This is my favourite location always because it's always clean and great atmosphere and great staff and always ask me if I need help and when you walk in you can book your on ticket by yourself at the machine or with a staff member and they have a game area for kid the all kinds of food and make sure you are a cineplex card member so you collect points and great deals and download the apps , faster and better and they have great deals on popcorn and drink with combo 1-5 and it's great to let your kids go have fun and good for group gathering. When you have points over 1000 you can redeem them for a free movie so make sure you stop by your nearest Cineplex location and have fun!!!!!! read more

It's a bit of a trip for me but I like my movies big, and of you want to see a first run film in proper IMAX, this is the best place to do it. THey have all the standard upper tier theatre stuff, with an Outtakes food area, an arcade, and a bunch of theatres. I don't come for any of those, I come for the big screen, big sound. I like this theatre although it is showing its age. Lots of screens as well as IMAX and UltraAVX. I always choose the latter, as I find the audio better in the AVX over IMAX. I really like the reserved seats of the AVX too. A good sized room off to the side full of arcade and fun games. This theatre does the TimePlay game before the movie so make sure you're connected to the TimePlay WiFi and have the app downloaded well before it starts. I like how they scan your ticket before ever getting into the screen or even concessions. Then you never have to worry about pulling it out again. The popcorn and soda at the concessions is perfect each time, and the staff are friendly. Lots of parking outside too! read more

It is pretty nice since I have been here a few times. The people who are working there are friendly since they will give you directions to where your theater is and they are serving you food. There are many seats and many food places. I would suggest anyone to going in the earlier hours because there not many people watching and you can have the whole row to yourself. read more

Today, Saturday August 17, it rained. But not just a normal rain. It rained like an amazonian monsoon for several hours in the afternoon. I live in Mississauga, on the Etobicoke border. I had 4 tickets to see Inside Out 2, at the Junction cinemas, in Erin Mills Mall at 3:20pm. I could not make it because my basement got flooded and I had to take care of that, as it was happening. It is 8:12pm now as I write this review and I still haven't finished cleaning up the flood. I also did not know about cancelling before the showing to get a refund. When I called 30 minutes ago, Cineplex advised that it was too late for me to get a refund because I did not call before the showing of the movie. I explained to the agent (Tracy) that I did not know about this, and I was also busy dealing with the flood to do anything else, let alone call Cineplex and wait on the phone for an agent to take my call, while water was pouring in. Tracy managed to do a one-time exception full refund for me, for my troubles. I really appreciate what Tracy did and for going above and beyond to satisfy me under these circumstances. I did spend over 60$ for these tickets. Now, I am ready to plan my outing once more. Thank you Tracy and thank you Cineplex for a job well done! Dany read more

I've come to this location a couple of times now for a girls night and I've always had a good experience. The theatre itself is a little small but still very clean. I've never had a difficulty finding parking at this location either. This theatre also has a lot of auto purchase kiosks. They have 2 concessions stands, one for regular popcorn and nachos, and the other for meal type items like hotdogs, pizza, fires and poutines. Pro Tip: It's always a good idea to buy your tickets online ahead of time to avoid disappointment, if you have a SCENE card, you actually earn even more points if you buy your tickets on your phone! read more

I have been coming here for years but upon my recent visit I noticed things had changed. There were several kiosks on the left and only one line to purchase tix from an actual person. The kiosks said they took vouchers but hubby tried several times with no luck. We ended up having to go to the person. There is now one entrance before you get to the concessions and then you go to your theatre. Previously, you could enter the concession area but then you had to show your ticket to enter any theatre area. There are only washrooms on the main floor so go before grabbing seats since the escalator up wasn't working and you don't want to climb twice if your theatre is upstairs. The actual theatre was clean and the temperature was fine. It did have a strong odour if a mix of foods that I don't usually smell. There was no time play...why?? Not sure. The entire place was not crowded for a Friday night considering the same movie I wanted to see was sold out at Winston Churchill. This theatre had more youth and families with small children. Didn't matter to me as I got the movie I wanted and I got decent seats too. read more

This location seems to be a little run down. It totally does need a new makeover. I like this theater, it is convenient although it is showing its age. I just feel dirty for coming here. The people who are working there are either friendly and efficient or either rude and lazy. There is no median. The food and drinks are over market value price so there are plenty of restaurants for better eats in the area before attending a showing. You can pre-order your ticket in advance, cash out at automated kiosk and or at the ticket booth. Tuesday nights are cheap nights! I took my nieces to see a movie this weekend and it has been a couple of years since I have been here and I was interested to see how the theater looked since it was opened. I frequented this theater when I lived in the area and it was very modern and progressive at the time but since then the theater has not changed in the 8 yrs . This theater used to have all glitz and glamour because it was the flagship but now it does not compare to the newer Cineplex venues of the GTA. When it comes to convenience the best thing is to use the automated kiosks or order your tickets online. This way you can just walk up to theater instead of waiting in line to purchase tickets. This location although does feature an IMAX screen in a separate part of the building and I have been there for a couple of screenings and the the experience is excellent. The few key points about the theater..the service level is good and the cinema is clean, but the concession choices are lacking. The one major complaint was the theater was so warm, to a point that it I was more concerned about the temperature than the movie. My nieces were pretty uncomfortable because of this..but since it was their first movie experience I think they were too excited to complain. The theater needs an update either with the food, the design or the decor. The service levels here are satisfactory, but they really needed to watch the temps in the theaters....still a very functional and fun venue...3 stars read more

The IMAX theatre was really nice and clean. The seats were reclinable and you're able to pre select your seats.

I have been coming here for years (since grade school if not longer) and i have fond memories of being here with family and friends. My most recent visit here was to watch the new Star Wars movie with D-Box seats. The seats were awesome - it was like being in one of those 4-D rides since the seats moved with the sounds and/or actions. Other than that, the venue itself is outdated and in serious need of an upgrade for the decor and food/entertainment available. The staff is friendly enough, but (at least speaking for the one I went to at the concessions stand) may need more training - she processed my order wrong but I didn't notice until i was already in my seat and it would have taken too long to correct the issue. If I return to cineplex to watch another movie, I'll probably give another location a shot since this one was disappointing. read more

Generally like this theatre. Great central location, ample parking, all of the popular movies play here. IMAX is great but pricey. Standard is fine. Employees are friendly. Never experienced a bathroom line. Dropped 2 stars because the Digital 3D is terrible for fast paced action. Is it the fps? Is it their tech? It'll go into a strobe effect that makes us nauseous. The last movie we saw was Captain America Civil War and all of the fight scenes were ruined. read more

pretty decent location as far as movie theaters go, looks like it could be due for a renovation in the next little bit. this location is a tad bit strange once you get in, as soon you pay, you have to go through the ticket checking process in order to get to the food/snacks and movies, usually its the other way around. this location is pretty no frills in respect to offerings, its a snack bar and thats pretty much it, no inside tim hortons or a&w or anything else. the bathrooms here need some love for sure, taps were broken, soap dispensers as well. the bathrooms overall were pretty clean but not completely functional. the seats inside of theater number 2 were ok, but once you leaned back into recline position it was better hard to get out of the seats..which is comfy and funny, but not funny as well. would go back as currently i have sworn off my local theater. read more

Was expecting a crowd but it's nice that AVX and IMAX screenings let you pick seats ahead of time. Even though this theatre is seemingly smaller than Queensway, I've never had a difficulty finding parking; at Queensway, I am easily waiting 20-30 mins for parking for a popular show. This theatre also has more auto purchase kiosks than any other I've been to. I don't even understand why people line up to buy tickets anymore. The washrooms are located on the ground level, but are big and nice. Expect a line up right after a popular screening. There's also some "food" shops - Pizza Pizza, etc. Expect to pay more than you've ever paid for a slice and pop. ANKIE TIP: Easy to sneak in chips and pop in a bag. I sneaked in KFC for Deadpool. BTW, where on earth did TimePlay go? This theatre doesn't seem to have it. read more

So I feel a little embarrassed. I've been extolling the virtues of Canadian cinema to my coworkers and friends down here in Buffalo, gloating a little about the wonderful, clean theaters and the assigned seating and all the other cool and fancy stuff. And then I went here. It wasn't terrible, but it was much more like an experience in an everyday chain theater in the US. It was grubby, and a lot of the trash bins were overflowing. I am not sure if this is a regular occurrence, or because they were overwhelmed because of Star Wars. Either way, the level of cleanliness was a bit off-putting. I saw far more staff sweeping tiny particles of popcorn off the floor, and nobody taking out the trash. Otherwise, it was an acceptable experience. I think I'd much rather go to the theater in Etobicoke if I had to choose between these theaters. read more

Located right down the street from Square One, getting here is pretty easy for drivers and public transit users. There's a ton of parking so don't be worried about finding a last minute spot. The theatre itself is pretty large with two floors, 13 screens, party room, arcade and a few restaurants (Pizza Pizza, Yogen Fruz). One thing I love about this place is the IMAX screen. Nothing's better than large "reclining" seats, reserved seating and breathtaking screen sharpness. The service here has always been above par. The employees all seem pretty young, but they must train them well because they're always friendly, sweet and never forget to call us guests and tell us to enjoy our show. Love it. What's the deal with over priced popcorn drinks and candy? I always laugh when I glance at the prices. I can't believe theatres are still getting away with inflated prices. My recommendation if you're the type to snack during a film...BYOC. You don't have to be a professional candy smuggler to get away with it and on the plus side, you save some money. read more

I really, honestly don't think I can do it anymore. You were the theatre of my misspent youth, the place I saw "The Mummy Returns" two nights in a row for some ungodly reason, the place that I spent way too much time in after spending way too much time in the nearby Jack Astor's. Fond memories of the "The World is Not Enough" (okay, not the movie itself) and way more than I can even remember. But now, erstwhile Coliseum? I don't think I can do it anymore. Your parking remains surprisingly adequate (which is more than I can say for a lot of other theatres) but that's probably because half of the amassed throng there to see "Hunger Games Part IX" aren't old enough to drive and took the bus. Otherwise I really have little reason to go back, unless you're the only theatre not showing the latest, overlong Hobbit movie in non-3D (I hate 3D). But even then, it ain't worth it. It's too crowded and no one says 'thank you' when you hold the door and that's assuming you can even wiggle your way in on a Friday night. So nuts to it all. You, Queensway and the former AMC on the Mississauga - Oakville border are all equidistant to my house and I don't have to fight the seemingly never-ending traffic on Hurontario to get to the latter two. So I'm done. It's not really your fault, but I'm still done. Still, I'll hold on to the memories. Sitting in the back row watching "The Green Mile" and making out during the entire three hour movie? Good times. And yes, I probably couldn't have picked a less appropriate movie to make out to but what are you going to do? read more

A very solid movie experience, slighlty better than the average burbs movie theatre in terms of movie selection/cleanliness. I believe that the Silvercity Mississauga has a better selection when it comes to playing smaller movies. My last time here, the 12:45pm screening didn't start until just past 1pm. By that I mean the screen was blank until that point. But to their credit they did skip the ads and trailers to make up for it. But as someone that enjoys watching trailers prior to a screening I would have liked to watch a few of those. But that was a one time issue, and I know it's not reflective of how the screenings here are usually run, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. But nothing here has made me feel like it's an amazing experience, hence only the 3 stars. Service at the concession stand was very mundane but not bad. I believe the fantastic location they have there right by Square One and amongst tons of dining/drink options around, they probably get more buisness than they deserve. Due to day light savings, I arrived an hour late for a screening. I was extremely confused when I thought the film was supposed to begin, yet no one had left the theatre. Anyway, I eventually figured it out, and had to go to Guest Services. They fixed the problem, getting new tickets for the next screening. Ticket Taker was snoozing when I initially handed him my ticket. He was awake enough to tell me what # theatre, so why didn't he let me know that the movie had already started?? Other minor annoyances: - washrooms are only on the ground floor which really sucks if your movie is playing on the second floor - there is also a lot of wasted space with a concession stand on the 2nd floor that is NEVER operating - not all of the ticket vending machines work Otherwise this theatre is ok. I mainly go here due to the proximity and they always seem to be playing the movie that I want to see. I was satisfied that Guest Services was able to rectify my problem without any hassle! read more

It's just too old and too tired. When I visited the Coliseum recently for a screening of Suicide Squad (spoiler: it sucks), I was struck by how little the theatre seems to have been maintained over the years. It has the feeling of a half-price theater, yet still charges exorbitant prices for tickets and its staff generally look like they'd rather be somewhere else. There's only so much you can do with a place like this, and yet, it feels like it's being squandered by the higher-ups at Cineplex. The Queensway VIP theatres makes you feel like you're at a Hollywood premiere whenever you go, and the service is top-notch. The AMC theatres are known for being cavernous and clean. The Coliseum, despite being parked in the middle of the Mississauga City Centre, feels like a relic of the past. It's never really been upgraded or modernized, and all the exhibits in the halls have never changed since their opening in the late 90s. There are better places to go. The only reason I'd recommend going here is for the IMAX showings, and really, there are better places you can go for those (like the Scotiabank in Toronto). Don't come here unless you don't have any other options. P.S. They still haven't staffed the second-floor concession booth. Tear it down or replace it with something else, because it's always an eyesore whenever I go. read more

The concession stands aren't the greatest and washrooms were also not very clean. They do have a photo booth and couple of vending machines. Incredible! The multi-level design can make it difficult to find your theater, but the signage is effective and the employees are very helpful! The seating is comfortable and the stadium design makes movie viewing effective, regardless what seat you end up in! Great snack bar and snack options! Just wish they offered refills on popcorn and soda like US movie theaters do! The facility is well-maintained... clean and appropriately lit. The staff is friendly and professional, and made our family movie night a joy! I would go back again, and again (if I didn't live in the US)! read more

This is the theater where I saw my first Hollywood movie in IMAX with my aunt and that is HAPPY FEET TWO: AN IMAX 3D EXPERIENCE on November 19, 2011. The results were amazing, but the IMAX screen/room felt a bit smaller than the IMAX theater @ the Falls! This is also the first movie theater I've been to that has an escalator, though there was no sign of a lounge. Overall, this is an amazing theater to see not only a movie, but an IMAX movie!!!! read more

I came here with a friend for the first time because we really wanted to watch the Raid 2 and this was the closest location to us (over an hour away...we really wanted to watch it). So here we show up and it was fairly busy even for a late Thursday night. We got there around 10:15 pm and it was pretty packed. It was a little confusing as far as theaters go. There were lineups everywhere as soon as you walked through the doors, but since we had tickets we just walked past the ticket booth and machines where everybody was waiting, only to run into more lineups! It was lineups for concessions, which were directly in front and to the right. First we wanted to find our theater, but it was confusing because the entrance to it was in the back, the signage told us to head right, but everything was sealed off. After some confusion we realized we had to get into a different lineup, which was the only lineup to all of the theaters. Ok, outside of that confusion it was a nice theater. It was way in the back and had it's own set of bathrooms in the hallway leading up to it, which is always a nice plus. The theater itself wasn't too busy, and we had a great view, with a nice screen and comfy seats. I'd come here again and now it won't be as confusing as the first time. Yay! read more

Came here to watch Creed with a friend. I highly recommend the movie, it was great! It wasn't busy for a Saturday night and we were trying to make the 7:55pm showtime by arriving at 8:00pm haha. Rushed to the automated machines to buy the tickets and then hustled towards the theatre. One peculiar thing I remember is that no one was anywhere to check our tickets before going into the theatre room. The theatre is quite large with a very generous screen and good viewing angles. We ended up squeezing into a pair of seats in the sweet spot of the theatre. The seats don't recline but it was comfy with legroom for even a tall person like myself. read more

My little cousin had a birthday Xbox party here yesterday and it seemed like a great idea for young kids/teenagers. The package included 2 hours of Xbox on the big screen, candy, popcorn and drinks plus your own party host. Our host was attentive and helpful. Cineplex needs to investigate the manager of this location. Her conduct is very unprofessional, and has been on several occasions. This has been my regular spot to see movies (at least twice a month) since it opened in the 90's. the current manager is so awful that I refuse to see movies here any longer. She is the sole reason for the loss of a long-time customer. My family and friends feel the same way. An example of her unprofessional conduct: We went to see the premiere of a very popular super hero movie. We bought tickets weeks ahead and looked forward to the viewing. An hour into the film the MANAGER of the location shuffled her way into our row through the seats and started having a conversation with the man sitting beside us because she was mad that another employee gave him a poster.... I was livid. How can the lead manager have such a lack of respect for her own patrons? Such a shame. She is also very unpleasant to speak to and has terrible customer service instincts. This is the same theatre I've been going to since I was a kid. It's gotten many renovations over the years, but it's always a good time. Because it's in a busy area, I recommend going at least 30/40 minutes before each movie starts and giving even more time for a more popular/ newer movie to get your choice of seats. read more
