I went to the movies with some friends and the lady in the front asked one of my friends for ID. When my friend acquired a picture of her ID the woman started to question her about her address and her birthday. My friend calmly answered all of her questions when the lady says "I have eyes and can see the picture, keep your sarcasm". My friend then replied what she was referring to because we were caught off guard and confused then the lady kicked us out and sent a big guy to get us out of there. When I asked if we could be refunded on our way out they threatened to call the cops on us so we walked out. Horrible attitude and kept all of our money without allowing explanation or bringing the manager when we asked for him/her. Have never had an experience like that and would not return to this theatre. The lady that caused this scene was the short chubby darkish one with the piercings in the front. Do not go here! Has this happen to you? Where you send $10 or more on a movie and it suck! Then you rent DVD's which is not bad cause $1 and some cents on a movie that you don't know if it's gonna be any good. But sometimes you want to get out of your comfort zone, and have a theater experience! I recommend this place! The seats are shabby but the place is clean . The staff are helpful and they have security at night. We went to go see BURNT, for food critics like us I truly recommend this movie, also the movie CHEF. read more

Cinemark Movies 6 - Cinema Near Me - McAllen, Texas

First time being here and it's a pretty decent place. Tickets are cheap compared to other theaters near by. Not too crowded for a Weekend. They have a bit of everything at the concession stand. I didn't see a butter machine for the popcorn so I was bummed about that. I also didn't see the condiments for the hotdogs. I might have just missed it. This theater is the best in town because of their fine movie choices. They always have something new to offer the public every Friday. Plus the fact that they are low cost, it's great for any budget. I recently saw 'TRUTH OR DARE' and I enjoyed the film plus they recently put in new seats. I was very comfortable watching the movie. Overall, they are a wonderful Theater and I have been going for years since I was a teenager. I am now in my 30's and it is still one of my favorite theaters in the RGV! I've been here a couple times with a friend. It's super cheap ($2 per person), has comfortable seating, is never crowded, and has okay movies playing. It's great for those who want to do a cheap, low-key, night out--maybe after dinner or before a different venue. read more

It's ok. It's affordable so at least my family can go see movies together without breaking the bank. Just don't expect a fancy modern theater. The movies are older, so at least if you miss it at regular theaters you might be able to see it here right before it goes to DVD. read more

I like it. decent flicks no block busters. comfy seats, friendly staffers and its priced for the regular guy/gal. Popcorn is usually fresh. parking can be challenging if its a popular movie so get there early or park in the back. The police are on foot patrol so they do a good job of keeping it safe. all in all its a great place to enjoy a movie and relax. read more
