A friend invited me to CineVita for Teen Beat Live and I honestly had no idea what I was getting myself into. We parked in PS3 garage just around the corner from CineVita. There's a lot of development still happening in the area so the area around CineVita looked kind of rough but there was a dirt path lined with some trees to get to the venue which literally faces SoFi Stadium. I can't imagine how congested it would be if you had tickets to a show and there was also something going on a SoFi. Picnic area/bar/food stations were outside the venue. Concession stand and bar was also inside the venue. The queuing to get scanned in didn't make sense to me and felt like it took way longer than it should and it was not even that busy yet. They have mobile ordering at the table so I ordered a slice of Pepperoni pizza. I've seen comments saying the food isn't good, but it's more or less the same quality food at a movie theater or at the stadium. It was expensive and fine for what it was, but I fully expected that. One thing I'll say is the wine selection was pretty good and so was the liquor selection. Clearly they could tell that the audience attending CineVita was not your typical sporting event beer drinking crowd. Show was supposed to start at 7:30pm supposedly but didn't really start until 8pm. There was a quick intro speech highlighting the venue itself which is a Spiegel tent. Thought it was a pretty well made temporary structure. Seating for the shared tables was very crammed. So much that even the servers had trouble passing by which seemed not great in case of an emergency. Given the larger size of Americans, don't think these small tables should have more than 4 max at a table for the most optimal experience. There were 8 of us crammed at my table and it was a pretty uncomfortable experience. Fortunately I was in an aisle so was able to spill over into the aisle a bit, but I felt bad for the couple that was at the front of our table and on the other side who was wedged between people from two other tables. Nobody wants to be that close to each other! Performances for Teen Beat Live definitely were nostalgic for me as someone born in the 80s. Lots of great classic 80s songs were performed throughout the show and seeing this is LA, the performers were excellent! I definitely was dancing in my seat the entire time! Restroom facilities are a fancy porta potty that are very tight inside. Knowing the venue was a portable tent, I thought they had the nicest quality of porta potties at least. Overall a great experience. I hope they take guest feedback about seating and the overall flow getting into the venue into account and work out the kinks as I definitely think the concept itself has potential. read more

What a beautiful spot in a beautiful "tent"! The location would only be better if parking were easier. But once you're there, the fountain of the sofi and the red carpet, make you feel special as you enter. The vibe is 80s cheesy fun and the crowd ate it up! The singers and dancers did an incredible job and deserved the standing ovation they received. The theme itself was fun but I think they can do more with a story. It felt very Vegas or cruise ship, instead of clever and quirky LA immersive plays. Drinks and food are pretty pricy but they sell off the pizzas for $10 at the end of the evening (which I appreciate). read more

Went to the 80s show which advertises an immersive experience. It's not. Far from it. We were a group of 6 celebrating a bday. We were told they offer nothing as a birthday celebration, not even a silly decoration. Their marketing person is a joke. She doesn't even respond to emails. That aside each couple paid $206 to sit at a booth. Each couple paid $33 for parking which is nowhere near the venue so if you're wearing heels you will be walking through dirt and an unpaved road with little rocks in the middle of a construction zone - there and back and no, there's no other way of getting there or being dropped off. There's also no signs to where the venue is actually located which is a tent across from SoFi. If you ask anyone they are clueless. The venue itself is cute but more 1920s style than 1980s. The fact that you get a booth offers you nothing extra. Pay less for the little tables and ask to be seated together. Eat your meals at home too because their extremely overpriced food is disgusting and service is very bad. It took our order over an hour to arrive and only after we complained. We ordered water bottles and they shorted us 3 bottles. Food came not at the same time even though the whole table ordered at the same time. Alcohol was ok but for $26 a drink I don't want it in a tiny plastic cup. This place advertises as classy and it's not. Far from it. The red carpet in the front is to disguise the dirt pavement and their bathrooms are trailers which are quite tiny. They were clean but the lines at intermission were too long for such a venue. The show was supposed to start at 7:30pm and last 2 hours and 20 minutes. One intermission for 20 minutes which lasted longer. Show started closer to 8:30pm and ended at 9:38pm. False advertisement. Each couple spent over $350 and drove an hour and 15 minutes to get there. Although the singers and dancers were great and the music was fun the audience is not allowed to dance so I'm not sure how or why they categorize the show as immersive. The dancers do run through the isles but I don't consider that immersive. We were allowed to stand and dance during the finale which was nice but overall the show did not deliver what was promised and the value of money was definitely not worth it. If you want to go I recommend trying a daytime show and have low expectations. Buy the cheapest tickets and either bring food and drinks or eat at home. This is not a dinner date type of place unless you like crap food or have zero taste buds. read more

I brought binoculars, but never needed to use them. The workers and servers were all very nice, but the pizza is just ok. Not enough toppings. The meatballs were good. The drinks were good but expensive. I think the show and service is 5 stars but the food and drink is a 4 star. Overall 4.5 stars. I will recommend the show, but I will eat elsewhere. read more

We had tickets to see Teen Beat Live and parked down the street using a parking app. I was not about to pay $33 for parking. I can still walk so we did. We arrived right before the show began and were seated at the booth against the wall. I ordered a sparkling rose and sparkling water during the show. The service was great even if the rose seemed a little small for the price tag. I appreciated the cold beverages while we watched the show. The booth was comfortable with a decent view of the action. I recently bought tickets to see Tarantino Live at CineVita as a surprise weekend trip to Los Angeles and date night with my hubby, and it was a massive hit with both of us. We are both QT dorks, and he's our favorite filmmaker of all time. We are well-versed in his cinematic universe, and this live stage show that incorporates his filmography and iconic soundtrack music was an absolute blast! CineVita is one of those L.A. experiences that feels both wildly extra and totally perfect for this city. Set inside the CineVita venue, which is an incredible Spiegel "tent" with gorgeous interior woodwork, the whole night feels like you've stepped into a cinematic playground. The show was part live theater, part movie night, part high energy rock concert, and part Tarantino come to life. The CineVita setting has a fully immersive and intimate layout that makes you feel like you're inside the action rather than just watching it. If you're a fan of all things Quentin, you have to do this show. Trust me. We arrived on a very abnormal rainy night, and it was a challenge getting to the venue. Makeshift sidewalks were placed over gigantic mud puddles, and I am so glad I had brought boots to wear with my dress. The venue requests that you dress a bit nicer, which really did add to the ambiance once inside. We were seated at a very nice table that we ended up sharing with two other couples. It was very cramped once the others arrived, but the view of the stage was terrific. This is a theater in the round, so you can see from all angles. We decided to splurge and buy a bottle of champagne which was promptly brought to our table in a nice ice bucket. We also ordered a couple of snacks that were themed to Tarantino movies (Fox Force Fries and GoGo's pot stickers, LOL). Both were very good bar snacks and arrived hot and fresh. The prices for concessions were on the higher side, but we felt the amusement factor was worth it. The show itself is pure Tarantino energy, mashing together the filmmaker's sharp dialogue, big character personalities, sudden bursts of bloody intensity, and that unmistakable mix of humor and violence that keeps you coming back for more. Seeing Quentin's work performed live added a whole new layer, and the audience energy made everything feel more electric. This was a theater full of mostly rabid QT fans, and it showed. Now, you don't have to be familiar with his films to enjoy this show, but it is absolutely made by fans for fans. I loved the creativity in how certain films and scenes were mashed up into one cohesive performance. The cast changes frequently, and the roster features very talented local (and admittedly C-list) performers. For example, the "headliner" the night we were there was Brian McKnight Jr., and he was an incredibly strong singer. The cast was terrific and so good at what they do. This is a hardworking group of skilled performers and they put on a very professional show. Be sure to check out my videos that I have uploaded to Yelp! What made the evening especially fun is how cool the space is. It's a temporary structure, which comes with some caveats (the bathrooms are glorified port-a-potties, for example), and expensive $33 parking is at the nearby entertainment complex garage (which means you need advanced reservations or risk being turned away if the lot is at capacity). But the CineVita setup allows scenes to unfold all around you, blurring the line between stage and screen. It feels immersive without being overwhelming, and it keeps the pacing tight and engaging the entire time. Overall, Tarantino Live at CineVita is bold, stylish, and unapologetically fun. It's not subtle, it's not quiet, and it's definitely not boring. If you love Tarantino or just want a unique, "only in Los Angeles" night out that feels like dinner theater meets cult cinema, this one's a blast. I highly recommend this event! read more

The huge tent was absolutely gorgeous, the show super entertaining and even the food was so yummy! We ordered a burger and since it was made by SmashBurger it was sooooo good! Cinevita is a super cool Spiegel tent right next to So-Fi stadium. The tent itself is the largest Spiegel tent in the world and the venue prides itself on that. The venue is well designed with mirrors and windows, with great seating around the stage. The place is well ventilated with great sound and lights -perfect for more intimate concerts or plays. I went to the Teen Beat concert here and it was super fun! The staff are also very helpful and nice, although I noticed they would sometimes deliver food and drinks during the performance which blocked the way. For parking, there are a couple structures around, but try to get the structure right next to the venue to save a walk. Only gripe is that the bathrooms are super cramped as they are trailers. A stall door will block the main walkway. Other than that, cool, fun venue - if you get a chance, check it out! read more

Wonderful wonderful experience! The artists are incredible! Beautiful costumes, fantastic voices, the dancers are very engaging and skilled, no notes a truly joyful experience. The space is not a standing structure but it's built v nicely and comfortably! That being said the signage is a little hard to navigate given so many other music and art spaces that are notably much larger, and it not being visible from the main road. The space itself is deeply comfortable and intimate, more of a dinner theatre/theatre in the round type of experience. Food price was decent! Surprisingly -fully expecting a 8 dollar bottle of Kirkland water, and 30+ for parking - which was actually I want to say 12? Perfectly reasonable in today's economy especially next to SoFi. My only real critique was the seating chair choice, which is a classic kind of 4 footed wooden bar chair - classic choice and fits the vibe of the space but not exactly the most comfortable choice. Like I'm a pretty average sized guy, I definitely fear for the older or heavier. If there was investment a galactic padded seat would look great visually and be a bit more user friendly lol. I think the target demographic is more of a family style show or an older crowd reminiscing - so that could be better considered. Takeaways, the performers talent can't be touched, the staff is flawless, engaged kind- wonderful customer service, the price point for food and drink and parking is perfectly placed, the venue itself is lovely and comfortable. For starters, the CineVita Tent is spectacularly put together, allowing for every seat to get a front row experience. I've never been a fan of musicals but as an 80's baby, I was almost immediately flooded with memories I had long forgotten and tried my best to keep my tears to myself. So if you enjoy musicals or are a fan of one of the best decades of music, come enjoy a live show of 80's ballads that will surely unlock long forgotten memories. The venue was a vibe, that's for sure. The employees were attentive and pleasant. So high energy too! However, the seats by the far wall were u comfortable. Not sure why but the padding wasn't enough for our backs. Those who were seated on the sides had to crane their necks to watch the performance. I also think that management could've invested in better speakers. Everything was just loud and we couldn't distinguish between voices because the equipment couldn't produce a crisper sound. Maybe I'm nitpicking but I desperately wanted to enjoy the songs and the individual singers but I couldn't because it all came down to the sound being loud enough to reverberate through the hall. I also ordered nachos for $19 - which came half an hour after. No fork, very little tuna. I was disappointed. CineVita is a really fun experience! I've been to shows by For the Record before, and they've always been a great time. I went to Tinselcolor, their holiday soundtracks show, on their last night. The Belgian Spiegeltent is very pretty inside, and it is such a unique event venue. I was there with a table of 4 in front of the end stage, a prime location. But from what I could see, there don't appear to be too many bad seats - maybe a little obstruction from the structural pillars. The food options are limited to snack items with a smashburger food truck out front. There is a varied alcoholic beverage selection. There is a small lobby area with a bar. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. As it is a tent, the bathrooms are external trailers. The check-in process was relatively straightforward. There was a security person checking bags before we got in line. Then there was a line to check in in the lobby. After checking in, since we had a table, we were given a table number and proceeded to the entrance to venue entrance to be seated. We had a little issue with the seating because people were already seated at the table we were assigned. They had a little trouble finding us another table, so we were standing around for about 10-15 minutes. But our representative was extremely helpful and got us seated at a table on the level we paid for before the show started. The show itself was really fun and engaging. It is immersive in that the singers are moving around the venue throughout the show. The talent was incredible and they were not shy about showing off their vocal prowess. Parking is expensive - they have a recommended parking structure nearby, and it's better to pre-pay for $33 because on-site they charged $50. The location is not ideal if there are other events in the area (Forum, SoFi Stadium, Intuit Dome) - it would take forever to get in and out of there. But that's not their fault. Overall, For the Record puts on fun shows and the venue is cool. The logistics (food, bathrooms, parking, location, cost) might make it less worthwhile, but perhaps having managed expectations will also help maintain a positive experience. read more

Saw the 80's show Teen Beat last night. The performers were all SO VERY TALENTED!! They put 1000% in - insanely high energy & kept it up throughout until the end of the show, even when the audience was stiff, didn't affect their performance at all. 5 stars for the performers; 3 stars for the venue = average 4 total stars The venue's staff members were great - friendly & helpful the whole time. Intimate circular venue in a smaller Cirque du Soleil type of structure but there were columns throughout that blocked some views of the center stage as well as the performances that took place on the staircase on the outer perimeter. I wish the sound system was better. Despite the mediocre sound system, the performers were able to still sound great but I'd imagine with a professional sound system they would be incredible. I don't know if the venue is temporary or permanent - the tent was in the middle of dirt construction areas fenced off by chain link fences & the exterior of the venue was on top of what appeared to be temporary floor covering. Perhaps they are operating while still continuing exterior construction? Uncertain. There are no regular bathrooms. There are trailer bathrooms outside. I wanted to love the venue but in its current state, I didn't. I'll go to future performances put on by this performing group "For the Record" at other venues, but won't be returning to this venue. read more

Very unique and intimate venue, wherever you sit you'll get a good view. The venue itself is beautiful, lots of mirrors, carved wood, and nicely maintained. We saw Tinselcolor on Friday night and it was a fun and festive show. The quality of the performers was outstanding. The sound inside was great and the view was perfect from the balcony. It's open seating, so get there early so you can pick a good seating area, where your view won't be blocked from the columns. They sell themed alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and also some food prepared by a food truck. If you sit at any of the tables on the first floor, you'll be able to get table service for your food and drinks. Minus 1 star for the bathrooms, as they are mobile portable toilets and even though they try to keep them clean, the women's smelled like pee. Also parking in the structure is $33 and they don't validate. read more

What a great performance by all the cast. If you're a Tarantino fan, you'll love this. They blended several different movies in a unique way This tent is beautifully designed with stained glass windows, many mirrors, and has an old time Hollywood feel to it. I would definitely recommend coming to a show here. Parking is in the nearby structure and was $30. They sell drinks and food and since it's a tent, there's no running water so bottled water is $5. When you first walk up, you're welcomed by the red carpet and the spectacular view of the venue. It felt truly Hollywood. "TARANTINO LIVE" I had no idea what to expect, but this is such a good and unique take on Tarantino's films. It's playing thru 11/16 and the tickets are very reasonable, so if you want a good time out, you should definitely pick up some tickets to this show! The cast was so talented and it was just a F'n good time. It's not chronological with his films, It's just a rollicking good time that folds the films in and out in no particular order... Just whatever helps the show flow. The backstory, is a Hollywood story, where "For the Record" was in a little bar in Hollywood that started a thing where people would come in and sing songs from Tarantino films, then one night Quentin walked in and said this is great, we've gotta keep doing this, but let's expand on it... and years later, they had this Spiegeltent created (the largest in the world, handcrafted by one family in Belgium), now they've got this wonderful stage experience... and if you live in Los Angeles (or visiting), you should definitely check it out! *** I am looking forward to seeing what's next on their calendar because I'll be back! read more

We saw the Tarantino Live show and it was such a fun experience at a beautiful venue. CineVita is a spiegeltent, which I learned is large, ornate, traveling venue originally built in Belgium in the late 19th century. This venue is beautifully crafted from wood, canvas, and mirrors galore! We had tickets for the balcony, but were upgraded to a booth. I would recommend booth seating versus tables. The tables are quite small and if you are a couple, you will need to share with another couple. Same is true for booth seating, but the booths have more comfortable seating and the tables are bigger. Tables and booths have table service and the food is brought to you by costumed bellhops. We ended up with a booth to ourselves, which was a good thing because we ordered a lot of food. The food was decent snack fare, with kitschy Tarantino-themed names like Fox Force Fries (with spicy ketchup--recommended) and Royale with Cheese. They had a full service bar, and the show is fully immersive. We loved the performers coming down the stairs and dancing in front of the booths. The music and acting were energetic and a fun homage to Tarantino films. An unforgettable experience. My only "complaint" is that our drinks were served in plastic cups. It's such an elegant looking setting and the plastic cups took away from the vibe. Not a deal breaker though! Still highly recommend! read more

As a longtime fan of For the Record, I am so happy that it has made its home here in Inglewood as CineVita! Featuring a handcrafted spiegeltent made by a Belgian family who has been making them for generations, from the woodcutting to the glasscutting to the fabric, you feel the quality and passion as soon as you come upon the grand facade that is almost surreal looking, like it's out of some painting. The best seats are definitely the tables, the balcony seats don't feature too much cushioning. The sound system is incredible and since it's like a theater in the round, there is no real bad seat in the house. You are seated with all seats at the table facing front, so you'll be sitting front to back with the person you're with. You can order some themed food, drinks, and snacks using the QR code at your table or order from the bar. The food is like hot dogs, popcorn, burgers, tacos, etc. The food is okay, it'll tide you over but I'd probably eat before getting here since it's mostly of the heat-up variety. The performance is the same magical quality that you come to expect from For the Record. Broadway-quality talent with Broadway-quality lighting design. Expertly directed for an engrossing look into Tarantino's oeuvre and the music that characterizes his movies. I can't wait for the Brat Pack to come next. They said they'll have a brand new performance for the holidays, so I guess they're trying something different from Love Actually Live. Parking can be found at the nearby parking garage on premises (PS-3) and then it's an easy walk over to the tent. Highly recommend for a wonderful night out, especially for movie buffs! And I don't think you necessarily need to know every movie to enjoy it. read more

CineVita is a pretty unique event to experience. The manager came out before the show and gave us the whole spiel if you wish about the Spielgeltent and it's history which is pretty cool. We ended up seeing Tinselcolor, which was their Christmas show and the show was fairly top notch for a small venue, but we've been to some of the "For the Record" events in the past and they usually don't disappoint. If you can, try and get your parking validated at a nearby venue like Cosm and it will save you about $20 bucks. read more

This TEEN BEAT show is my 2nd show I've seen at Cinevita (I previously saw the Tarantino show). They put on a REALLY good show. The singers are great. The band sounds great. The dancers are great. I will say the sound was a little bit loud and distorted at times and a little echo-y but besides that no real complaints. The spiegeltent is really cool. The food is nothing crazy and, yes, overpriced, but so what? You are going for the show itself which really is a lot of fun. Definitely recommend! You do have to deal with parking--which a little more than $30 at the nearby garage or you can park on La Brea for free and walk over (like a mile). read more

An absolutely stunning venue - the Belgian Spiegel Tent is simply gorgeous with its carved wood and stained glass and beautiful lighting. But even more beautiful than the venue is the talent! I saw the Tinselcolor show and was blown away by the cast. Some of the best voices I've ever heard, and Joey McIntyre is as always a charming and lovely host. Next on my list to see is the Tarantino musical which I hear is equally great and features a lot of the same cast. If you have the opportunity to set foot in this mystical tent in Inglewood (who can believe I just wrote that phrase?) this holiday season, DO IT! read more

I was fortunate enough to win tickets to see Tarantino Live! (Thank you YelpLA and CineVita!) and although I am not familiar with every single Tarantino film, overall I love their soundtracks of the films I have seen. Plus I was super excited to check out this new venue, so I knew no matter what it was going to be a great time! First of all, I'm super excited for this whole complex that is being built in around Hollywood Park and loved walking across the property, turning and seeing a huge red carpet with a festive lit up theater front! The staff were very helpful every step of the way from the edge of the red carpet and into the venue to my seat. I wound up in a great seat at tables on the floor and they mentioned that it was in a passageway for the performers, which turned out to be super fun! But they did say because of that, there may be sometimes where they can't deliver my drink immediately. But it was never an issue. I loved all the fun themed drinks and snacks and when I arrived, the lines were not too bad to order them before I got to my seat, but it is also easy to scan the QR code and order directly to your table, which I also did. The performance was even better than I expected! The scenes were so memorable, the singing was phenomenal, I really enjoyed the show and had a blast! Part of what made it cool was the venue! Having it be a Theatre in the round inside of the largest Spiegeltent in the world added to the character! The lighting added great energy to the performances, the mirrors meant that at any moment if you could tear your eyes off of what was happening on stage, you could see different angles all the way around the room, which was really cool. It was just beautiful too. The only thing I want to point out as a slight point of confusion, is the GPS map when I arrived in the Uber, was sending me in the opposite direction. But fortunately, I saw the building and knew it was going to be inside a round structure and walked towards the right direction. I came to see Loren Lott in the Tarantino Pulp Rock show, only to discover that she had already completed her contract days before I came! Bummer! While I didn't get to see Loren, I was still blown away by the location and the show. The layout of the Cinevita was unique and charming, with thousands of mirrors throughout. The story of the structure is interesting, and it is a must-have experience if you like live performances. There's plenty of parking and lots of food available! We Enjoyed some win, sliders, and The show was EXHILARATING! The performers were phenomenal and kept us on the edges of our seats! The entire cast shined, and my week was made! There are lots of gun scenes, so be mindful of that! I definitely see myself returning to the Cinevita! read more

I would have never known about Tarantino Pulp Rock or CineVita had my co worker not mention either to me. We've been trying to incorporate live performances to check out these past few months. And, if you're a fan of Quentin Tarantino movies- this is a definite must! We were the first in line, arrived a bit earlier than expected- thank goodness for dry winter skies- it was cool to hang out and enjoy the full moon reflecting on Rivers Lake, in between CineVita & SoFi Stadium. Uber dropped us off in front of Cosm Los Angeles (even though we dialed in the actual address for CineVita). It's a quick jaunt to get from one point to the other. It took a few minutes longer since staff was trying to get the metal detector bases adjusted. As of now, Tarantino Pulp Rocks is the production currently running til Mid March. And we happened to be the first audience for CineVita's preview run. This is a cashless venue, btw and I'm not sure if there's an ATM inside. There are options to enjoy your performance. Upstairs (General Admission) in the balcony area. On ground level is premium tables- cushioned wood chairs or the Moët Experience in a plush velvet booth (6 people). We opted for the premium table and were directed right at the stage. What I love about this space is the performing cast will utilize the balcony area, staircase inside the venue, and everywhere on the ground floor, along with the main stage. Quick history on the interior decor- there are 130 hand-carved mirrors that one Belgian man created. His wife hand stitched the tapestries that run above the balcony area. During the performance- the audience should utilize the mirrors circling the room! If performers have their backs facing you, glance at the mirrors- and you can still see their facial expressions from the mirrors in front of them! This venue is a Spiegeltent, and the largest in the world! QR codes are available to order refreshments from your table. read more

Review: Tarantino | Pulp Rock at CineVita I surprised my wife for our anniversary and took her to CineVita for the live Pulp Rock show -- Tarantino! Pretty sure I nailed it . Then again, with her love of rock , live performances , and film , this one was a guaranteed bullseye . It's a wild homage to Hollywood in true Tarantino form -- explosive, stylish, and unapologetically over the top. The performances were phenomenal -- not a simple retelling of his movies, but a brilliantly creative mash-up of all his classics. Scenes and songs collided, flowed, and reimagined the favorites into something new and electric . The cast? Pure fire . Every performer sang and acted their asses off with Olympic-level energy . The venue itself is part of the magic -- a massive, ornate Belgian-built spiegeltent that just opened last weekend. The owner personally kicked things off by explaining how it was designed and shipped from Belgium (even the princes of Belgium came for the ribbon cutting ). The space feels vintage, intimate, and completely immersive. I scored a nice discount (veterans and retired first responders qualify -- double win ) and grabbed VIP seats right next to the stage. That up-close experience was awesome, but next time I'd probably pick a balcony, booth, or perimeter table for a wider view of the visual chaos . As for food and drinks -- decent but not gourmet . Definitely LA-priced , but that's not what you come here for. You come for the show. A few quick notes : * Ages 16+ only - adult themes, language, violence, and realistic props . * It's loud, wild, and fully immersive -- actors move through the audience . I have to admit, I didn't know what to expect when we arrived in the parking lot next door. There was not a clear direct way to get to this newly constructed theater, but once we got in we were overwhelmed by the details that went into making this place, from the velvet ceiling to the beautiful stained glass. I love the For the Record shows. I've seen these performances throughout LA since their origins in West Hollywood, the pop ups in Koreatown and the professional performances at Wallis Annenberg Theater. I have to admit, I love the scrappiness of the original productions especially in the clubby, intimate atmosphere of the bars in Weho. This latest production captures the essence of the original production. But this location leaves very little to be desired. This is a part of LA that is being built up, but still feels very far away from the cultural hub of the city. The performance was lively and engaging. The drinks were good though the food was very much mediocre and overpriced. A slice of pizza for $12? Hard pass. I was very hungry and ordered the dumplings, along with the pretzel. Neither of which were particularly good or worth the price. My advice is to come here after having dinner as the food options are limited and not at all good or worth the money. The staff was very friendly and I loved getting upgraded for the main floor for my seating. The performers are top notch but the Tarintino show is one of my least favorite options of the "For the Record" repertoire. I'm glad that I made the journey but the location leaves very little to be desired. I took an Uber which is extremely challenging from this location. read more

I'm sorry to write this but mixed review here. I had high hopes. Went in super optimistic. Felt let down. Heard about CineVita in the AAA magazine, months age, and was eager to be a patron! Saw Tinsel Color, hosted by Joey McIntrye, on a Sunday night. 7:30 pm show. Holiday soundtracks sung. Some light banter on stage between songs. We happen to be huge NKOTB fans for years but went for the holiday vibes and to experience the venue. Not necessarily for Joey. Pro's: Gorgeous speigeltent- can see the one of a kind craftsmanship! Promoter came out to talk about how he had the tent built, etc. He was very proud. Nice, smaller sized venue (for LA standards). Wonderfully cheery & helpful CineVita staff. Great singers! Beautiful holiday costumes. Holiday vibes! Reasonably priced tickets (about $45 pp for balcony). Entry lobby with drinks and light food options available at the bar (around $14-20 a glass for wine in a small plastic cup). Cons: Sound quality not great. Seems like they put a lot of money into commissioning the build of custom tent but left much to be desired with sound equipment quality or control. Tent is situated on an empty dirt lot. Absolutely horrific drive in and parking situation (be warned: tent located on same campus as huge So Fi stadium) $33 parking (Almost the cost of the admission ticket), which you are not informed of until after you purchase your tickets. The $33 parking news/directions come in an e-mail with your ticket info. Restrooms are in a trailer outside the tent. Tight quarters there. When stall door is opened in ladies area, you hit the person in the rear end who is standing at the sink washing hands. Saw it happen repeatedly. More details on the horrendous drive in and parking situation here: We decided to meet 1.5 hours before the show doors were to open to grab a drink and apps on the same campus at a bar there called "The meeting spot." Plan was to park in the pre-paid parking lot and then walk to the bar (0.2 miles from parking lot). Arrived at 5 pm with show doors to open later (at 6:30) for 7:30 show. Our pre-paid parking instructions indicated we could arrive as early as 3:30 pm to park. This is the parking lot that CineVita recommends via e-mail with a link to pre-pay. We arrived in the area at 5 pm to find So Fi letting out 70,000 people from a Ram's football game. Streets all around the facility and campus were closed and barricades up around the perimeter. We literally could not enter from any direction. Police directing traffic out, etc. Gridlock traffic in all directions. People upset and honking horns, etc. We had to park in a near by parking lot (about 1 mile away) and just wait it out for about 30-45 minutes. We were finally able to get near the venue, we had to beg staff/security let us enter the campus. 2 out of 3 campus staff/security guards had no idea what CineVita was and did not know what parking lot we were trying to get too, even when shown the lot # and parking confirmation. We were following the parking instructions given but getting no where. We were given conflicting info from each security guard. My friend, arriving in a different vehicle, had the same experience. We had pre-paid parking as the e-mail had suggested. And the pre-paid parking instructions indicated we could enter as early as 3:30 PM. No physical way to get in until about 5:30/6 pm. It was a total nightmare. No pre-show drinks at "the Meeting spot" for us. Put a very sour damper on the whole experience. Felt like we had already been in a fight before we entered the show. With all the great show and venue choices in LA, the overall experience was not great. Show was festive and fun but not sure worth the hassle. In the end, about $90 spent on tickets (2), $66 on parking (2 cars), and another $80 in lobby for 1 drink each, 1 light/app type food item each & tip (2 people). The hot pretzel was delicious though! Live theater on crack!!!! I mean that as the utmost compliment. This is truly immersive theater in the round. The amazing music from Tarantino films sang by crazy talented troupe. There were some impressive pipes! The interior was gorgeous. Like you are on the set of Moulin Rouge. The tables were nice. There are QR codes on your tabletop to order drinks and snacks. We literally looked to buy other tickets when we got home. We can't wait to return. The only negative was one of my food items never arrived. I told one of the waitresses at the end of the night. Hopefully my card with be credited. The drink service was decent in timing. The snacks took much longer or didn't show at all in my case. read more

I'm very disappointed with my experience and not because of the performance. More with venue. I paid $40 for balcony seating, but when I arrived, the production company told me we were being "upgraded" to a table. This was not an upgrade. We were placed at a booth with 4 strangers and behind the stage. They reseat us it terrible floor seat. Even worse then than booth with strangers. We essentially got downgraded after paying for better seats, and no refund or price adjustment was offered. On top of that, our server actually sat down at our table while taking our order -- something I found unprofessional and uncomfortable. This was not the experience I paid for, and I left feeling misled and disappointed. I hope the venue and production company take this feedback seriously and improve their seating transparency and customer service. read more
