Clean theater. Comfy seats, the kind of seeds that go back like a relaxing chair that someone may have in their house. It's been years since I've been in a theater, but I had to go out and see the movie, Obsession. I miss the days when you could get your ticket and find your own seat when you get inside the theater, but this time I ordered online to get my ticket before beforehand and chose my own seat. The attendants were very helpful. Should be noted that when I order the ticket online since I had never ordered from there before I got a free one month subscription to audible, which was nice. Can't complain about that. I expected the theater to be mostly empty since I was going during a weekday, but that wasn't the case. Maybe it was because of this one particular movie is getting a lot of word-of-mouth traffic or maybe it's always busy during the day. The theater was packed and I knew it would be because seats were limited when I ordered online. They said movies were dying, but I didn't see that this day Didn't go to the concession stand because I had a feeling popcorn and a drink would make this a $60 experience based on what I have been hearing lately about movie prices. So don't quote me on that part. If I did have to think of one complaint, maybe it would be the amount of commercials being shown while we're waiting for the movie to be played but what can you do? They've got to pay the bills. I have also heard people complaining that the etiquette is almost gone now, but I had a pleasant experience in this theater. The $5 Tuesday movie deal is the best way to movie! I bought the tickets online, so together with taxes and fees it was $15 for two tickets, which is normally the price of one. So, I was happy! I love this location. It's right in the middle of Perkins Rowe. Since we already had our tickets, we just took the tickets inside to the stop right before you go back to the theatre. They just scanned my phone and off we went. These are recliner seats! We saw Twisters, so the theatre was pretty full, and we had to sit up front. I thought this wasn't going to be good with how close we were, but it was actually nice. I wasn't straining my neck to look up, and the volume was pretty good. We walked into the unisex bathroom to see people doing very inappropriate things and when reported to the manager, we were informed that they were unable to anything about it. not even an apology was given, nothing. 2. The place is run down and filthy, as well as expensive. 3. we went and saw hamilton in theatres and at the beginning, the director states to have fun, sing and "turn up" but when we were quietly singing along, we were confronted by management and threatened to be kicked out. i highkey do NOT recommend visiting this theatre, please spend your money more wisely. read more

So this place is KINDA new and improved. We're talking luxury seats, the ability to choose your seats WHILE PURCHASING YOUR TICKETS; what is this a THEATER?!?!? Lol. I love the idea of choosing seats, kinda makes you wanna get there super duper early huh? FRONT ROW, SECOND LEVEL!!!! Yassssssssssssssss!!!!! We have a family tradition of going to see a movie on Christmas Day. This year, we chose to go to Cinemark since they had the movie we wanted in multiple formats with show times throughout the day. This was our first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised. The entire atmosphere feels upbeat and modern. We felt like we were definitely doing something extra special for Christmas. Perkins Rowe in general definitely has a "chic" vibe and the movie theater is no exception. Everything was spotless, and had a high end feel. We will be back. read more

Baton Rouge is spouting up new theaters all over the city but none are better than this one (at least for now). The lobby is very grand with a massive chandelier with artistic decor from the ceiling to the ground. Ticket prices aren't bad ($8.50 for adult) and parking is just around the corner in the garages. I love the seating in the theaters, which are comfy with plenty of leg space and the chairs recline and the armrests are adjustable. Being that its quite humid down south, air conditioning is key and the theater blasts it just right. The bathrooms are super nice, though it seems they run out of paper towels a little too often. The customer service is also really nice here and super helpful even though the theater is too easy to navigate. read more

Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of going to the movies. (crowds, darkness, people talking and on their phones, kids sneaking in, etc), I enjoyed my experience at Cinemark on a Wednesday evening. It was a bit odd having to check and reserve seats when we arrived (that was new to me at the movies), but once we found enough to fit our group, we got the needed amount. I hadn't been to the show in so long that I didn't realize the seats reclined. That was nice and comfortable. Prices are reasonable enough. I don't eat movie food, so I cannot speak for that. My only critique is that the bathrooms were quite gross. Considering it was not a busy evening for the theatre, I didn't expect it to be that gross. But I guess you can't control people from being disgusting. read more

I am not a fan of reserved seating at movie theaters now! Soooo annoying. Recently, the fams and I watched the Lion King and had to choose our seats ahead of time. It's so hard to determine which is best, until you actually get into the theater. Because the screen was bigger, our seats felt like they were way to close. I tried to get them changed at the box office, but it was a no-go because we used "rain check" passes. In the XD Theatre, anything row F & up is pretty good. Anything lower, if you have motion sickness, you could possibly get sick because from the movement on the screen. I probably would never sit at the front at this specific theatre. The seats in this specific theatre are great... comfy, reclining and you can put your feet up; definitely like the comfort of your own home. What I love most about Cinemark is that it's located at Perkins Rowe that has a bunch of restaurants and shopping + Barnes & Noble books that you can visit before or after the movie. Guess what? Our favorite movie theater in Baton Rouge! We're big movie-goers. We're here at least twice a month. Love, love, LOVE the upgraded seats with the full reclining action. I'm a girl that loves her popcorn with her movie. I like to layer the freshly popped corn with some buttery goodness between each layer. No problem! The concessions staff is happy to let me do our large popcorn in 1/3's to get the butter/popcorn ratio just how we like it. Only on a couple of occassions have we had issues, and they were not with the theater, but with other people in the movie theater with us. I've had to get a manager on 3 different occasions due to people near me staying on the phones during the movie or people behind me kicking my seat. The manager took care of the situatio each time. Once, after the 3rd time coming in to ask an ADULT to shut her phone off, he provided a refund for our tickets as we obviously did not enjoy the experience on that visit. read more

This is my go to theater for several reasons. One great reason is that it's in Perkins Rowe where theres a few options for dining and shopping prior to or after your movie. Another thing I love is that the seats recline. There's nothing like cozying up to your beau while you lay back and enjoy the movie. I also love the kettle corn! Because who doesn't love kettle corn?! If it could be made fresh every time would make it even better. They also have a little bar to accommodate your adult beverage needs. When I want to see a movie I honestly try to go here first. Also, they have $5 movies on Tuesdays ! That's always a win. read more

Yay. Since they have transformed into the XD magic with comfy reclining seats, I am a fan! They now allot seats at the time you buy tickets. The movie experience has certainly improved. Compared to the AMC nearby, this one is better I feel. Its like watching movie sitting on a couch at home. The only difference is the huge screen. No complains on sounds and the movie experience. Just that they have limited seats cause the reclining seats take a lot of space but I havent really had an issue with availability - I am not a weekend movie goer so I am not sure about Weekends. In addition the parking is FREE. Thats amazing that you have absolutely no overheads on top of the movie tickets. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. I rarely had a bad experience in these 4 years. They do have beer and snacks at the snack bar! I think it is way overpriced and if it comes down more people might have it. The 3D experience is also good here. But the holidays can get really crowded here more than the mall. read more

Tonight I was not pleased. My friends and I went to this theatre tonight, and was greeted with ignorance. Madeline-- bless her soul, was the only one who greeted us with respect. However, Grant?! Treated us with upmost disrespect. Davis was the security in charge, also greeted us with hostility . This is definitely my favorite theater in town. I always come here to watch movies. The few times that I don't, I regret it. This theater has nice reclining seats. It's always fast so I'm in and out of the theater quickly. The food there isn't horribly priced, but it isn't the cheapest either. I would suggest getting the popcorn since I could never finish a large popcorn by myself during the two to three hours that I spend at the theater. Another of my favorite things about this theater is the clean bathrooms. I would even dare say that this place feels like home. The workers are always nice when I get there as well. They greet me and help me purchase the ticket and get into the theater which is really all that I ask from the theater. The theater is also in a really good location in terms of food and stores. Great location to have a movie theatre. Just didn't enjoy the long walk from the parking lot to the movie theatre. Overall the front ticket stand employee were on their phone for the whole time I was looking over movie times and was attentive only when approached. Then the inside was a filthy mess with popcorn and trash all over the floor lobby. The movie itself couldn't go wrong and the seats were pretty comfy seeing as they must have been updated recently. Our go-to theater when I'm in town! Love the luxury recliners and seat reservation. We typically get tickets on Fandango prior to coming and getting in is always a breeze. Concessions are standard fare and we've never had to wait in line too long for snacks. The popcorn is always fresh and they have butter stations--though inexplicably no salt at the butter stations. I suppose they salt the popcorn beforehand but I like adding my own as well. I wish they had flavored salts or other toppings for the popcorn (some theaters have garlic salt, cheddar, sage salt, etc.). Their matinee pricing goes pretty late (4pm/5pm) and for the experience I was surprised how reasonable the prices are. Location is great and it's always nice to stroll around Perkins Rowe after a movie or find a bite to eat nearby. read more

I try my best to support the theaters during Covid but the reason that I won't support this theater anymore is that there happened to be a row of people in front of us and nobody would take care of them fooling around playing on their phones and talking like we are in there living room. The staff was told about this. The staff apparently was sent by management to tell the 6 people in front of us to be quiet. No one came. The whole 3 hour movie was them laughing and jumping from seat to seat and not watching the movie. At the end of the movie I took their picture to have Incase we got jumped outside the theatre. The 3 girls waited outside to yell at me taking their picture. I told them I took it to show the police because obviously they had no respect for anyone else then why would they not harass us for telling them to be quiet 20 times. Came out and this girl in the picture is yelling at me for taking her picture. I told her she and her friends were rude. Suddenly the manager shows up and tells them to leave. Lol. A little late. Then she goes on about how she sent someone. No one came. Then she double talks that they can't go and talk to them unless they catch them as it is their policy. I told her that she being the manager should have done something not send her 15 year old employees. I also told her that in these cases someone needs to walk the fricken theatre and that if I was them I would be really concerned about hooligans such as these. Because now I won't be back and will continue to watch in my living room. I give one star which should be 1/2 star because the manager did admit they should have done something and gave us a future use pass. Really I wanted cash and to be done with this theatre. The only thing they need to do is make sure people is sitting in there correct seat recently had a movie night with the kids and family bought tickets to the top row since it you can chose your seats the movie was about to start we get in the theater and the seats are taken really didn't want to make a fuss about it since there was kids involved but with amount of staff I seen there someone should of make sure the seats were correct and this isn't the first incident I've had with this one. I love this Cinemark. The chandelier in the lobby is absolutely gorgeous. I always have to give it an admiring glance as I walk underneath. There is a fountain area with benches and tables just outside that is lit up with beautiful lights at night. You can sit there with your date before or after the movie. The halls are covered with awesome movie posters from the classics. The seats are the most comfortable I've ever sat in and none of them are too close. It can get crowded during the weekend but what do you expect from such a beautiful area? Just get there a little early. The seats are so comfortable that you'll enjoy the wait. The temperature is never too cold or too warm, no matter the season. A definite date place! I highly recommend paying Cinemark a visit :) read more
