Chris Curry was our photographer at our wedding 5 weeks ago and we could not be more happy that we chose him to capture the memories from our special day. Throughout the entire process, Chris went above and beyond what I even expected from a wedding photographer and repeatedly demonstrated his investment in capturing our "story" as a couple. Chris, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did for us - we love the photos you took and have received so many compliments on them from the family and friends we have shared them with. To anyone considering Chris as their wedding photographer, I'd like to share the following anecdotes with you. This is an incredibly long review because there were so many instances where Chris demonstrated his passion for his work and for making his clients happy: Planning: - During our initial meeting, he arranged for us to meet at our reception venue so he could get a 'feel' of the environment and hear all about our day - The ceremony/mass and reception were at different locations, and Chris took time on a Friday to meet me at the chapel where the ceremony would take place so he could scope out different spots for pictures.(Note: This was done early on - about 6 months before the wedding was even set to take place) - Chris was incredibly receptive to what we wanted captured and we ended up with shots of all the special moments throughout the day Engagement Photos: - We wanted to do a downtown shoot, as well as take some photos at a restaurant that had special meaning to us as a couple. Chris not only has good knowledge of downtown Houston, but he also contacted the restaurant and got special permission for us to take photos there during the engagement session. - On the day of the session, Chris was really prepared and had the itinerary down, took care of parking and all the logistics, which allowed us to just have fun. Bridal Photos: - For my bridal session, I wanted to take advantage of bluebonnet season here in Texas. This year was not a great year for bluebonnet bloomings/sightings, but as soon as I relayed this to Chris, he was committed to making it happen it for me. While I spent most of the early part of the day getting my hair and makeup done for the portraits, Chris drove out to the hill country way ahead of me and my mom so that he could scope out the best spots for the flowers. Wedding Day: - On the night before the wedding, Chris came to our rehearsal at the chapel to familiarize himself again with the setup and also understand any rules about where he could/could not stand to take pictures during the mass. He also got to meet some of our guests at the rehearsal dinner, which was great as it made everyone more comfortable the next day. - On the day of the wedding, Chris was there pretty much from the moment I started getting ready until the very last song at the reception. He captured everything from the details, to the getting ready, to the ride over to the chapel from the hotel, to formal portraits, to fun pictures - he even stole us away for a few minutes during the reception and captured some really beautiful pictures outside once darkness had fallen. CHRIS CURRY IS A THIEF! HE WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! DO NOT LET HIM DECEIVE YOU!!! DO NOT HIRE HIM!! My wife and I got married on 11/1/2025. We hired Chris for $6K to do our photos, video, and to make us 4 parent photo albums. We paid Chris in full up front, which was mistake number one. We loved his work and didn't want to have to worry about payment in the future. It has been 10 months since our wedding and we still have not received our photo albums or our video - which we paid thousands of dollars for. For the longest time, every time we'd ask Chris about it, he would go months without giving us a response. It has taken so much effort to even get some sort of a response from Chris, and when he does respond, he lies. He lies by assuring us that he will get us what we're owed, even making deadlines, and *shocker* he's a liar. I personally know that he owes thousands of dollars to his videographer for unpaid jobs, and I know of countless other bridges and grooms in our same duration. He's continuing to take money from unsuspecting brides and grooms, only to screw them later on. Ruined my once in a lifetime experience. I deeply regret booking. Finally got my video 9 months later after spamming his messages and threatening to sue. Oh and here's the kicker... my video footage sucks, wasn't edited, and most of it doesn't have sound. Idk why I got some random guy instead of who was on the contract. The photos... I barely have any with my husband during cocktail hour and there's some stuff I feel like he could've told us to fix like a groomsmen tie coming out or someone fixing their hair. All the pics are so formal which is just Chris's style I guess but I would have loved more romantic/dreamy/silly photos. Also I wanted to take single pics in the morning with my bridesmaids/mom/sisters outside and vise versa for my husbands wedding party when everyone was just chilling and had nothing to do but Chris said no for some reason.... Oh also guess what, I was promised some reimbursement but of course he ghosted again. Theres so much more I can say but im done spending time on this. It saddens me to leave this review. I do not recommend hiring Chris, despite his pretty photos. My husband met Chris at a bridal extravaganza and loved his photos. We paid for photos, a video, photo albums for us and our parents (4 total), and unfortunately have only received the photos via a link. He ghosts us completely when we follow up. He has mismanaged his finances and cannot afford to produce the video, failing to pay his videographer, and cannot afford to produce the photo albums - despite the fact that we paid in full up front. It has been 10 months since our wedding. He makes excuses and promises a deliverable date, only to ghost when that day comes. We have been deceived completely by thinking he was reputable, when ultimately, it appears he is just a thief. If you read recent reviews, we are not the only ones going through this. Multiple brides have been deceived. Save your money and the stress and go elsewhere. read more

If I could give 0 stars, shoot, negative stars to bring down his "high rating" you betcha I would!! This has been a nightmare experience. Let's get to the point real quick-- DO NOT GO WITH CHRIS!!! Run away, far far away. 1. He lies, lies, lies. 2. The only thing I received in my contract was photos - photos with white dots in over 50. Poor attn to detail. 3. Unprofessional as hell PLEASE READ!! 1. Never received Drone footage 2. Never received the videographer that was in the contract 3. Never received the second photographer 4. Never received All day footage - he showed up late and my wedding started 45 mins late... I had people not attend my ceremony due to their backs hurting 5. Never received my video 6. Never received my canvas 7. Never received reimbursement for the food payment I paid for the 2nd photographer who did not show up 8. Never received my album ADDITIONAL: 1. Begged us to read our vows outloud (then left the recorder on my husband during the ceremony-- UGLY FOR PHOTOS! 2. Never called me prior to the wedding 3. The father first look was done without him there so we had to redo it, poor communication. 4. Asked my coordinator if we could do a fake exist so they could leave 5. Told me Jan, March, April he'd have my stuff to me -- all lies. 6. The videographer (which I paid for through My contract with Chris I am NOW HAVING TO PAY 1K TO JUST IN ORDER FOR ME TO GET MY RAW VIDEO FROM THE DAY... ) 7. Told me he'd mail me my check for $70 the day he called me and explained he's been having financial issues, yet I have not received it. DO NOT FALL FOR HIS NICE WORK!!!!! Also, I got married 12.22.25. He has photos of us from the Farmhouse on his site. He is all about himself and his $ and not providing what is stated in the contract. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND YOUR SANITY DO NOT CHOOSE CHRIS!!! I told him I was leaving this review until I had proof he is working on my deliverables. I would go through all my pictures of the white blobs / screenshots / recorded phone calls as proof, I'm just drained from this guy and not giving him one more minute of my time until I see proof. We recently worked with Chris for an engagement photo shoot and had a great time. I'll admit as the groom, I was nervous about how to stand, what to do with my hands, and other nerve wracking concerns. Chris' calm demeanor and optimistic approach made that all go away and led to what ended up being a fun shoot. He gave some advice on how to stand and what to do, which then gave way to natural poses and interactions that came out beautiful in the photos. We received our pictures within a week and were very happy with the results. We look forward to working with Chris again as the bride and I reach other milestones that call for a photographer. read more

I want to start by saying this review is long overdue because I try to give people grace and really don't like leaving negative reviews. However, I feel I need to get our experience with Chris Curry Photography off my chest to be able to move on. Chris was the first vendor we hired for our wedding which ended up being a learning experience for us. We had a destination beach wedding so was not from the area we got married. Our venue offered a list of vendors they commonly work with and Chris was highly recommended for photography. Because of that, we jumped at the opportunity to hire him without doing a lot of our own research. In our minds, we liked that he had photographed many weddings at our venue, that he was familiar with the layout and knew the cool shots to get. Our first mistake and learning experience was paying him a deposit without getting a contract first. Fast forward to March 2020 when covid hits and we have to make the decision to postpone our May 2020 wedding. We go through the process of having to contact all our vendors and the only person who hadn't either contacted us first or we couldn't get a hold of, was Chris. After several failed attempts, we decided to contact the manager at our venue to see if they have heard from Chris and we were told we weren't the only couple trying to get a hold of him, so they will see what they can do. As I stated earlier, I try to give people grace. The world was a scary place during that time but, just like many other couples we had a lot of money already invested at that point so was in a slight panic of trying to get everything figured out. He finally gets back to us shortly after we had contacted the venue about the situation and we got everything worked out for our new wedding date a year out, May 2021. With all our other vendors we had to have updated contracts so we asked Chris to also send us an updated contract (even though we never got one in the first place). He said he would send one but again we never received one after several attempts of contacting him about it. Giving me the fear that we have paid him but he may not even show up to our wedding with the lack of communication we had been experiencing so far with him. Thankfully, in the end, he did show up. As for the wedding day, I couldn't help but feel like he was annoyed to be there. I especially felt it during the family photo part after the ceremony. Prior to our wedding day, I had offered to send him a list of family members names grouped together to make sure we got the groupings we wanted and to make the process easier since I have divorced parents. He said it wasn't necessary and I reminded myself that he does this all the time so I should trust him. He was getting impatient with my grandparents, which rubbed me the wrong way as well, since I was very grateful to be able to have them all travel in given the circumstances with covid. Overall, he just came off irritated and impatient to me throughout the day. Which, I feel no matter how many weddings you work throughout the year, it is that couples first time and that vibe shouldn't be put off towards the couple and their family. We received our photos and there were some good shots and many not so good ones but what I wasn't happy with is in several photos there were editing issues that were missed. Blurs over peoples faces or random eyeballs floating in background above peoples heads in group shots. We of course reach out to Chris to see if those photos could be fixed, but once again have to keep following up with him. After three attempts throughout July and August 2021, he responds saying he has been buried with work and some family matters he's wrapping up that week and once those are over he will put his full attention to the photos and see what can be done. Understandable, so I give him some time but never hear from him. I contact him again three times throughout November/December 2021 and nothing. I decided to give up but then thought I should attempt it one last time and contacted him twice in April 2022, which is almost a year from when our wedding took place and still nothing to this day. Also, not that this is the biggest deal out of all of this, but to top it off, he also spelled my name wrong in the downloadable link to our photos. Again, not a big deal but just shows his attention to detail. Basically this long winded, overdue review is to say I would not recommend Chris Curry Photography to any future couples looking for wedding photography. I know working with brides is probably not always the best experience for vendors but it doesn't help when there is a lack of communication from the vendor himself. read more

For sure a 5 star photographer! If you like adventure then Chris Curry is the photographer for you! I talked with Chris several weeks before we decided on a date to shoot and he was extremely informative of location, time and what to expect. Plus he was quick to answer any and all of my 101 questions. The day of the shoot, he was there on time and ready to go! We were shooting on a rooftop and I didn't let him know i was afraid of heghts. Once we got up there he let me take a moment and get comfortable with my surroundings. He was super patient and helpful. The shoot was so much fun time just flied by! He actually even had some images available for me the same night! They were absolutely gorgeous. The editing was perfect and not over done. My pics looked like me but a more fabulous me lol. I can't wait to shoot with Chris again and i highly suggest anyone and everyone to work with him as well. read more

Honestly...I'm not much of a review person, but in this particular instance I feel compelled to let people know...if you're looking for an amazing wedding photographer...Chris Curry is the man! I'm a recent bride (April 2015) and having dealt with lots of vendors less than 3 months ago, I'll be honest....once you say wedding the price of everything shoots up through the roof (especially for pictures). As a matter of fact, most photographers will charge you quite a bit of dough and you almost never get prints out of the deal without spending a ton of extra money. With Chris, we got 2 photographers for the entire day (wonderful pre-ceremony shots.), unlimited shots for the day and he edited every single one plus, we got three gorgeous leather bound books (1- huge book with plexi-glass for the covering for us and two smaller versions that are all leather for our parents). He was a wonderful vendor, super chilled, very polite, an amazing artistic eye and reasonably priced. People LOVE our photos and we love them even more. I was a very non-traditional bride who did NOT want a first dance. He talked me into one at least for the sake of the pictures...best thing that could've happened! Honestly. We've referred others to him and I would totally recommend him. You'll get high quality work, not break the bank and he's done this so much it actually eases your mind as you're going through the wedding planning process. Happy planning future couples! read more
