Really enjoyed my first VIP movie experience. As someone who doesn't go to the movies often, having the option to eat dinner at the same time was quite the novelty and I will definitely be back for more. We had the beyond meat burger with a salad, bacon cheeseburger with poutine, and nachos to share. The food was on par with a bar like Moxie's or Jack Astor's and the prices were very reasonable (about $20 for most entrees). This is especially considering a popcorn, candy, and drink cost $20. The seats were comfortable and wide, and paired off so there's a fair bit of space between each pair for privacy. I think rows D-F are all pretty good views from the screen. I hear some some other locations have even better setups but we were happy with everything. Service was really attentive and efficient. The movie was good, too.

This was my first time watching a film in 4DX . It was such a fun and amazing experience. I highly recommend trying it. From the lights, seats shaking and water splashing - you are in for a total treat. I'd love to watch more films in 4DX! Super sad that not all theatres offer it - but making the trip downtown to Dundas Square is worth it though.

Really love this cineplex. It's in such a great spot, in the heart of downtown. The only downside is, it's quite confusing to exit the theatre because you have to take so many escalators to get up!

This Cineplex is located in a great area being right in the middle of dundas square and after a day of shopping or walking around holding bags , it's a great excuse to put your feet up. With many decent eateries located near it, it definitely is one of the favourites for cinema goers as well. The seats are comfortable and spacious, and I was very impressed with how clean the cinema was generally. There's a decent snack offering if you manage to get past the huge queues and the bathrooms are clean as well. It does get very busy the moment you exit the theatre in terms of getting out of the building so I do suggest hanging around for a bit until it clears as no one wants to be standing in a packed elevator or escalator (And I couldn't find the stairs!!)

I saw MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE DEAD RECKONING- PART ONE. It was almost 3 hours. Maybe they need to start to have intermissions for movie that's longer than 2 hours, otherwise when I go to the washroom I would miss some parts of the movie. We had to wait for a while to get to even order from the concession stand. The movie start time was at 6:50, so probably prime time which means they really should have more employees working at the concession or maybe have a quick line for popcorn. I do like the faux leather seats though instead of the fabric before. Easier to clean and also did not make me itchy sitting on the chair for the duration. Usually my butt would be sore by the end but this time the seat was actually comfy. Will definitely come again to this location.

This ain't a bad theatre. It's in the heart of downtown, very accessible and it's a pretty big theatre. Though there's a few things I'd take off points for: 1) The chairs sit very upright and don't recline as far back as those in other theatres, making for a pretty uncomfortable experience. 2) When selecting a movie, they show you movies that haven't even released yet which is confusing. 3) Wine is $12. That is all. 4) Bathrooms aren't always the cleanest here.

Visit June 1 2019.. I miss going to the movies! And I can't believe that it's been that long since I went to this location. LA' GASP! It's amazing how time flies. Now let's get to the main reason why you are here. Food/drinks: 5/5 The popcorn shrimp, chocolate lava dessert, and the fish bowl drink (can't remember what I had, probably because I had to much to eat and drink...jks). Oooh! The churros too. These are what I recommend trying when you do go there...probably next year due to the whole "you know what" pandemic. Customer Service: 5/5 The servers were friendly, made sure our orders were on point and checked back to see if everything was good. I truly felt like a VIP hehehee. Parking: 4/5 it's Downtown Toronto, so parking is either full or expensive. Save yourself the hassle and take the bus/train. Cleanliness: 4/5 May be I'm just nit picking at this point but...the garbage was full and you couldn't fit anything after the movie was over. Bonus point: I watched Aladdin 5/5. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back...probably next year. Hope you enjoyed reading my review. It's been a while but I'mmmmmmm backkkkk....I hope, I think...naa I'm sure :-D

It was my first time watching a movie here. I bought VIP tickets to see Shang-Chi at 7:15pm on a Sunday night. $23/ticket. I had no idea what VIP meant. Tickets were self-purchased at the kiosks. Several were not in service and it wasn't due to social distancing. There is a separate VIP section and you have to be 19+ to go in because they serve alcohol. I was disappointed to find out the cushion seats were not reclining or had any foot rest. It's not like our AMC or Century theatres back in the States. I like that you can order food and drinks from your seat before the movie starts. There were 2 servers there to take your order. We settled on a tropical sangria which was served in glassware. The drink had barely any alcohol in it.

This Cineplex Odeon is conveniently located right at Dundas Station with connection to The Path! This is especially awesome during winter as I don't need to brave the winter cold to get here by TTC! Multi floors and I can see how it can be busy when everyone wants to leave at the same time after a show. I think I will be coming back again for their VIP experience!

I don't have a lot of experience in larger theaters such as this. In my hometown, theaters were the destination place. Here, the theater is in the center of a destination place. With that being said, the location of this theater is amazing!!! You can do your shopping across the street, eat dinner outside the theater then catch a movie 10 feet away!! Guys, take your girl out for a date night at this all in one.

My husband and I were in town for Labor Day weekend, and we were excited to go see Shang Chi. Cineplex was showing the movie, so we got tickets in the self serve machines. Honestly, I expected more from this theatre simply because it's in Dundas Square, and the seats weren't even luxury reclining. It felt like an auditorium theatre. We did the general admission because I couldn't find good seats and a reasonable time. We ended up sitting in the far right which isn't my favorite place to sit in a theatre, not sure if some of the seats were blocked off due to covid or if it was just busy. We were in auditorium 24, seats BB 4 and 5, row BB is the second row at the very front. We enjoyed the movie and the popcorn was reasonably fresh and good, but the seats could be better especially if some of the movie tickets were at least $20+. I don't see how it's a VIP area either. If you don't care for comfort and just want to see the movie, this is the place to be.

Never had a problem at box office here. (fast) Their VIP lounge area is on the smaller side. (cosy) Only 3 stars because it really needs an outtakes so patrons aren't forced to sneak in grub from the food court. (lacks options)

Time for an update for this theater. I can't praise Cineplex enough for the VIP theater approach they have taken here. Assigned lush seating check, food and drinks (including booze) served to your seat check, no one under 19 kicking your seat check and check. The front row seats actually recline all the way back. There is quite a bit of up charge for the VIP theaters but its worth IMO if you are movie luver and want to see it in a comfortable fashion. There is bit more oomph in the sound systems at IMAX and Ultra AVX and screen size is a lot bigger but if I have a choice I would rather watch a movie that's not shot in IMAX cameras here. The beer and wine selection is OK and I even saw people drinking a whole bottle of wine by themselves! Good for night out if bars and clubs are not your scene I suppose.

We had planned to watch Fantastic Four during the last show and booked two special-needs seats online. Parking downtown already costs more than the tickets for two, but we were looking forward to a relaxing evening. About twenty minutes into the film, a staff member approached us to explain that one of the "seats" we had booked was not actually a chair at all, but the space reserved for a wheelchair. This crucial detail was never made clear on the booking site. Unlike other accessible venues--such as the TTC or most theatres--that allow guests to choose between using their own wheelchair or a provided seat, this cinema offered no alternative except an awkward mid-show refund. The situation was uncomfortable and completely ruined our night out. Although the management responded publicly on Google in a caring and professional tone, two follow-up emails since then have gone unanswered. I hope Imagine Cinemas takes accessibility concerns seriously and improves both its booking transparency and customer follow-up.

My first official screening at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival happened at Scotiabank Theatre. One of five venues used to showcase films during the festival, this multiplex housed the majority of all screenings among its 14 auditoriums with an approximate seating capacity range from 100-500. Formerly the Paramount Theatre Toronto, this complex opened in 1999 but was sold by the parent company Viacom to a group later to be named Cineplex Entertainment in 2005. The result was a rebranding of the name to Scotiabank Theatre Toronto under a sponsorship arrangement with Scotiabank. Would I scoot my way to the bank after the many films watched here!? Otherwise, there were spots along the many main and surrounding streets, some nearby structures, numerous public transportation options, and rideshares - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Generally speaking, this was your standard multiplex theatre filled with cushy cup holding reclining seats, very good sound system, and auditorium seating so no one blocked your view. OVERALL I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent at Scotiabank Theatre and would definitely visit them again! Everything ran smoothly enough, there weren't any real hassles, the concession prices were standard with a more broad list of things to eat while the ticket prices were elevated as was the norm for a film festival. The customer service was easy, friendly, and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $51.50CAD BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... We had no problems finding the studio, which is on Front Street West. We presented out tickets and were let in. Staff were super helpful pointing us to where we were seated. And I had never been to the Glenn Gould Studio either, and I was looking forward to that as well, being a fan of the namesake, as a fan of Canadianna in general. I was envisioning the show was in a large lobby, as a casual affair where the public could wander in and out, sipping their free hot chocolate. But no, this is on Eventbrite for tickets, which are free, but in limited supply, and a seated performance in a beautiful concert theatre, perfect! It's located on Front street and was easy to find as I walked east from Spadina on Front and watched for the big 250 sign, which is the address. Out front is a bench sculpture, with Glenn Gould sitting on the bench. The interior design of the galley lobby is striking with nice indirect lighting and items and images dedicated to one of the most famous and celebrated pianists of the 20th century, Glenn Gould. Love the music staff and notation motif wrapped around the concrete support poles, very cool. And they have one of GG's original pianos there on display, although the barrier in front of it appeared to be hanging down, without being able to keep the public away, which was disrespectful to something with obvious historical value. Inside the theatre the enchanting Christmas scene was breathtaking! There was a smoke machine adding some haze and atmosphere, and Christmas Poinsettias lined the complete stage creating a beautiful red base embellishing the scene wonderfully. Giant sparkling-bright snow-flake icons adorned the backdrop. The chairs were very comfortable! There was no lobby service with the typical glass of wine or other drinks at this morning show, which started at 5:30 am and ended at 8:30 am, so there wasn't a reason to get out of our seats, aside from using the washroom. There was a small break on the hour when the news was on, instead of commentary, provided by the inimitable Ismaila Alfa, or the glorious music with the live performances by various artists, so I got up and walked to the lobby and back to my seat. In spite of that I ended up staying for the entire 3 hours, thoroughly enjoying the entire show, even though I thought I would likely leave at one of the breaks, not a chance with that sound, omg such beautiful acoustics in there, along with obviously quality audio gear that I felt Aqyila (yes that Aqyila Vibe for Me (Bob for Me) (or was it maybe an angel lol) was crooning into my ear on the couch beside me singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" absolutely an unforgettable experience that will remain with me forever.
