It's pretty awesome to have a theatre company located in the heart of Newport. It hints at the essence of the city which was built on Vaudevillian entertainment and not the Levee complex. I've seen a few plays here, most recently, "Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical." I'll watch anything that's a musical; the more absurd the plot, the better. The actors really went above and beyond for this play over past shows, with choreographed dance routines, tap dancing, and tastefully hilarious dialogue. The Falcon Theatre sells beer and snacks in the lobby, and lets you eat during the show: a total change from traditional theatre. If you're new to the scene, this is definitely the place to start with its relaxed atmosphere. Inside, you'll find eight rows of seats with five seats per row, the first row being about 10 feet from the stage. This is intimate, community theatre at its finest; exactly what I'd expect in Newport. New content is regularly presented throughout the year, including "It's A Wonderful Life" presented as a radio drama, taking you back to the set of this 1940s classic. I'll be heading back to see it this winter. If you're looking for a fun night out on the town, without the stuffiness of regular theatre, check out Falcon! Price per person: $18.00

Excellent production of Hound of Baskerville. I always enjoy every performance. This little theater has all the perks. Never a bad seat in the house. Clean and tidy. Parking is amazingly easy with plenty of on street parking on both sides of the street, also public parking half a block down. They have coffee and a few snacks and you can use your credit card. I think the cookies are homemade if I'm not mistaken. I look forward to our next visit.

I attended Yelp's preview at the Falcon of Debbie Does Dallas (highly recommend!) I love these small intimate theaters.

Four course meal was good but chicken, rice, and vegetables was about cold when arrived at table. Chefs appetizer was fried corndogs and they ran out at serving table. Couldve brought out another tray for amount of people attending. Also not enough rolls for amount people at our table. Salad was simple and food portions small for price u pay. Actually brought out good size piece carrot cake for dessert. Show experience not as good as 1st time some years back. Show cast just seemed to kinda wing it. Main detectives forgot to introduce themselves in beginning. I mean for sort of d oing the same show for some time, shouldve been more routine. Just an ok night for amount u had to pay.

I just sat back and watched the live actors do their thing. You truly have no idea what's going to happen next. They change up the show every two to three months to keep thing's different. Hosted at the Embassy Suits in Covington it was a nice setting overlooking the Cincy riverfront. The food was like wedding food, not the best but not the worst. Easy to get to and free parking across the street. Dinner Detective is definitely worth doing.

They offer themed merchandise tied to each production, which is such a fun touch for fans. There are also plenty of concessions available, including snacks and alcoholic beverages. I had a glass of wine (a double pour, and surprisingly affordable), along with popcorn and chocolate-covered raisins. The popcorn wasn't the freshest, but it was still yummy. The venue feels very safe, with bag checks and scanners at the entrance. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. The theater itself has excellent acoustics and a large stage. There is always something exciting on the schedule, and ticket prices are usually reasonable. It's a great option for a family outing, date night, girls' night, or even a solo treat. Doors open about an hour before showtime, with access to the theater seating available 30 minutes prior.

I'm happy to see that it has been kept up so well over the years, it's beautiful! It was an A+ visit from start to finish. We have a fantastic arts center in Dayton that we have broadway season's tickets to and attend other performing arts shows as well, but we will definitely be back to see shows at the Aronoff from time to time now that we had such a fantastic evening out!
