Bailey is back for more TLC at the best veterinary group in town! Great doctors, great techs, and friendly, efficient staff!

After trying two other vet offices in SCV, I FINALLY feel like my lil pup's problems are not just being attended to immediately, but also in the long run. Our dog has been having tummy flare ups on and off for almost two years, with no long-term plan for quite sometime. I explained our situation of previous vet visits and lack of treatment/long term care and I can tell both the assistant (I think her name is Cate) and the vet Dr. Hancock really LISTENED. Both were so kind and helpful -- Dr. Hancock even calls her patients "kids" and I absolutely love it. We actually have a diagnosis for the first time of this going on. Previous vets have told us "he's just stressed" and send us home because it's "not that bad." Today we agreed on a path to solve his problem ASAP and talked about preventatives, what to do when it happens again, and if it doesn't get better, some next steps down the road. She reassured my very stressed feelings but also explained how his issue isn't anywhere near what it could be (ultrasounds, scopes, etc.) -- so nice to hear from a professional that what I'm imagining as the worst case scenario is not happening, and even though his issue isn't an emergency, I could tell she wanted him to get better urgently and that it is an issue that needs to be solved. The meds they gave me were for two weeks but they helped me get the prescription for a year if we need it. There was no judgement, no pushing treatments or meds that weren't necessary at the moment. Just professionalism and kindness. My dog was anxious and loud the entire time and they were SO accommodating to him. The rooms are very clean! There is no waiting room and you just call in when you arrive; they come and grab you when a room is available--I prefer this method SO much since I know my dog would just go nuts seeing other animals. I thought it was all very reasonably priced -- especially after recently spending nearly a thousand at another office for care that made him worse. I hope we don't have to go back in anytime soon but if we do, I know he'll be treated so well. We're going to bring our sweet kitty here now as well. Thank you, Cinema!!!

By far the best vet office in town! I've got an older maltese so we're at the vet a little more often these days. Everyone at this office, the receptionist, vet techs, and vets are all very nice. Their prices are reasonable and the staff are all knowledgeable and go out of their way to make you and your pet comfortable with their treatment. I would highly recommend this place!

This post is long overdue! I don't often leave Yelp reviews but these ladies are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I'm just so sorry it took me so long to take the time to write a review. I have been coming to Cinema Veterinary Centre since Dr. Ronchetto opened in 2012. I followed her from Happy Vets. Quite simply I have always received the very best care from her and her amazing staff. Over the past 10 years we have had many visits for many pets from dogs, cats and Guinea pigs and we have always received top notch care! I have also seen Dr. Wheelbarger and she's equally knowledgeable and wonderful. I have cried with these ladies after the loss of very elderly pets and laughed together when I ask to pick their brains about animal care. I truly love all the ladies in this practice. My review wouldn't be complete without a shout out to Krysti & Sherri. These ladies are always so kind and caring. Over the years I have been lucky enough to deal with them and they are always so helpful. I believe the Doctors that run this practice make sure they employ the very best kind of people who care and love animals. Thank you ladies for being such good people who provide the very best possible care to our loving pets. I know I'm in good hands with this practice and am absolutely a client for life. Seriously can't praise each and everyone of them enough! I love them all!

Waiting for Dr. Wheelbarger, exotic avian specialist! 3

Really happy to have discovered Dr. Wheelbarger! Staff provided a hospitable & compassionate experience for today's wellness check up. We had a blood, fecal and protozoan tests performed for preventative measures. She was very meticulous in her protocols performed - evaluation, consultation and helpful in discussing options for preventative health assessments & measures. We are relieved & proud to have such a knowledgeable, avian / exotic experienced vet as Amber Wheelbarger, DVM to be our local specialist!

The staff is also always extremely friendly, and the facility itself is clean, new, and really nice. Backstory: one of my dogs woke up on a Friday unable to open his eye, which quickly turned into an infection and I spent 2 days trying to find a vet / urgent care to take him to near my home in North Hollywood. Every hospital in LA that I called, I was either met with an immediate "hello, please hold" (for 20 minutes), capacity already met, an absurd wait time with no promise of being seen, or unsympathetic staff saying "an eye infection is not an emergency". I called SC Animal Urgent Care & Wellness Center at 7:08pm on a SUNDAY, arrived at 7:45pm and was seen by Dr. Mousa by 7:55pm! From the second the receptionist answered the phone, I knew I was in good hands. She was extremely compassionate & quickly took my information, along with my dogs symptoms and told me to come right in to be seen by Dr. Mousa. Dr. Mousa is a GOD SEND!!! I am so blessed to have found him. Dr. Mousa examined & handled my dog with so much care and explained that he had an corneal ulcer which was quickly deteriorating his cornea and that if I had not brought him in immediately, he would have lost his eye (which was still a possibility at that point due to the 2 day wait trying to find a vet/hospital). Dr. Mousa's urgency along with his care, compassion and knowledge is the type of service you expect and deserve when you go to a hospital concerned, stressed and scared for your dog. Lexi (vet assistant) is phenomenal & so sweet!!! Lexi treated my dog like he was her own and she explained every step of what was happening and why, then what would be next. She even shared a story about her cat with me to show how she related to me in that moment. They are an amazing team and will give your pets the best car!

5 stars for the veterinary care itself…read more Our dog had to be sedated to remove foxtails, which turned what we thought would be a $50 check-up into an $850 procedure. Of course, that was unexpected, but once we understood it needed to be done, we were grateful they could help. The vets and vet assistants were excellent. At pick-up, they sat down with me, explained the procedure and results thoroughly, and never made me feel rushed. They even showed us the foxtails that were removed so we could understand exactly what had been causing the issue. That level of care and explanation was really appreciated. The only reason I hesitated on the rating was the front desk experience. On both visits, I wasn't acknowledged when I arrived. A simple "Hi, I'll be right with you" would have gone a long way, especially when you're waiting with a dog in pain or anxiously picking them up after a procedure. There were also some long waiting times in side rooms with little communication. That said, the actual veterinary care was excellent, and that's what matters most. I'm grateful they took good care of our dog.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolutely unethical and unacceptable…read more I strongly regret trusting Valencia Veterinary Center with my dog. My dog needed what was supposed to be a straightforward mass removal. During our consultation, we were told by the veterinarian that the mass did not need to be sent out for histopathology. We discussed removing that charge from the estimate, and this was confirmed by the veterinarian, a veterinary technician, and the front desk. We received a revised written estimate and paid the required deposit to schedule the surgery. Then we waited more than 30 days for surgery because of their scheduling availability. When I arrived to drop my dog off for surgery, I was suddenly presented with an estimate of approximately $2,394 -- nearly $1,000 more than what we had previously agreed upon. Suddenly, I was told that: * Repeat bloodwork was required because the previous bloodwork was more than 30 days old -- despite the fact that the delay was caused by THEIR scheduling availability. * Histopathology was now supposedly mandatory because of their accreditation -- despite the veterinarian, veterinary technician, and front office previously telling me it was not necessary and removing it from the estimate. I had the prior written estimate with me. I questioned why these requirements were suddenly appearing on surgery day. I was told I would forfeit my deposit if I didn't proceed, which left me feeling pressured to move forward. This is what I find unethical. If histopathology was truly mandatory because of accreditation, why wasn't that disclosed during the consultation? Why did multiple employees tell me it wasn't necessary? Why was it removed from the written estimate? And why was the requirement suddenly reinstated when I arrived for surgery? Likewise, if updated bloodwork was required after 30 days, why wasn't I notified before showing up for surgery? The clinic knew exactly when my dog's previous bloodwork was performed and when they scheduled her surgery. Pet owners should not be blindsided with hundreds or thousands of dollars in additional charges when they are standing there with their pet ready for surgery. I have copies of the estimates and will be attaching them to this review so other pet owners can see the difference for themselves. What should have been a routine procedure turned into an experience where I felt pressured, misled, and unable to trust the people responsible for my dog's care. I have filed a complaint with the California Veterinary Medical Board and am asking them to review the conflicting representations regarding the medical requirements and the circumstances surrounding the changing estimates. I will NEVER take another animal to Valencia Veterinary Center. Pet owners: Get every recommendation and requirement in writing, scrutinize your estimates, and don't assume the price or requirements you've agreed to will be the same when you arrive for surgery. There are too many veterinary practices that value transparency and treat their clients with honesty and respect. Based on my experience, Valencia Veterinary Center is not one of them. In regards to your response: I did not opt or agree to the histopathology, I was told that you required it for your accreditation (which is false) and that it was mandatory and if I did not agree to the histopathology you wouldn't proceed with the surgery and we'd lose our deposit. So we were forced to pay for it and I do not recommend anyone trust this veterinary clinic or their staff as I was told multiple times by other staff something different. You say the vet I saw was not your regular vet yet he was working at your clinic and paid for their work on your payroll correct? Than day of you at check in you present an extremely high estimate and advise the histopathology is "mandatory". You literally try to price gouge your customers and everything they was previously agreed upon you said was incorrect and that you would talk to your staff when you should've honored your word. Instead we were forced to pay for bloodwork and a histopathology that was not necessary.

Extremely Disappointing Experience--Unprofessional Handling of a Highly Trained Service Animal…read more I came in for a simple vaccine tech exam and requested to stay with my dog since she has never had an exam or vaccines done without me present. The staff seemed hesitant but agreed, noting that I wouldn't be able to restrain her myself--which I understood. At that time, I informed them of my experience as a prior K9 handler in the Navy and as a professional dog trainer these days. They didn't seem to care due to their protocol. Once we got into the room, things quickly went downhill. One of the techs was talking so loudly, it made both me and my dog uncomfortable. Also, saying things to the effect of "if you hold her there, I can sneak up behind her". The other tech's body language and approach were extremely tense, and when my dog tried to move away, the tech labeled my dog, "skittish." That couldn't be further from the truth--my Malinois is a service animal and is highly trained. Kimba has always done great during vet visits when handled confidently and calmly. After seeing how this situation was handled in front of an owner, I was relieved in my decision to stay with my dog. I can only imagine how they would handle a dog in the back without the owner nearby. It was very clear that the staff were nervous around her breed, and that tension completely set the tone. Instead of taking a moment to reset or try another approach, they became defensive and started touting their years of experience and arguing with me. One of the techs just straight up left the room. The one who was brave enough to stay tried to tell me that "some dogs only like one person"--my service animal is very well socialized to all environments and I trust my dog's judgement of certain people. Does she look like a one person dog to you? Overall, there was zero accountability or apology for how the situation was handled. Ultimately, we had to leave without my dog getting the care she needed. Not because of her behavior, but because of the staff's. It's unfortunate, because a calm, professional approach could've made this an entirely different experience. If you own a GSD, malinois/dutch shepherd, rottweiler, beauceron, australian shepherd, cattle dog, etc... don't bring your dog to Copperhill Animal Clinic for care.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND -- Amazing, compassionate, and fair veterinary care!…read more My cat recently developed symptoms of an upset GI tract, and I called early in the morning to check availability. They were able to see her the same day, which immediately relieved so much stress. Their later office hours were a huge blessing--especially compared to emergency clinics that easily charge three times as much. We arrived for our 5:30 appointment (they close at 8), and even with their day almost over, the entire staff was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. Dr. Brink was our veterinarian, and she listened carefully as I explained what had been happening. She immediately began narrowing down the possible issues and communicated every step clearly. Before doing anything, they brought in a full cost itemization and explained each item in detail, answering every single question I had. The pricing here is beyond fair--and transparent. While we were discussing everything, my cat had an accident in the exam room, and the staff insisted I didn't clean it and moved us to a fresh room without hesitation. My girl is extremely fearful, so sedation was difficult. Dr. Brink and her team worked tirelessly to help her, and even though we couldn't complete the tests that evening, they still sent us home with medications to treat her GI symptoms. They also discovered an ear infection during the exam and provided treatment for that too. I came in with one problem, and they sent us home with answers I didn't even know we needed--this alone impressed me so much. They made arrangements for my cat to return the next morning for another sedation attempt (for bloodwork and an IV). When I came in around 1pm to check on her, another doctor (not sure of her name, but she was pregnant and so kind) took the time to personally reassure me that my girl was doing great. Before sedating her again, they even called to confirm the full treatment plan--another huge green flag. Less than an hour later, they called to tell me everything had gone smoothly and her blood panel was already complete. They even cleaned my cat's ears out as she was sedated so I could easily apply her medicated drops. I have NOTHING but positive things to say about this veterinary hospital. The entire team is compassionate, patient, and truly dedicated. Thank you all for treating my spicy, demonic little goblin with so much love and care. You've earned a lifelong client! It's been about 3 hours since we left the clinic and my girl is purring, eating, drinking, and using the restroom all on her own! Already feeling so much better than the day we came in. This vet has only improved since Dr brink took over and I am certain things will continue to improve. We had already seen improvements since she took over I do wish they had some sort of emergency program where you could get seen possibly on an off day if someone was available. I know that would be hard but we had an emergency on a Sunday and had to take Maysie elsewhere and we received decent care where we went but this doesn't replace the trust you have in your regular vet I was able to get her seen on Monday here which was awesome so we could get confirmation on some things from someone we trusted I feel the care provided by Dr Brink towards the end of Maysies life allowed us to spend a little more time together I can't imagine working at a vet and everyone there was so great - even going back to when we first got mays. I hope they continue so that if we get another pet we could come here.
