First time seeing a movie here. Love the size of the theater. The temperature was good, unlike the one at Del Monte Center. The place is clean enough. We enjoyed Avatar today. Concessions are stuoid money, but that is part of the cost of going. 2 matinee tickets, 1 vitamin water , 1 iced tea and 1 box of candy was $60. We don't do it often, but we had fun. read more

This movie theater is fairly new, with easy parking and online ticket purchase. They just recently completed a beautiful mural on the front, really enhancing the entry experience. The Tuesday showings offer senior discounts, and practically empty theaters. Notes: new eating options are opening up all around the theater, including a good brewery. Final note: for some random reason, the few people in the audience have always been courteous and quiet during the showing! Yeah! read more

The theater was clean and well maintained. It was a bit confusing at first since there was no one at the entrance to scan our tickets, and we had to go to the concession stand instead. The staff there were friendly and helpful, directing us to the correct theater. This location didn't have recliner seats, at least not in the auditorium we were at. We had a "WICKED" good time. The theatre is clean and comfortable. The popcorn is tasty. Parking is a bit cramped, due to construction. That'll be worked out in time. The BEST PART was the efficient, well trained, and personable staff who helped us get a seating issue worked out quickly and easily--and with plenty of time to get in to see our movie. I wish I remembered the name of the person who worked out our complication. Started with an A! She deserves an A+ for the job well done!! read more

Went to see How to Train your Dragon tonight, the theater was not clean when we entered and it smelled bad. Then to top to it off the lights didn't come on after the film ended so everyone sat confused and waiting through the credits, a female worker then proceended to come in and shine her phone and say "What are you guys still doing get the fuck up and leave" we then had to get up in the dark and manouver around the trash that was already there. Movie at 8pm didn't start till 8:25, we sat through 25 minutes of commercials. We watched smile and it is rated R but there were small children. The sound was on so high we couldn't enjoy the movie, it was hurting my ears. We usually go to lighthouse cinema anyways, and we will never come to any of these theatres again. Seems like a newer theatre. Cinemark builds some good theaters. I went here just to check out the XD thestre. This location is shockingly small for the size of the building. I really do mean it only 5 screens here. 1 XD and 4 regular. They XD theatre was small for the screen size. I was expecting rows and rows of seats. The XD screen is only line 75 foot. The sound is 11.1 surround sound. Hopefully you watch a movie here they had a DTS-X audio track! It will sound very impressive. The projector is a single projection Barco. The color was very good and the dark areas displayed good contrast. Nothing got washed out in darker scenes. Definitely not the brightest I've seen. The only let down for me was the screen is not a 2:35 ratio. Many newer movies are being filmed is 2:35 making this screen out dated. So with you watch a movie here that's filmed in 2:35 you will see black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. The staff was all smiles and happy to share details on the design. They offer edies ice cream, milkshakes and even star bucks for purchase. As well as the normal popcorn, candy and soda. read more

Tons of people here on Jan 1st. Only one person in the box office selling tickets. Only 3 people working in the small concessions and they were slooow. Huge line. They don't sell alcohol here but their website says they do. Really Disappointed in that. Really cramped and uncomfortable seating. Weird parking lot. There are better options out there. read more

Theater 5 is the XD screen and the largest theater they have here. It's a small facility overall but screen 5 is pretty big. It has 13 surround left speakers and 13 surround right speakers. There are 6 rear speakers. I counted 2 rows of 5 speakers in the ceiling, so 10 Atmos speakers. The sound was good though not great. The loud explosions were not too overpowering and the quiet dialog was still discernible. I only saw one movie so the sample size is 1. Popcorn was average, not very hot and way too salty. I logged onto my Cinemark account and still had 2 credits from 2019 that were still valid so that was a pleasant surprise. I still had to pay $3.50 to purchase 2 tickets online though. That was unpleasant... Matrix 4 is playing too, but Spiderman will be in theater 5 for a while I'd guess. read more

Small theatre. Movie starts at 9:50 p and the attendant was still cleaning the theatre at 0935pm. Not a lot of places to sit as you wait to be let in. We watched 40 min of commercials, it's ridiculous. There were probably only 3 movie previews. Seats are uncomfortable. Popcorn was stale. read more

This little movie theater in Marina is a real flash to the past, by that I mean: First they don't recliner seats which I feel is absolutely ridiculous, since watching a movie in a recliner my experience in not reclining seats actually decreases the my experience. Secondly, they only have like 5 screens and as a result don't always have the biggest selection of movies, but both of those points are really nit picky, in general they have good customer service and the concessions are small but still good. Just viewed DUNE. A great movie with powerful performances. 5 stars for the movie, 0 for this theatre. Don't go. Unfortunately, this theater has the sound jacked to 12, of 10, making this experience the worst. It was just shy of painful. Some of the dialogue was drowned out by the accompanying music and sound effects as well. Just for reference, I've experienced movie theaters with sticky floors, copious qualities of trash, popcorn and soda falling from the balcony, hard seats, bad viewing seats, talkative viewers and ushers with roving flashlights in your eyes. But at least my ears didn't bleed when i left. !, and I have a hearing deficit in one ear. If there was a feedback card I would have filled it out, but it's a fast exit out. You would think that owners/operators would take more of an interest in how paying customers experience their product, especially when businesses are hurting. Not worth going to this theatre again. read more

Modern movie theater opened in 2015 with 5 screens including XD. I like that it is not crowded most of the time. The stadium seats are comfortable and there are lots of food choices. The people always seem nice and the location and parking is convenient and easy. read more

We were looking to watch a movie on our visit to the area and saw this had something we wanted to watch so we drove up from Monterey to check it out. Not a bad drive around 10 to 15 minutes. Definitely a new theater and we really liked the huge cushy chairs and massive screen. The box office (counter) is on the inside as is the case with some of the newer theaters. We will definitely come back when we are back in the area. read more

Normally this theatre is very nice and clean. Tonight 6/25/19 it was the dirtiest I have ever seen it since it's been open. The bathrooms were very dirty as well. There was toilet paper/straws/popcorn all over the floor and hallways of the theatre. Even behind the food counter, empty Cheeto bags were thrown all over the counter. So disgusting!! Granted it was Tuesday when it's cheaper but please get more workers to do these jobs on these days. Management did a terrible job tonight managing and keeping this place clean and presentable. Jeez. I feel like it's been a day of complaining, but what is up with common courtesy lately. This used to be our favorite theater. I always tell people to go to it- it's clean and the seats are the most comfortable in the area. But tonight we showed up late to see a movie. Our risk totally. Bought all our food and went in the theater. It was too packed to sit together. It would have been nice for them to tell us the movie is almost full (when you see a family with kids about to go in) like Del Monte does, but whatever. So the kids are crying because we decide to leave since we'd have to split up. We wait about 10 minutes for the manager to come to get a refund on our tickets and food. She was very curt and rude and no eye contact. Not even a sorry about making you wait or any empathy. Super disappointed in the manager, Ms. Ramos's, behavior. Even my 10 year old could have known how to be polite. So here's a pic of us excited to come in to see a movie together as a family on my birthday, and then we left with crying kids and another example of rude behavior and awful customer service. Except for the ticket taker. He was super nice and friendly with a smile on his face. And the employees selling the food. They were great! Just an incompetent manager that needs lessons in customer service and a drop of kindness. *FYI- apparently it takes 7 days for a ticket refund to go into your bank account. Would have just been easier to offer 4 tickets to the next movie or gift card for 4 tickets, but what do I know. **Went to a later one at Del Monte. They make eye contact there. And are friendly. The air conditioner is freezing so make sure to wear your fuzzy socks and big coats. Other than that, they have a good snack section with ice cream and coffee. Came here 8 hours early to see the Stat Wars Force Awakens premiere, movie was great. But what was even better were the people who were so polite to me and the others waiting in line. They let us use our Bluetooth speaker and phone to watch the original trilogy while we wait. They let us into the theatre early to get good seats and then played trailers while we wait, it might not sound like much but it was better than +2 hours of ads. The theatre itself is amazing, large, spacious, and clean as a 5 star hotel. To be clear we were in the XD room so normal showings might not be as luxurious but if you're looking for a good place to see a XD/ 3D movie, this is it. I was going to go to San Jose to see the movie but in glad a came here instead. Best of the best. read more

Never coming back. Movie was scheduled for 4:05 but we had to watch 25 minutes of movie previews so it didn't start until 4:30. A few previews is understandable but 25 mins worth is a waste of time. This is another reason why streaming video from home is killing theaters. I've been to other theaters this year that didn't drag on the previews. read more

The theater itself was nice, the kettle popcorn was great and I like the chairs but what really annoyed me was the manager. I came to see Clifford with my son, my mom, and my three nieces and nephews. Absolutely nothing suspicious but I was running late so she gave my tickets to the front desk and gave them mine and my sons description. When I got there the worker who was holding the tickets had just gone on lunch and the other coworkers didn't know anything about my situation. I gave them my moms name and the seat number and how she ordered the tickets online if they wanted to look it up so they let me through. I never once gave any reason as to mistrust me I was being nice and that was reciprocated. Then the manager had someone come in after a few minutes and once they saw me they left, I didn't think much about it but after the movie the manager was watching our EVERY MOVEMENT. She didn't watch anyone else but basically escorted us out the door. They weren't closing and we weren't movie jumping or something stupid with all those kids I have no idea what was going on but it was very uncomfortable. read more

Finally, a theater in Marina! This is HUGE news, especially living in a small town. If you live in Marina/Seaside, no need to drive all the way to Monterey! The location is convenient. I live five minutes away from the theater which meant I left my house 15 minutes before the movie = ULTIMATE LAZINESS. The theater is tiny, but still gets the job done! It has wall to wall screens with great sound quality. My family and I watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 3D and it was perfect. The pleather seats were comfortable and seating area was spacious. The room is pretty empty, which is a good thing. No senior or student discounts here, although they may accommodate a military discount.
