OMG Cinnaholic is ridiculously good. I'm not vegan and can honestly say these cinnamon rolls FAR out pass Cinnabon. Like Pluto far. I got the Apple Pie Flavor and now pie is ruined for me forever, so is my waistline because I'm coming back every day. There is a display case in the front with the flavors and I have to say, the cinnamon rolls taste MUCH better than they look in the display. Was excited to see this store open it right down from my gym. When you first walk in the store is very neat and clean. They welcome you in. They have other tasty treats, other then cinnamon buns, they also have brownies, cookies, and miniature cinnamon buns. The cinnamon buns are made to order so, it could be a wait. Which can be a good or bad thing. If the store is crowded you man be waiting awhile. The good thing is they are hot and fresh, and not sitting under a warmer. There were so many different toppings, you can get the traditional cinnamon bun, or you can get different toppings or even icing. I got the apple, and to almond toppings for the family. Three cinnamon buns came to $20.00, the price is a little much for a cinnamon bun, but it a once in while treat lol. The toppings can be what cost you the most. The taste was very good. Isn't it funny that what one person complains about is what another person LOVES?! That's why it's good to read a few reviews. These are vegan cinnamon buns -- which is the best part -- because no animals were harmed in their creation. Doesn't that feel great? The second best part is that they are absolutely delicious. Now, the variety to which a cinnamon buns can vary is clearly personal preference. A reviewer complained below that the icing is 'too thin.' I love that it's not thick and gloppy -- that's not how I like my buns! I will admit that I meant to only have ONE BITE of my cinnamon bun before I got home. I wanted to try it while warm and squishy and fresh. Then the plan was to bring it home to split with my husband. Woops? Better luck next time, hubs! I inhaled that thing! Found Cinnaholic on Yelp and was intrigued to go try it. Four of us went and we each got different combinations. Loved the whole concept and they definitely had some interesting combinations. We got an old skool (cinnamon roll w/ vanilla), one with banana cream, pecans and PB cups, one with marshmallow frosting, sprinkles, chocolate chips, marshmallows and the last one with marshmallow frosting, marshmallows and cookie dough. I visited this place on Sunday July 21st after leaving the CineBistro. I walked in and it smelled really good inside. I did have to wait a few minutes because there was line and I know see why :-). Now I didn't know this was a vegan dessert place. Super shocked lol! The customer service would good. No complaints. The young lady at the register did really good taking orders and getting them out to the customer quickly. They had a variety of cinnamon rolls you could get different toppings on. I opted for their regular classic "old skool" cinnamon roll with a lemonade. I paid about $9 for both items. Pretty pricey, nonetheless not a big problem for me. The lemonade was pretty good, nothing special. The cinnamon roll was OMG delicious! I would never have thought they were vegan. I saw a lot of different orders for their different toppings and frosting and everyone seemed to like them. I would definitely stop back here when I go see another movie and try a specialty cinnamon roll. read more

Hands down the worst "Cinnamon roll" I've ever had. Folks, This was just horrendous. First off the bun smelled like melted margarine and chemicals in a microwave. The frosting is crap. The bun itself is tasteless. We waited about 10 min for a bun to come out of the oven. Was it worth it?! Hell no. Oh and the fact that they charge $7 is robbery. Last Saturday I checked out the new cinnamon rolls spot at the Rotunda called @cinnaholic. I wanted to go to their grand opening last Friday but the line was out the door and around the corner and I'm not about that life . The only reason it was that crowded because every cinnamon roll was $1 which is a way better deal than what I payed (more on that later). I decided to order two cinnamon rolls, their "Good Karma" and their "Blueberry Pie". As you can see the Good Karma one has a way better presentation than the blueberry one. I honestly don't think the same person made them. Anyway, they both were good, but the Good Karma one was better. The frosting is nice and buttery, and the cinnamon roll itself tasted fresh too. The cinnamon flavor isn't overbearing like it is in a Cinnabon so I like that. My major problem with this place is the price. I payed nearly $14 for two, which is utterly ridiculous! The $5.25 should include 2 toppings because the cinnamon rolls itself is not that big. Honestly, for this reason I can't recommend this place! I rather get a fresh waffle from Waffie Waffle instead because you get more for your money and it's literally down the street from Cinnaholic. read more

Cinnamon buns were great, the service was terrible. I went in and ordered all cinnamon buns and I was very specific that I wanted cinnamon BUNS with icing and toppings. I told them I wanted cookie dough on one of the buns, the employee asked me if I wanted the cookie dough as a topping and I said yes. I drove 45 minutes home to find out that instead of giving me all the cinnamon buns I ordered, my last two buns were just cookie dough with icing. The last cinnamon bun I ordered I didn't even ask for cookie dough, I asked for lemon icing and raspberries AND THEY PUT THAT ON THE COOKIE DOUGH. I've worked in 3 different restaurant over the past 6 years and I know mistakes happen, but when I called the OWNER told me I had to keep the cookie dough, drive 45 minutes to return it, and then I could have the buns I ordered. NO REFUND. She took no responsibility for her employee and she was not understand of how inconvenienced I was. I should've gotten a refund, not an order to drive 45 minutes with cookie dough I didn't order, to finally receive my correct cinnamon buns. So disappointed. I will never be back. read more

I was excited to share this fun place with my friend but we got there at night and were made to wait in line behind 3 people for 20 minutes before being told they had no cinnamon rolls. There were six of us total who arrived right at closing and who got the cinnamon rolls came down to the polite people letting the other people go first and take them unknowingly! It left a sore taste in my mouth and the customer service could have done something to make it up to us, I mean they're a new business and now they lost two sure fire loyal neighborhood customers. Last time I was there the coffee creamer was chunky when I poured it into my ice coffee and when I brought this up to the woman she told me "it's supposed to be like that." Really? Rubbery little chunks floating through my beverage? I overpayed for it and threw it out outside as she did not offer me another. What really gets me is in fine print at the last minute I read that all their products are vegan. Every classic definition of a cinnamon roll requires lots of butter and lots of cream cheese. I was so excited when I heard Cinnaholic was moving in a few blocks from me in Baltimore since I frequented the Berkeley location when I lived in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, the Baltimore location just doesn't compare at all. There are fewer frosting flavors and topping options (though the menu doesn't seem accurate because while they don't list raspberry as a topping but they do actually have it). The very worst part, though, was the frosting was way too thin and not enough on the bun. I'm so disappointed. My new favorite dessert spot! I've been trying to get here since they opened and I'm so happy I finally did. I love how you can just get creative with these Cinnamon rolls. They was fresh and the toppings was also. I'm happy that there is parking available. They have indoor seating available as well. For 2 buns was $13 it's pricy for buns but I think it's worth it because it's not a chain restaurant and what they offer on them. They offer specialty buns or you can just pick your own toppings which is 25 cent per topping. I really think you should at least not pay for you flavor icing. I will be back it's something different in a dessert instead of the normal cupcake/cake. Customer service is awesome. It did take me a minute to figure out what I wanted so be aware you will be so excited and overwhelmed because you won't know what to pick. I can up with my own Cream cheese icing and strawberry toppings. I hope they stay around long it's a perfect addition to the neighborhood. I visited here on a whim after a massage and decided that I'd try a cinnamon roll. The place was empty and there was only one girl working behind the counter. I ordered a chocolate strawberry cinnamon roll and waited only a few minutes for it. The girl wasn't super friendly and looked like she'd rather have been anywhere else but it was a slow day and anyone who's worked in sales has similar stories about shifts that drag on, so I didn't hold it against her. The price is a bit steep, but I expected it considering that Hampden is the "it" place in Baltimore outside of downtown, and $7 didn't seem that bad considering it was topped pretty high with chocolate chips and strawberry slices. My main issue is with the cinnamon roll itself. To be blunt, it wasn't very good and didn't taste fresh. It had a slightly stale taste to it that made me think it had been made a day or so before the purchase date. It also wasn't very warm. The toppings were fine but it seemed like they were being used to disguise the vaguely chemical taste of the roll which really wasn't accomplished. I've belatedly realized that the establishment is entirely vegan, so they have to make up for a lack of dairy and eggs with substitutes, most of which are chemical in origin. I still would have given them a try, but I would have had lower expectations and been more aware as I have several severe food allergies that are normally linked to vegan food (namely coconut). If you're a vegan or like vegan options, I'd recommend giving them a shot and seeing if you like them. However, I won't be returning. read more

The Rotunda was a prime location with lots of parking options. Vibrant area as well. HOWEVER: cinnamon rolls themselves felt under baked, and a little doughy. The dough was really gooey. I ordered the S'mores cookie dough and caramel apple cinnamon bun for my drive to northern VA. Both lasted in high 80's heat in my car with the windows down, about 1.5 hrs. Both were easy to eat and not messy. And most of all, both were delicious! This is the vegan cinnamon bun shop we always needed and now have. To those complaining about the price, remember these are vegan, gourmet cinnamon buns. This isn't Cinnabon or something you get from the store. I have visited Cinnaholic locations in Atlanta, and the Dallas area and they rolls were amazing. Visited the Baltimore location and first try there was a 35 minute wait. Second try only 15 minutes, but they were dry and had very little frosting. When my husband asked for more he was told that he couldn't add more. Great place to get your vegan sweet tooth fix. The buns are always warm, soft and fresh. You would never even know that they were vegan. They taste comparable to any cinnamon buns on the market but without the massive sugar spike. The customer service is great. I was offered to join their frequent shopper club which I absolutely declined but i appreciated the offer. I ordered a basic bun with cake batter topping. They offer a variety of other toppings and frosting flavors. You can chose your own toppings or have one of their specialty creations. The prices were decent too. They have you in and out with in a few minutes. You won't be disappointed. read more
