This theater is near my home and I have been going for years. Went last week to see "How to train your Dragon" with the kids. 1star: We like that you can choose your seats online . I go here with the Cincinnati Singles Group about every 2 months for over 2 years and often go there by myself or with some Friends. The place is always Clean, Friendly, and inviting. In over 2 years, I only had a complaint once of a group being too noisy. The manager took care of the situation, and gave me 2 tickets for any show, except for specials. Noone of our group, or any of my friends ever had anything bad to say about the place. Yes, when they have a very popular movie, even with several showing, there are the most popular times that the lines can get long. I really hope someone, anyone working the night of April 1st, 2026 sees this. I went to see The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (great movie, I think everyone should watch it!) tonight and I had misplaced my credit card (thankfully it wasn't stolen; I was just a careless dumbass). I noticed the card was missing after me and my folks went to eat at the Buffalo Wild Wings in that same parking lot right after, and I went back to the theater, where Brooklyn, the manager on duty, helped me look for it. We didn't end up finding it there; I ended up finding it at the Speedway I went to previously to get gas before I went to see the movie. I was scared shitless and Brooklyn was so helpful even though we didn't find it there. Brooklyn, if you stay at Cinemark, I hope you go far at the company! This theater is better than other ones. Some seats are becoming worn down and could use a replacement. This place could really use a deep clean. Lots of trash around the concession area and on the outside of the theater around the parking lot. Even one of the bathrooms was out of order. read more

This theatre is nearest my house so I have been going for years and watching is slowly age and degrade. The reclining seats are not well maintained. Some seats lean to one side or only partially recline. The bathrooms are functional but old and dated like the rest of the building. The worst are the other guests, which Cinemark admittedly doesn't have much control over. Basic respect for others is nonexistent. People talk loudly to each other throughout the movie, use their phones and/or generally make themselves a distraction that is challenging to ignore. Recently. one grown adult male was yelling out loud to the movie screen during certain scenes thinking that was somehow acceptable. It's a mediocre theatre with guests who have zero respect for anyone else. You've been warned! read more

Was there with my grandson and great-grandchildren. 's great seats clean theater. A very nice relaxing atmosphere.

Nothing like leaving your movie and having to walk through a group of 7/8 teenage boys fighting right in front of the exit. As soon as I turned back around and got my phone out to call the police they ran inside. No staff said or did anything except sell them tickets and send them to their theater. This is what is going to close this place down. I used to love coming here, but can't even risk getting out of a move here at 9pm. read more

Oh my goodness! This place is fantastic! I was able to buy my tickets online in advance. They had an earlier showtime than all the other theaters were offering, which was exactly what I needed! I really enjoyed the movie. It didn't hurt that their chairs are super comfy and recline all the way! After seeing the movie with my dad, I told my husband that we need to be doing more movie theater dates here because it was so relaxing! I'll be back soon! read more

Great recliner seats. And large popcorn gets a free refill. Picking seats is awesome although it does slow down the line to pay (minus one/half star). Help was quick and courteous at the snack bar and quick on the refill. Lobby was clean and so were bathrooms. Theatre itself needed some attention (half star). Some left over trash was missed in aisle. Sound and screen were excellent. Overall a safe clean Cinema worthy of any movie. read more

This place seemed nice. Big parking lot, grand lobby, and most of all nice recliners in the theater. I suppose a star was lost because the theater was not made for recliners so everything seemed very low and it made me miss stadium seating. However everything else went well. Friendly staff, nice but typical concessions stand (with alcohol), and clean restrooms. I would return for sure. read more

I pre-paid for tickets to a movie at this location. I my friends and I, all of whom are 20 years old, were met at the door immediately by an employee asking if we had purchased tickets. I told her I had, and she then asked for our IDs. One of the three of us had forgotten to bring an ID, because we were seeing a rated PG-13 movie. The other two showed her IDs, but she refused to let us in because one of us only had a college ID. She also refused to refund the tickets we had purchased. I am extremely upset with this business and will be seeking compensation for this situation and the tickets. Do not come here. I'm livid my nearly 17-yr old son was denied entry into Western Hills Cinemark while with his adult sister! Why? Singled out for #autism. My son with with his sister & her friends. Had a ticket, was calm, well behaved but pacing a bit quietly & making noises while waiting for entry. A Green Township PD officer pulled him out of line, booted him because of his autistic nuisances. My adult daughter, her adult boyfriend explained to the officer what was going on, she was his sister. They booted him anyway. I don't believe this reflects either Cinemark or Green Township PD as a whole. But it does reflect the need for consistent policies, recognizing someone with disabilities & handling the situation properly without singling them out or treating differently. You need some serious training & to ensure this NEVER happens again. read more

It's great to be able to enjoy movies in an actual movie theater again. Last month for my birthday my daughter and I went to see the newest Tom Hanks movie "News of the World." It is a post Civil War western about an ex confederate captain who travels from town to town in Texas sharing stories from the latest newspapers to the hard working families who are doing anything they can just to survive in the new south. A very personal & bigger responsibility is thrust upon during his travels. It was so good. Now let's get back to how much fun I had going to the #cinemarkwesternhills14 movie theater. My daughter purchased the tickets a head of time online while we were at the restaurant. The parking was quick and easy in their large parking lot. The entrance doors are on the right at the main front of the building with the ticket counter just straight a head. After we showed the employee the ticket receipt on the phone we were able to choose our seats. She directed us to screen #10 located down the hallway on the right. The restrooms are conveniently located just as you enter the hallway. The seating was so comfortable! I could tell that at least every other row of seats was removed. New wide comfortable lounge chairs with cup and snack holders were installed. There is plenty of room to walk in front of the seats to get in and out. Pushing a button on the right inside of the chair extends out the leg rests. We were able to enjoy all the expected movie previews. The sound system was clear and of course loud. It was so relaxing to just sit there and enjoy a great movie on the big screen. My daughter and I returned here to see "Chaos Walking" a syfy science fiction post apocalyptic action movie. I enjoy this theatre frequently with my wife. We saw Jerry Mcquire on our first date in 1997 and continue to enjoy movies at this location now. I feel like they have done some refreshing to the facility and seem to enjoy a decent crowd of patrons on a regular basis. I love when Cinemark shows classics. Alien is my favorite movie and my wife surprised me with tickets for my birthday. We also saw Exorcist over Halloween which was awesome. I hope the theater continues to serve the community as a place for entertainment in comfort with the luxury loungers post pandemic. read more

Average movie theater, the usual high prices for concessions $5.30 for a large drink etc. the seating is pretty comfortable, and you can see the screen in its entirety no matter where you sit. Where things go bad... cleanliness, and the fact that they keep it pretty warm in the movie theaters, which causes people to sweat. There was popcorn everywhere in the theater when I went. And the floors were quite sticky from spilt soda. As far as the bathrooms, they were cleaner than they used to be so there is some improvement. All and all, it is a pretty standard movie theater. read more

Usually I like this movie theater. But today I am unhappy. We came to a 7:25 showing of The Darkest Minds, we showed up at 7 pm. It was clearly on their website but they informed us it was no longer showing. They gave absolutely no explanation as to why they took it off. She gave us very vague details on why it was taken off even though we were already here buying tickets. We showed her proof on my phone of the listing time at 7:25 and then she gave us a bizarre look. She asked me if I was at the right movie theaters website, which I was because I've been coming since it opened. Then afterwards we walked away angry and noticed The Darkest Minds was taken off of the website completely. Here I am at 8:42 waiting for another movie to show. Btw they should show older movies too or other teen movies. For example the old Jumanji, She's the man, mean girls or bring it on. read more

People with their bare feet on the backs of seats [before the new seats were installed]. The new thing is people leaving trash in the cupholders. The new seating [plush recliner seats] are very nice but have found on the last 3 trips that they either don't work, or work little. As an example, last week I went and the seat reclined but didn't retract. So while the seats are nice it may be hit or miss on whether you get one that works. The reclining seats were really comfortable. Adults to kids, everyone enjoyed them. Seats are assiged at the time of ticket purchase. My husband thought he purchased seats two rows from the back. It turns out they were second row from the screen. That was far too close. It was hard to take in the entire screen at once. That being said. The aisles are clearly marked, and our seats were easy to find. Popular/ new movie can sell out fast. If you are worried about the film you want to see selling out, tickets may be purchased in advance online or at the box office. read more

Pros: Comfortable seats. Cons: Everything else. Yes you will be kicking back in comfort on a massive leather recliner... if you read through the other reviews that's all people talk about is the new seats. The problem is that the screen here is still outdated and small when compared to other theaters it looks like a bargain Danbarry size. The sound system here is pretty much garbage. Way too much bass and muffled not very crisp at all. Limited surround effect because again outdated tech. When compared to other theaters with more advanced tech (like an XD theater) it's a night and day difference. Also you have to buy your tickets in advance online (which of course includes a wonderful service charge for your convenience) or you will regret it. It turns out those huge leather seats take up a lot of real estate and as a consequence the shows get full VERY fast due to there being reduced AND assigned seating. If you try to walk up and buy tickets for a popular show in it's opening couple of weeks prepare for disappointment. Bottom line: I go to a movie to be blown away by the visual and sound experience not the feeling of a big leather recliner. So I'll skip the hassle and stick to Newport. read more

Went to see White Christmas on the big screen at Cinemark western hills and got swindled instead... waited a half hour was told technical difficulties then was told that they couldn't play the movie in that theater bc it wasnt equipped to play it and had "scheduling issues"... was offered a "free" pass to see another movie..... uh not free... I paid for the ticket for White Christmas and was not offered a refund and a free pass.... not going there for awhile. Hope you enjoyed stealing from about 35 people today Cinemark! read more

I hadn't been to this theatre in at least 10 years and I'm glad I gave it another try. When Newport AMC opened this location was view by many as the outdated theatre in town. When you first walk in it doesn't appear much, if anything, has changed about the place. The lobby area has only been minimally updated, but the theaters themselves are a thing of beauty... The seats in this theatre are the reason to go here. They have been updated to reclinable leather seats. Gone are the days of having to rub elbows with strangers and shuffle sideways to the bathroom. The seats are big enough that you have plenty of space and far enough apart that even if people are reclined you can easily exit. This theatre runs all the first run showings and has great time options. TIP: buy your tickets ahead of time and pick your seats out online. After our first visit my fiancé and I declared all other movie theaters were ruined forever. read more

This location has gone through quite a few changes throughout my life on the Westside - the current owners are doing an amazing job. On Tuesdays, you can see a movie for only $5.50. On weekends, everyone pays the standard $10. Some theaters have those electric-powered lazy boy style chairs ; the theater is more intimate and they are really comfy. With the Danbarry gone, this is the closest place to see a movie without heading to Newport, KY. Plenty of parking as well! read more

It's better than it use to be a few years ago but could still use some work. The seats are very comfortable and spacious. I really hope with the new Kroger Marketplace being built next door that this place will continue to be remodeled and become what it use to be when it first opened. I have seen some of the pics (like the guy with his shoes off and feet on the back of seats) that's just nasty and messed up. I want to say (well this is on the Westside so what do you expect) there I said it.. Terrible it's dirty filthy the concessions are sold at full price but it doesn't look like a full price theater half of it's covered by a tarp. The screen is 30 feet above your head so bring Advil the staff couldn't care less about anything. I was with another couple on a double date she says let's go to the good theater I never in a million years would have thought she was that stupid to think this is luxury they never heard of stadium seating. The reclining seats are nice, however the theater has an assigned seat policy and it's honestly the biggest pain the ass. Our seats were taken when we arrived by an elderly couple, so we decided not to bother them and take other seats. The owners of the seats arrived and asked us to move, even with plenty of others still available. We didn't want to be difficult so we moved. A little while later, the owners of the new seats arrived and decided to make a scene with the employees and security guard to ask us to leave. All which could have been avoided getting rid of a pointless assigned seating system. Will not be returning. read more
