I wasn't allowed to take photos and I needed to talk to the event staff about it. After I talked with the event staff they told me I was allowed to take photos. It really sucks that I missed taking photos of my own daughter during her race because the Zoom Photography employee yelled and lied to me. Apparently having your own DSLR and trying to take a photo of your child is intimidating enough to their company to berate you in public.

They had a full consultation a couple of weeks before the shoot day to get to know me and discuss exactly what I was looking for in my pictures. They are extremely patient and listen to everything you have to say (ie. your goals, types of roles you can play, etc.) and take that into consideration. On the day of the shoot, Kathy made positive that my hair and makeup looked flawless and that I looked like the best version of myself. She is such an expert and makes sure every shot is one worth keeping. Bill is so fun and makes sure you are comfortable and having fun during the process. I am so happy with my results! I've never hired a professional photographer before; in fact I hate having my photo taken at all…read morefor the most part. Besides those childhood modeling sessions my mom made me do, and a class portrait, I have zero experience with dealing with photographers and pretty much run from the camera, unless I have control and it's on my cell phone. So, when our wedding came around it was not me who wanted to have a photographer, but my groomzilla. I got a lot of quotes, which literally blew my mind. I'm not spending $5,000 plus on photos from one day. We had a backyard wedding in West Hollywood with only 14 people so take a hike with your ridiculous prices. That's when I came upon LA Budget. You had me at budget. If we wanted to spend $100,000 on a wedding we could have, but I'm not that type of bride and I'd much rather go on trips, buy a house, etc than waste money and debt on one day. We were running really late the day of our wedding, about an hour behind. We were only worried because of the photographer who we had hired for 2 hours and wasted the first hour because it took longer than we thought to set everything up that day. Anyways, Angela arrived and was very chill and not phased. She took photos of our guests and the set up while I was still running around with 2 feet of wet hair. She was patient and I finally got it together. Our ceremony was all of 10 minutes and then she took group shots of our families, etc. She stayed about an hour or maybe a bit more which was fine because we were going to sit to eat. A week later we got our photos on a link online and you can download them directly to your computer and have them printed or share as you wish. I think a lot of the price charged of other photo companies is for the editing and printing of photos. You can find printers in LA all over the place or this one I found in Wisconsin and have used for years who are awesome and super cheap and fast. I am pretty critical of my photos so I'd say all but a few I hated of myself, but we got a lot of great shots of our families and friends and our dog. All in all, it was a great deal, Angela had a great attitude and for us I couldn't imagine having an overbearing photographer in my face all day and night so this was just perfect for us.

The photos turned out well and we received all of the full res photos via Dropbox shortly after coming home from our honeymoon the following week. There were over 1000 photos and a few hundred great shots to put into our wedding album! There were a few edited photos but most were raw images. I could edit them myself but the quality of the raw photos are good enough that I don't really need to. The lighting at our venues was tricky as it was a particularly bright, sunny day and we had most of our photos done outside (and the inside lighting wasn't very good either), but I think Alexandra did a good job even with the lighting being the way it was that day.

From the start, I spoke to Randi and she knew how to ask the right questions to figure out what kind of wedding vision & experience we wanted so that she could design it to make it whimsical, picturesque, romantic, and natural! (The wedding planning process is so busy and daunting too, and it's so difficult to shop and inquire with different vendors in all of the wedding planning categories. Randi made me feel so assured in how she and Adrian could go through the entire process for the wedding! My brother in law has always been interested in photography for decades, and helped to look at many different photographers' samples - and declared that Randi's was the best quality by far! Other's promised extras like drones and extra photos, but my BIL said their photo quality was very simple point+shoot. We also personally loved Adrian's sampling of his prior beach weddings! Minor bonus is he spoke a little Polish and that helped with some of the family photo shoots!) Handling our shoots: Myself being shyer and unsure especially how to pose, Randi & Adrian knew exactly how to guide us for our photos along with the ceremony, beach and mountain scenery, backdrop, and throughout the reception -- while also making the wedding night be captured naturally. We could tell the extreme level of effort and knowledge they physically and visually put into preparing the right timing, scenery, lighting and flow of the night to get all of the right shots! Final products: We loved the way all of the high quality photos and video turned out, including capturing backgrounds, family, friends, our many couples poses, and the ceremony + reception. The photo album is such beautiful quality with glossy styling and gold-outlining on the thick pages, and the flow of the photos in the album all tell the perfect story of the wedding! (The 4k video theatrically captures the feelings and beautiful scenery of the entire wedding in a 3-min short that my family loved watching after, but of course is not pictured here).

Randi helps with posing in a way that feels natural, even for someone like me who can be a bit camera-shy! For the maternity shoot, Randi and her team went above and beyond.
