This is pretty much our go-to theater. Ever since the pandemic started, we have been trying to find ways to get out and do things that make life feel like normal again. Ever since they reopened they have been offering private watch parties. $99 for a classic movie for up to 20 people ($149 for a new release). The screening rooms are always clean and smell fresh, the staff of friendly and willing to help, and the management is awesome as well. We've done this a few times with family and friends, but doing it for a date night is just fun and memorable. The only negative thing about this theater is that the seats aren't the most comfortable. read more

I only go to the midnight showings because I can't deal with disrespectful people who have no idea how to act in a social situation or in a quiet theater. That being said, it is much nicer when fewer people are there. The price is ridiculous! I'm sorry, but what you pay to see a movie today is outrageous. For 2 people including a large popcorn & 2 sodas we pay nearly $40. Ouch! The staff is friendly. The theater & restrooms are always clean. Keep in mind I'm there when it's not busy. Popcorn is sometimes chewy. Not good, considering the price. The volume! Dear Lord, the volume! It is so loud that in some parts of movies the speakers become staticky. I guess they turn it up so loud because people can't seem to chew with their mouths closed or avoid talking for 2 hours. So might as well deafen the patrons instead of kicking out those disrupting. The parking lot must have been zoned by an idiot. Very little parking up front. A whole lot of unneeded grassy areas. Most parking is way off to the sides in a darker area. Unsafe for women. Not smart! Another reason I won't go when it's busy. Who allowed such an unsafe parking area? That was just ignorant. Ok as far as theaters go. I rarely go though since the aggravation far outweighs the enjoyment. read more

Went to this theatre a few days ago and I had a blast. Concession prices have been reduced, the place was pretty much spotless with the occasional popcorn here and there, and the bathroom's were some of the best in terms of cleanliness that I've seen in public places. The staff were very nice, someone with longer hair with a Christmas hat grabbed me a bunch of new napkins after I had dropped mine on the floor, I loved the attention to detail and willingness to help. Other staff were great as well, concession was quick and easy. Movie theatre to my belief was pretty much spotless. Now onto the movie, the screen and theatre was pretty average compared to other movie theatre's. They are missing the luxury seating and the seats are quite close together, which can be a problem when it's really busy. Lighting and sound quality was good, temperature was a tad bit on the cold side, I'd say about 65°? May want to dress warmer. The concessions were pretty good, nothing special however. They were also out of cheese which can be a problem for some. Pros - Very friendly and helpful staff all around - Clean theatre & bathrooms - Prices are dang good Cons - Movie theatre seating and screen is average compared to other theatre's. - May want to dress a little warm. - No cheese In conclusion I would strongly recommend this theatre because of the staff and prices. read more

RANT- How tf do you guys do away with what used to be "free refills" on the large combos???! The staff operating the concessions had a blank look and its not their fault. I couldn't spot the manager but hopefully he see's this! Facility itself is nice/clean. read more

Went to see new Mission Impossible. We were told their computers were down and had to have cash only including refreshments. Out of 8 people in line all but 3 left..no cash! Things happen but my complaint is how the staff, including the manager were extremely rude and dismissive about the situation. The one large boy at refreshments shrugged his shoulders and stated "Oh well, that's the way it is. Not a single person actually apologized! I drove from LaPorte so had just enough cash for ticket. No refreshments isn't a big deal but but the whole experience really soured me. I'll go to Michigan City Theater from now on. Really horrible customer service. There were only 8 people in theatre and they complained about it also. read more

Very nice theatre. New and clean. Workers seem pretty great. They often don't have anyone tearing tickets in the vestibule before the hallway with the movie entrances, I like that there is no hassle. The parking seems poorly contemplated. Unless you get one of the 25 or so, spots in the front, then you end up parking way off to the side. This makes the walk inside pretty long. The silver lining is, if you park on North East side of the building, (where most of the parking is) you can walk to the exit at the end of the theatre and you essentially walk right out to your car. Cinemark is one of the worst movie theaters i've ever been to. The first movie we went to we had an employee call us "fucking insane" for going to see a movie tuesday morning. Then we went in and got told we couldn't see a movie without documentation of being over 17. I am well over 17 and I look it. The manager was rude and barley said a word. Overall I think if you could pick literally any other movie theater in the whole entire world you should. read more

This location is usually clean and the workers are usually friendly. The movies start on time. I would recommend this location to anyone.

This is one of the better movie theaters I have gone to. It doesn't have character like sine of the old time theaters,but it is great none the less. The place is always very clean. The seats are comfortable and most importantly, they here much more leg room than anywhere else. The sound system is also of excellent quality. If you live by this place,I would go here. read more

Terrible business can't wait till portage imax opens back up tried to see a movie with my wife and they wanted to make her sit on the other side of the theater for there bogus assigned seats. If you can't open don't open then, there's no way I want to see a movie with my wife next to strangers across the theater. Went tonight with my friend. Line was long to get your ticket. Neither line said pay with card only or cash only. My friend had to get out of line to go to the other one. I ended up having to pay for her (which I didn't mind) because otherwise we wouldn't be able to sit next to each other bc we were paying differently and they make you choose a seat now. I don't like this way, I think it only takes more time in lines and causes more conflict. One lady in like left bc she needed an end seat and there were no more available. read more

I was profiled as a "movie theif" while taking my 6 yr old to the bathroom. My husband had our stubs. The young man was not at his post when we went to the bathroom. He was when we came out and persisted to harrass me an almost 40 yr old with a 6 yr old for a movie that was ending in 5 min. I get that he has a job to do but come on really? I spend way to much money there to be treated like a teenage kid with his friends trying to sneak into a movie. Definitely needs to be some customer relations training and if the ticket stub check point is so crucial, why was there no one there when we initially passed by it to use the washroom. If it is the standard procedure to check stubs upon reentry, there should be someone manning the post at all times so I wouldn't have to have gone thru the embarrassment of having a young teenager scold me for not retrieving my tickets from my husband before my 6 yr old had to pee. read more

Nice. Clean theaters with good sound. This place certainly feels new, I hope it stays that way. The single cashier doing both tickets and concessions wasn't working very well, but I suspect they were doing that because it was a slow weeknight. I only go to Cinemark because it's the closest theater from my home. I also signed up and receive weekly coupons online. Technically it does pass as a movie theater but the sound quality is just awful and I have good hearing. I could hardly hear over the chewing of popcorn. The picture is of the lowest possible quality for a public movie theater. The seats are cheap and small. Even the popcorn is below standard. It is clean only because it's still fairly new. This morning I realized my wallet was gone from my purse. What a sick feeling! The only place it could be was at the Cinemark Theatre in Valpo. We took our grandson to see Rio 2 last night. My husband went to the theatre and waited outside the door until someone saw him and opened the door. They had the wallet and everything was in it. I am so thankful and relieved.
