This place is a great option for a movie in northern Delaware. There are several theaters around but this one has great seats, clean bathrooms, easy purchasing options and while it gets crowded on weekend nights, it's relatively uncrowded during the days and week nights. Recently tried the newer D Box seating that you can purchase for some thriller and action films. It was fun having the movement in the chair and made the experience a little more intense, but it wasn't an extreme difference from a normal seat. It costs more FYI. read more

This theatre, sadly, is no longer a fave of mine. Cleanliness seems to be an afterthought. The recliners are so tattered and worn but the theaters are dark so you'd probably never even notice. My toxic trait is I pay attention to everything lol. I love concessions but I peer through to the other side and have always notice trash and no one wearing gloves while handling food so I never bother to get food at this theater. This also seems to be a hangout spot for high school kids. My movie had kids on their phones taking videos, running up and down the stairs....and this was on a Sunday afternoon. One patron even got up to scold them but it made no difference. It is convenient and fairly inexpensive for the movies but if you want an enjoyable experience, go elsewhere. read more

This Theatre is Simply the Best! The workers all are very helpful, pleasant & accommodating. The lobby is comfortable & pleasant with ample seating & tables. We love the fact that you can make orders to have food & drinks brought directly to your seats. The atmosphere is very relaxing, bright & welcoming. The theatre is kept very clean overall. The restrooms are well maintained. The wall to wall picture screen is Engrossing & Encompassing. The XD Experience is Wonderful. The Sound envelopes you & the Recliners are so comfortable it makes you feel like you are actually in the movies at time. We actually felt like we were floating in the air & flying with the characters in some of the pictures. My Mother & I have a monthly date. She is on oxygen & they have electrical outlets in the areas where the seats are located for direct access. We joined the Movie Club because of the Pleasurable times we had while visiting during the Summer. I can't think of a better place to go for a Movie Experience that is above the normal expectations when going to view a Movie. We travel over 10 miles to go to that particular location because we have been spoiled and expect nothing less than the Caliber of Entertainment we get from this location. read more

Pretty good theater overall. Nice and spacious waiting area inside with cushy chairs. I kinda wish they had a bar, there is definitely room for one. The concession stand runs pretty smoothly mainly because you pay at the end of the line cafeteria style. And here the employees will "layer your popcorn" with butter. That's great so I don't feel obnoxious by asking if I can have it buttered in the middle and again on top. And, if your popcorn still gets dry towards the end you can actually go butter it yourself at the counter with the condiments. You can choose and reserve your seats on line. And they are roomy and recline you nicely. Since I was last here they've added an extreme digital auditorium with a wall to wall screen with some thousands of projection colors that promise the ultimate viewing pleasure. Great theatre! The theatre has comfortable seats that recline and the theatre was clean.The prices of the concession are a high but that is to be expected. Horrible customer service I asked for pizza which is clearly advertised the cashier said it will be ready when the employee comes back from break with a carefree attitude I asked for a manager next thing you know the entire establishment was whispering. This was my first visit and last it was very unclean seats and drink holders were dirty pizza tasted old but manager said it was just made evem though it was none out when I wanted to purchase some The bathrooms were filthy the entire establishment was filthy employees hanging out talking instead of cleaning up the establishment to make it tidey to top that when I purchased the tickets they only gave my husband the military discount instead of entire family that was a slap in the face. It's very hard to tell which letter the rows are, we had to ask the the people already seated. The seats have been repaired recently.the seats do look better in some cases, but how long are they going to last.

All I can say is wow I can't believe how filthy the room was and we were the first party of the day. There was left over food and drinks from the previous party. We had to ask someone to come clean the sink and remove the left over food and drinks. There was no trash can liner we had to ask for one. The carpet was never cleaned. I asked to speak with the manager Brenna and she listened to me when I asked her to make it right. Unfortunately that's all she did. I was told she is new and not well trained. She was responsible for the party room and obviously never checked it. Poor management skills. Hopefully she uses this as a learning experience. read more

Awful. Accidentally left my wallet behind for less than 10 minutes. I was the last person to exit the theatre other than the staff for "cleaning." Upon returning once I realized i didn't have my wallet, the staff member immediately knew what I was talking about, went to get it from the office, took a few minutes, but returned it to me. All of my cash and a credit card was missing, I immediately noticed and said something. The "manager" aka a 17 year old kid told me there are no cameras and I shouldn't accuse them. I did not accuse, I told them things were missing and asked that they check their tapes since it had been less than a 10 minute span. They laughed and treated me disrespectfully. It's been awhile since I've visited this theater. One thing I do kind of like is their concession stands. Can be a bit absurd, but it's something about their soft pretzel bites dipped in warm melted cheese that I like. Probably the only reason why I wanted to see a movie here. Except for the broken soda machine out front, it was an absolute joy to be in this theater. The placed looked like a newer theater and the seats were all luxurious leather lounge recliner style seats for the same price I'd pay at any other movie theater with regular seats. The entire theater was nicely air conditioned and the staff was exceptionally well organized and ready for cleanup after a show ended. It was like everyone had a purpose and liked their job. I really don't understand. The two times I've been here, the movie theater was packed. The second time we were here, we had to push our movie to a later viewing time, because we were left with the seats way up front that were too close to the screen. If you do plan to see a movie here, definitely get here 20-30 minutes before previews if you want good seats. read more

We tried to see a movie at the Christiana Cinemark yesterday and the only theater where it was showing had the newer X D format. We never made it to the movie. The sound experience of just the previews was so loud that it hurt our ears. This level of decibels has to be damaging to your hearing!!! We had to leave before the movie began. Asked the manager if it could be turned down, but it was not possible. Awful experience. The manager seemed to understand and gave us our money back. Said he has had other complaints. read more

We tried out a private watch party today. The kids were so excited to get to be in a theater safely. Every staff member we encountered from the box office to the concession staff to the ticket taker to the manager was pleasant and accommodating. Well I will say this. Go see The Hateful Eight. And if you're reading this a year from now, rent The Hateful Eight. It's Tarantino's best work. Yes, better than Reservoir Dogs, better than Inglorious Basterds, better than Django Unchained; even better than Pulp Fiction. It's that good. Now on to this awful movie theater. Where to start... Well the ticket machines outside were broken. Then when I went in to buy tickets at the counter, they asked for my ID. I've never heard tell of this. I easily could have left my wallet at home. What would I have done if I had gone to see an R rated movie four years ago? Completely stupid. No other theater does this. Here's my conversation with the lady at the concession stand: The lady- "How may I help you?" Me- "I'll have a-" The lady- "WHY IS THIS POPCORN SO WHITE? I PUT IN A TON OF OIL!" [diverts her attention back to me] "Oh sorry, how can I help you?" Me- "That's fine. Can I get a-" The lady- "RICK! RICK! WHEN SHOULD I DUMP THIS POPCORN? IS IT READY???" [looks back at me] "Oh sorry, what can I do for you?" I'm thinking, "If you're so freaking sorry, you'd stop interrupting me while I'm trying to order!" Anywayyyyyyyy........ The popcorn was nasty. Not mediocre. Nasty. Flavorless. I hardly ever put butter on my popcorn, but I felt the need to do it with how bad this one was. I go over to the butter machine, and I press one down and it's out. So I go to the other one and it says it's out of order. And there was a worker in the middle (who was in a suit and tie yet looked 15 years old) who didn't say or do anything. This is my favorite movie theatre in the area. It is the MOST UP TO DATE THEATRE in the area. You can reserve seats, they have a bar, you can order tickets and the lines move fast. The theatre areas are ALWAYS CLEAN. Employees seem fine. Both rooms are ALWAYS clean. This location ALWAYS has the best movies. What more can you ask? What a crap place. When it opened they really seemed to be on top of things. That was like maybe less than 5 years ago? Now the ticket machines are just.. gone. Sorry but no one wants to wait in line to buy a ticket from the 1 person manning the counter. Just buy them online I guess. The food court is a JOKE. Why are things under heat lamps not even lukewarm? Why are pretzels cold? Also lined up weirdly in the box. I'd at least like to be tricked into thinking I didn't pay $10 for 10 baby pretzels. Pile those things in a sloppy mess! The slushie machine wasn't even making slushees. Put an out of order sign on it then! If I wanted straight soda then I'd get that! But I want some SLUSH man. The theater is beautiful in its self, I love the small intimate style theater spaces; keeps down overcrowding. I did notice that when the seats are inclined in your row it makes it difficult to go to the restroom because of the limited space in between where the seating extends and the row in front of you, so you pretty much have to disturb everyone in your row in order to get out. Also, the seat numbering thingy why???? Makes no sense, it should be the same as any theater... first come first seated. read more
