Throughout the entire process, Chris went above and beyond what I even expected from a wedding photographer and repeatedly demonstrated his investment in capturing our "story" as a couple. Chris, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did for us - we love the photos you took and have received so many compliments on them from the family and friends we have shared them with. To anyone considering Chris as their wedding photographer, I'd like to share the following anecdotes with you. This is an incredibly long review because there were so many instances where Chris demonstrated his passion for his work and for making his clients happy: Planning: - During our initial meeting, he arranged for us to meet at our reception venue so he could get a 'feel' of the environment and hear all about our day - The ceremony/mass and reception were at different locations, and Chris took time on a Friday to meet me at the chapel where the ceremony would take place so he could scope out different spots for pictures.(Note: This was done early on - about 6 months before the wedding was even set to take place) - Chris was incredibly receptive to what we wanted captured and we ended up with shots of all the special moments throughout the day Engagement Photos: - We wanted to do a downtown shoot, as well as take some photos at a restaurant that had special meaning to us as a couple. Chris not only has good knowledge of downtown Houston, but he also contacted the restaurant and got special permission for us to take photos there during the engagement session. - On the day of the session, Chris was really prepared and had the itinerary down, took care of parking and all the logistics, which allowed us to just have fun. Bridal Photos: - For my bridal session, I wanted to take advantage of bluebonnet season here in Texas. This year was not a great year for bluebonnet bloomings/sightings, but as soon as I relayed this to Chris, he was committed to making it happen it for me. While I spent most of the early part of the day getting my hair and makeup done for the portraits, Chris drove out to the hill country way ahead of me and my mom so that he could scope out the best spots for the flowers. Wedding Day: - On the night before the wedding, Chris came to our rehearsal at the chapel to familiarize himself again with the setup and also understand any rules about where he could/could not stand to take pictures during the mass. He also got to meet some of our guests at the rehearsal dinner, which was great as it made everyone more comfortable the next day. - On the day of the wedding, Chris was there pretty much from the moment I started getting ready until the very last song at the reception. He captured everything from the details, to the getting ready, to the ride over to the chapel from the hotel, to formal portraits, to fun pictures - he even stole us away for a few minutes during the reception and captured some really beautiful pictures outside once darkness had fallen. Chris will go above and beyond for his clients - Chris, if you are reading this, we cannot thank you enough, for everything you did for us during the entire year leading up to our wedding and we would love to have another chance to work with you!

We hired Chris for $6K to do our photos, video, and to make us 4 parent photo albums. We paid Chris in full up front, which was mistake number one. We loved his work and didn't want to have to worry about payment in the future. It has been 10 months since our wedding and we still have not received our photo albums or our video - which we paid thousands of dollars for. For the longest time, every time we'd ask Chris about it, he would go months without giving us a response. It has taken so much effort to even get some sort of a response from Chris, and when he does respond, he lies. He lies by assuring us that he will get us what we're owed, even making deadlines, and *shocker* he's a liar. I personally know that he owes thousands of dollars to his videographer for unpaid jobs, and I know of countless other bridges and grooms in our same duration. He's continuing to take money from unsuspecting brides and grooms, only to screw them later on. I did my own research before settling with Brent and I was really impressed with his prices. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a wedding video, figuring I wouldn't watch a full-length film reliving the day, but I definitely wanted someone to capture it and didn't want to bother my family to do so. He was great during my friend's wedding, staking out spots unobstrusively as possible. For our first meeting, he met me in Midtown with an associate and they were professional and nice and answered all my random questions from my internet wedding planning guide. To retain his services, you paid a small deposit up front and the balance is due at the completion of the video. From there on out, we communicated over email and he was very easy-going. I sent him my bridal party packet with a schedule of events, and he was just, don't worry, we'll just be following you around. For the ceremony, 2 people videotape and the groom is miked. For the reception, Brent was by himself. He was always set up and ready to capture the next official moment in the reception. I think his prices have gone up this year, but he is probably still one of the most affordable wedding videographers. He was great to work with and I would highly recommend him. I had something in mind (bluebonnet field), but they really rolled with the idea and found us the perfect location! What I like most about Jared and Paul is their enthusiasm to take the best possible pictures all while making sure the client was also having an enjoyable time (which we did!) We spent the entire afternoon with them, finding new locations to shoot. We weren't locked into any particular spot, which we were really appreciative of. While they clarified with us that they had only recently begun their photography business together, their photos proved they had a true talent for this and in no way did we feel like we were with amateurs. Megan Allison of Silver Arrow Photography served as our wedding videographer for our November 2014…read morewedding at The Crystal Ballroom at The Rice. We managed to snag her last minute, and got a really, really great deal on pricing. We had a tough time finding a videographer who was willing to provide us raw footage for us to have to watch over the years beyond just a quick 3 minute video or interviews-- let alone one who would do that within our budget. We almost bought a video camera and got a cousin to do it, but luckily we stumbled upon Silver Arrow Photography and got both raw footage and a stunning 5 minute edited video to one of our favorite romantic songs. We hired them for 4.5 hours-- just enough for the 30 minute ceremony and 4 hour reception, but she showed up early and captured some getting-ready moments that turned out to be really special on film. The resolution is super high quality and the video looks bright even on the dim dance floor with rose colored uplights. They uploaded it to Dropbox for us to download our highlight video 4 weeks from the day we got married, and our full raw footage was available about a week after that. Of all of our vendors for our wedding, I was most impressed by Silver Arrow Photography. I can't recommend them enough... it almost makes me want to get married again! (To the same guy, of course.)
