I was disappointed because the online pictures look appealing but the place has an incomplete look. There was always a table out of place or a cleaning bucket out. At the patio area there is no signage towards an exit or boundaries and the gardening tools are in plane view. I had a chile relleno which was better than most I've had. My husband had enchiladas which he enjoyed as well. The shocking part for us were the chips that tasted old and bland- it's puzzling that they got the most basic part wrong. I was expecting a better experience. Upon entering the place smelled like they had moped with dirty water. So we sat outside. The prices were on the higher side and the food was not impressive. I ordered the tripas appetizer and they were not cut, it was very difficult cutting them to an appropriate size since the knives were dull and the tripas were not tender. I think the prices are to compensate for the beautiful setting. I would go here again if I wanted to take photos at a nice outdoor place (I won't). read more

But at my arrival I learned that people were able to get patio reservations. On the positive side Food was excellent . The good: unique and nice environment. Beautiful outdoor seating area. Upon entrance was greeted by a friendly staff and quickly shown our area. The waiter did warn us they were extremely short staffed but still managed to provide excellent service. The enmoladas de pollo were delicious. Mole sauce was exquisite. The sopa de mariscos was a larger portion than expected but it was absolutely yummy. The bad: the drinks were bland, needed more alcohol and not worth the price or hype. The outdoor seating was hot. Highly recommend fans and some repellent for mosquitoes. The outdoor area is beautiful but could use those two things. The ugly: didn't get to try the dessert! This place is great for parties. My dish (photo) was fine. I'm picky about my rice and that rice was good but it was barely at room temp. Two other people at my table did not enjoy their dishes (machaca al gusto). The egg wasn't fully cooked even after asking for a hard scramble when ordering. The service was poor. We had heard this before going but hoped it would be different for us. The hostess did not ask me (as I stood waiting) how she could help me. I had to get her attention and ask to be seated. She told me it would be a minute. She was more concerned with looking over party reservations for the day and then walked away. Another server walked over and asked me if I had been helped. I told him I asked for a table but the hostess told me to wait. He sat us right a away. The restaurant itself is very nice. Service and food needs to improve. They've been open long enough now to have figured out one or the other. To add we went at 1130 on a Saturday. The restaurant was not busy yet. I had the salmon al cilantro. The portion and taste was good but the prices are higher than most places. I'd say like 25% to 30% higher and it does make a difference.
