The good, it's very clean I would even dare say cleaner then the majority of movie theaters ranging from other cinamarks, megaplex and amc theaters. The seats are comfortable somewhat... affordable ticket prices for the family. Bathrooms placed in good locations and clean which is really nice. The negative the chairs are not recliners, the walk ways between the rows is very narrow where it makes it very awkward. Lots of butt or groin to the face. Going back to the seats! Seats are also a massive aspect of what makes the movie experience magical. In this case it was cramped and it made my legs very uncomfortable. I'm hoping they put money aside to get recliners like other cinemarks. Fix the row spacing so it's not awkward. But I still prefer this location over alot of other theaters. Not happy with this theater. Went there afew days after Christmas. I am handicapped so walking long distance is very hard for me. Before the Pandemic there used to be seating along various places in the VERY long hallways. During the pandemic all benches/seating was removed and NEVER put back. Other theaters put theirs back especially where the rest rooms are so they can sit down and wait for someone to get out of the rest room, but not this one. My sons had to physically help me to the theater and back out the door. I wish there was more consideration for those who have major back or leg problems. It won't hurt to put the benches back!!!! If all you are looking for is watching a specific movie the Provo Cinemark will get the job done. If you are looking for a Cinemark experience go somewhere else. The theater is dated and worn not worth the premium price they should turn it into a discount theater. read more

I expected the recliner seats that a lot of the other Cinemark locations have, but these were just regular seats. Granted, they are decent leather (or pleather) seats that seem to be relatively new instead of dirty cloth so that is appreciated! A lot of the lobby was pretty messy, we saw a lot of popcorn and trash. They have a good candy selection, and they have a Cinemark brand of candy that's a little cheaper than the others. It's obvious that this theater is a bit older and hasn't had many updates over the years. It serves its purpose, though! read more

This place ran out of popcorn at 2pm on Thanksgiving weekend, and made people wait in line for over 15 minutes before they announced it. There were almost 100 people in line for concessions. Only one popper was even turned on, and the entire front concessions counter was closed. Literally dozens of people were turned away. Clearly there is some sort of staffing issue and their service is significantly lacking as a result. read more

The have a very bizarre policy for rated R movies after 6pm. They won't let kids in, even with parents after 600pm This is not readily disclosed on the website or during the checkout process as we purchased our tickets in advance. After we were refused entry, I diligently looked for 20 minutes on the website before I could find this policy. My family traveled from Heber to Provo just to watch this movie. The employee was exceptionally rude about it, and even stated " it's on the website, but really small" You want to refuse customers the things they paid and traveled for because you hide bizarre policies on your website, well then you suck. I typically prefer Cinemark over Megaplex because the seats are more comfortable-but this location is a bit behind the times. The seats, while more comfortable than the old theaters of 10 years ago, they were not on par with their sister theaters in other cities. They don't recline, which is a bummer. The location is shared with the local mall, which is fine. But the layout is a little odd once you get inside. For example, the restrooms are past the ticket taking booth. So you have to provide your ticket, then wind around to get to the bathroom. The food options are pretty standard-nothing remarkable. But if you want a full meal-arrive a little early and go to the food court in the mall. If I'm in town and there's a movie that I want to see, I probably would come back here. But I won't seek it out as the "must visit" location for all the shows I want to see. read more

If you have the choice, go to the Orem Cinemark. The customer service of these managers is laughable and their hostility is completely unwarranted. There have been multiple occasions when I visit the theater with an inquiry or desire to purchase an exclusive popcorn tin and the manager speaking with me treats me like I'm an angry Karen making a scene. I have worked in the service industry and make a point to always be calm and respectful when addressing an issue or question, so their immediate reaction to me is less than professional. On top of poor manager interaction, the theater lacks the updated benefits that other Cinemark theaters bring to the moviegoing experience. There is not a single reclining seat, which seems confusing since every other theater replaced them so quickly. I go here for convenience, but when I want a good experience, I'll go 10 minutes up the road to Orem. read more

Toy Story 4, for the third time! I'm starting to think I've taken the movie mantra "To infinity, and beyond" to an extreme! But it's a great movie, and anytime a family asks me to go see it again - I'll be there! The theater was nice, but needs updating. The seats are old but the theater was surprisingly NOT freezing! I was impressed to see management actually "dressed" like managers. The concession staff were kind and courteous/quick (for me.) Popcorn was good and there's a feee refill for the big tubs. They also allow you to bring in a bottle of water!!!! People make SUCH messes when they go to theaters. Very sad. This extends to the bathroom. I doubt any theater can keep up with the traffic flow (pun unintended!) This location is an anchor in a mall - so hopefully the mall will help Cinemark update this theater soon. I can travel 8-9 minutes and be in a much nicer Cinemark. read more

Alright look, Cinemark gets the job done, but not the same way Megaplex does. Here's what Cinemark does well: 1) Competitive prices, which are great. Some theaters have student pricing, which is a plus for being in the Provo area. 2) Wide selection of movies and concessions. They're not a boutique theater, and offer everything you'd expect in a big theater. Here's what they could work on: 1) Seats. They are not comfortable, and it's very clear that they're old. Hard plastic on the back makes it impossible to relax by putting your head back. 2) Cleanliness. Movie theaters are never spotless in general, but I've never been impressed with Cinemark and their lacking there. Tip- Get the kettle corn. It's a nice break from traditional butter popcorn, and it's delicious. read more

This is just like any other movie theater you'll go to. So if you are looking to see a specific movie, obviously this place will get the job done. I usually pick other theaters over this one because of two reasons. 1. This reason is a little smaller, but I haven't ever been here that there hasn't been huge lines for concessions. It is annoying to have to sit and wait in line while your movie is getting started without you. 2. This one is the kicker. To my knowledge, they don't have any luxury seating!!!!!! Come on you guys! This is 2018! Why watch a movie here when you could go to another theater and sit a lot more comfortably? This will continue to be the theater that I go to when the other theaters fill up. read more

The service here is always really quick! But that might be because we always come on week nights when its slow. This was our number one movie theater to go to because it was only 3 minutes away from us and we used to have Movie Pass. We might get Cinemarks membership in the future but we moved away from this location. I really like movie theaters in malls, and they had pretty good chairs. Nice theater. Part of the cinnemark theater chain. This one is in south Provo. It is part of the mall, with entrance being in the mall. Reserve seating Theater. So you can purchase or at least look at available seating for movies before you show up. Seats are they type that lean way back and can be troublesome to get comfortable, depending on where you are seated in theater. Popcorn and drinks are consistently high priced, so make sure to check your credit balance if you are using credit or debit card before purchases. Recommend you visit the pretzel place across from entrance in mall before you go into theater. Put snacks in your pocket or purse and munch during the movie and save big time. If you register on line with Cinnemark, they will email you coupons for concessions that help out big time. read more

$7.50 is a lot for cold stale popcorn. We even went back to the desk and asked for some less stale popcorn and yet again completely cold. This actually happened last time as well so be warned 1/5 of the time you'll get warm popcorn. read more

This is the theater I normally frequent in Provo because of it's location and cinematic feel. It's inside the mall near the food court, letting you grab a bite before heading in for a flick. They've got the decor down pat, providing a good movie experience. Seats are big and can lean back, and there is more legroom to speak of than most theaters. Prices are pretty decent too, especially at a matinee. The only downside is that for some reason, the loudest people in Provo like to attend this theater. I have never heard people talk or laugh so loud and so much during a movie. Fortunately it doesn't happen very often, especially during a matinee. But even during a matinee, there tends to be groups of senior citizens that talk and gasp really loud the whole movie (no offense to the elderly, it just happens). read more

Typical movie experience. But obviously, nothing that blows me away. They have a Tuesday deal that you should take advantage... or just go any day before 5 PM. -1 star for only having one concession stand open, blocking the other with obscenely large movie standups for upcoming releases, forcing the lines to be far too long - I missed some of the previews, my favorite part! -1 star for the excessive amount of idiotic teenagers in the theater. Yes, I realize that this can't really be helped, but hey, it's my opinion, my rating. I like coming to this theater because I can walk across the mall and get a pretzel at the Pretzelmaker while I wait for the time to enter the theater. It attracts a younger audience, mostly because the mall, Provo Towne Centre, is definitely aimed at a younger demographic. But if you can get over that, which I seem to have a problem with, then the experience is pretty good. The place can be somewhat of a maze if you let yourself get lost. All of the theaters are stadium seating, which is a plus for shorties like me. There's always some couple making out next to you, but that's become somewhat expected. Like I said earlier, the line for the concession stand was crazy. I'm sure that they just love saving the money they would be spending on two pimply-faced kids by not opening the other concession stand, but seriously - loosen the purse strings a little. Especially since they charged me $3.75 for a medium drink, and I looked down to measure how much they were making off of the crap candy - they charge $2.75 for a Nerds Rope. Holy crap...those things are about $.75 at the market. I was almost tempted to purchase the $3.75 Red Vines, but resisted. If you're going to visit this theater and there's a line outside to purchase tickets, just go inside and use one of the automated ticket machines. There's two of them and they never have more than one person in line for them, at least that's been my experience the past several times I've been there. It's way faster and you don't need to deal with any of the workers! I've never been disappointed in the theater itself. Movies I've seen there, definitely. But having seen Juno last, we left on good terms. read more

NO REFILLS on a $6 drink = go somewhere else. We have come to quite a few movies here this year but we will probably not go back. I would not recommend it! It's generally dirty, there are often treats and popcorn under your seat when you get there. They don't appreciate their customers much at all. They basically offer you no value. NO refills on anything even when you buy the largest. They wouldn't even fill my cup with water. their loyalty program is a joke. It's no wonder Megaplex is sucking all the business away. I would recommend finding a different venue to see your movies at! Also there is a center line on most of their screens. Not sure whether it's their projectors being out of date or the screens but there is a noticeable 5 foot section that is of different brightness that distracts from the movie. read more

Let's just say I'm being generous with "Meh." This Mall theatre complex has simply been around too long without a face lift. The face lift is coming, but not soon enough. I will say it has improved ever so slightly from the past 10 years or so, but it's so far behind that it can't catch up now. Megaplex is now close enough in proximity that it's worth the drive not to come here. I won't even call it competition because it wouldn't be fair. Let's start with the positive...they offer most of the same movies as everyone else, and you can purchase them online as they now have assigned seats FINALLY. They *sometimes* offer Smartwater vs. Dasani in their bottled water cooler (but the small will cost you the same as a large Dasani, just FYI). They've replaced the flat flooring with stadium seating, and the extremely nasty fabric seats with what I assume is pleather in all theaters I've been in. There's usually plenty of parking, above or beneath ground, unless there's a special event movie happening. Now the negative. There's so much! - Not enough bathrooms, and the ones they have are disgusting and tattered, and usually missing the necessary accoutrements. - The popcorn really blows compared to Megaplex's popcorn. - There are NO refills on anything. No value on the large sizes of the popcorn or drinks. - No customer rewards system, like Megaplex has. - The place is dirty everywhere you look. Not just old, but dirty. - No food here. If you're hungry, you're stuck with movie theatre snacks only. - The crowd here is usually unbearable. So many droned-out teens who appear to have nowhere to go and nothing to do; most appear to actually live at the Mall. - The back concrete exit hallways are disturbingly scary, and usually littered with trash and various other debris that I try not to focus on too much. I would never exit this way to the parking garage and surrounding areas alone. They could actually film a horror movie down there. Once the revamp of the Mall has been completed, I'm sure we'll see a much nicer theatre, that may or may not be a Cinemark. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see a "different brand" come on the scene. Either way, let's hope they find a way to improve this place in the future. Until then, I'll continue to smuggle in my own edibles if I somehow end up here. read more

This movie theater is ok-okay. We excited watch movie, however, the chair is uncomfortable. My husband is on wheelchair, he moved to chair and he said doesn't comfortable either since it hurt his hip. We have to leave this place middle of movie theater and got money back. This theater was kinda pricey (IMO) for it lacking 'fancy' features, but it was clean and the sound was good.

Unlike the Orem mall Cinemark this one is open 7 days a week every day of the year which is a huge plus. As I posted in my review on the Orem Cinemark this theater chain is very similar to AMC and Edwards theaters in California. Though without free refills on drinks. And with how pricey they are you would at least expect one or some kind of discount on a refill. The restrooms are always clean and with multiple it helps if you are in the back of the theater not having to walk all the way to the front. Other wise its what you would expect. read more

A rather what felt like outdated movie theater that just happens to play current films. The staff seem lost and more confused then anything. The ticket prices are okay. But the concession are way over priced. Yeah i know movie theaters food can be pricey but here it puts others to shame with their prices. And the concession workers are very rude. When I went to get a refill I found out there are none which is fine but the way the worker told me was rude. The restrooms smelled bad and did not seem that clean.
