I really want this business to understand, there are safer places to eat vegan food in downtown Baltimore. I was in Baltimore for a convention and decided to go here instead of the vegan restaurant located in Harbor Place. When I'm spending my money and go out of my way to get here to support a black owned business, I feel it's rude not to speak to me. Especially when you only have 2 customers in this place.I'll never return. When anyone comes in, greet them and smile.

Absolutely phenomenal. I plan to try everything on the menu. But starting with the chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce was top tier. Like whatttttt. This ish was so good.

Just wow! I eat a lot of vegan food. I thought I have had it all. And then I took a bite of this cheesesteak and my mind was blown! When you enter Refocused Vegan it has such a cool and contemporary look to it. Everything looks sleek and clean with accents of vibrant green. They have a full bar which is surprising to see at a vegan spot. To order food you select the items you want from a touchscreen pad. The menu has so many options including burgers, loaded Mac and cheese, sandwiches, salads, and smoothies. I went full on junk food and got the truffle Parmesan fries and cheesesteak. The bread of the cheesesteak was pillowy soft. I absolutely loved how easy it was to bite into it and it never got soggy. The cheesesteak protein was so well marinated! And there was a pink sauce on this sub that was heavenly. I wanted to drink that sauce I loved it so much. The sauce was more impressive to me than the well melted vegan cheese. This sub also had a good amount of peppers and onion. A complete meal in one sub. I have had many renditions of a cheesesteak, and the flavors on this was so unique I believe this is my favorite cheesesteak to date. It was hard to stop eating after I got full because I loved every bite I took. The French fries were such a winner! They were crispy and so well seasoned with Parmesan and truffle flavors. The portion size of the small side was huge!! I had a lot leftover that I got to enjoy reheated later. My friend ordered the Mac and cheese and I got to sample that. Their Mac and cheese is amazing! A lot of vegan Mac and cheeses have a chunky dry sauce. This Mac and cheese actually looked like Mac and cheese with a silky smooth cheese coating and great flavor. I would definitely order this as a side next time or even try the loaded Mac and cheese: Overall I am so impressed with Refocused Vegan. Food was fantastic. Wait time was extremely reasonable. They have plenty of seating indoors. I only have positive things to say about this business and will certainly be back.

I had passed by refocused vegan often and it looked good so wanted to try it out so my friend and i did. you order and pay through the ipad and then your order is called when ready. i got the loaded fries and my friend got the philly cheesesteak. the loaded fries were average - they were a nice portion size but needed more flavor and the toppings and the fries never connected. my friend said they're philly cheesesteak was very good decent vegan option in downtown baltimore but there are other options as well

Great spot! It is right in the heart of Baltimore so expect to pay for metered parking. I picked up my food and found a spot right outside for 5 mins. The food is amazing! I read some reviews talking about how the price is high and would have to disagree. I ordered the vegan chicken sandwich, small mac and cheese, and fries. The meal cost me about $29 with tip and honestly it was enough for two people, which means about $14.50 per person. That is a reasonable cost for a meal! The portions are large! I had to order the Mac and cheese after reading all the reviews. It was tasty but if you are expecting a Mac and cheese comparable to the classic dish with actual cheese you will be disappointed. They do their own take on the classic dish and the seasoning is amazing. Also I almost forgot to mention that the staff were friendly and welcoming when I came in. Overall a great place!

I have been wanting to go here for quite a long time, and finally got a chance to go. While I think the prices are a little high (but then again, a lot of vegan restaurants are), it was soooooooooooo worth it! The thing that draws me in at any vegan restaurant is if I see buffalo wings (or drummies) on the menu, so I knew for sure that was what I was going to order. It costs $10 for 4 wings, or you can get 4 wings and fries for $12, so I decided that was the better deal and, boy, was I right. It came with way more fries than I was expecting. I also got the mac n cheese because that's another thing that's hard for me to pass up. But the wings and fries were so filling I was only able to manage a couple bites of the mac n cheese before saving it for another meal. The buffalo wings lived up to the hype I was giving it, I highly recommend it! Also, the mac n cheese is super flavorful! It's not just plain mac n cheese, they add some sort of seasoning to it. I honestly cannot wait until the next time I get to eat here again!

The plan was to try them yesterday, but they're closed on Monday's. Thanks to a meeting, I found myself in this area today. I placed my order online so it would be ready when I arrived. Soon as I walked in I was greeted and handed my food. I ordered the cheesesteak, Parmesan truffle fries and mac & cheese. Everything was great! You can really taste the flavor jumping off the food. I will definitely be back!

Cauliflower bites with fries. Enough for 2+ if you order another app. Delicious.

Great comfort food. We ordered the loaded mac n cheese, cauliflower bites w/fries and a chocolate shake. All of the portions were big, served rocket hot and delicious. Quick friendly service. Delicious. I will definitely return.

Green Initiative throughout this new & busy 100% Plant Based Vegan Cafe. Looks more like a lounge with the lighting fixtures & a green lacquered bar which will soon become the Fresh Juice/Smoothie station. It's a family affair taking orders & cooking in the open kitchen. Per usual, my gluttony arises when I'm in newbie mode & ended up ordering the Sample Patter (Mac/Cheese, Nuggets & Fried Shrimp) & a Cheesesteak Sandwich. In which the Owner had the Kitchen split in two & placed on Gluten Free Bread for me. My Nuggets were tossed in Buffalo Sauce which came out per my liking. I'm not keen on the Fried Shrimp versions, yet it was prepared & battered well. The accompanying "Tartar" Sauce had a sweet & tangy taste & used it on my Cheesesteak. Along for the journey was my Meat Eater BFF, in which I summoned him to sample each of the selections. He was content with all except the Fried Shrimp. The scratch made recipes extends just a handful of selections. Great concept, prices & location...in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood, a designated National Historic Landmark District. Not sure why Refocused opens at 5P (2P on the weekends), all good I'll be back for another visit. Closed on Mondays.

As a non-vegan foodie I wasn't sure what to expect when I came here to Refocused Vegan. What I chose to order was the Loaded Vegan Italian Sausage topped w/cheesesteak and drizzled with their in-house vegan Chipotle Mayo. I have no regrets about my experience and the flavors were definitely great. They also have great drinks and smoothies. The (3P) Sangria and Hennessy HEN-demic punch was my fav. I even bought one to go! Whether you're vegan or not you should definitely come here and check it out. The music is awesome too.

Overpriced, low quality ingredients and its almost as if they intentionally made my order terrible. Ate it because I didnt eat for 8 hours and was desperate. Way too much condiments used. Food was disgusting, soggy and gross.

For a full vegan place, it definitely isn't bad. Would I go back?...probably not. The restaurant atmosphere is extremely weird and off putting. I think its from the extreme white everywhere and the openness. My favorite part pf the whole experience was ordering on the screen lol, I think more places should have the same set up! The food was pretty good. My sister told me the chicken sandwich was a close second to the best vegan chicken sandwich shes had so far...and she eats a lot of them. We tried the crab cake sandwich...it tasted yummy and like a crab cake but it was so thin...definitely not fully satisfying. I loved the sauce they used, i wanted more to eat with the fries which were extremely greasy in my opinion...we ended throwing most of them out and i love french fries. The mac and cheese was good but not a mac and cheese more a Primavera and herb sauce. Overall, if you are vegan and want some "fast food' alternatives this is a good option for sure.

Upon my first…read morevisit, I ordered the kale ceasar salad and a butternut squash soup. 2nd visit was the breakfast burrito. Both times, the service was impeccable at the bar, and while being formally seated. As I'm not a vegan, I do frequent vegan places in hopes of finally transitioning, so I understand flavor profiles and what to expect/not expect. The salad dressing was a bit skimpy and the croutons were extremely hard. I asked for some honey to add to the sauciness of the dressing, which in hindsight, I should have just asked for more dressing. I've had vegan ceasar salad dressing before that somehow mimicked that anchovie-taste, which is what I expected here. For the soup, I had my mouth ready for a sweet savory taste, but instead it was salty savory which altogether changed my viewpoint on how this soup can be made. I asked for chili oil to give it a little pop. Onto the breakfast burrito - a sight to see! I'm not a breakfast burrito girl, but a friend let me taste her leftovers and I thought I HAD to have my own. At first bite, I can say it was a whole YES. My only ask was more seasoning, and to have cooked the tofu down just a bit more so it didn't give the consistency of a runny egg. I asked for sriracha, chili oil and ketchup to seal the deal. I highly suggest offering at least one of these sauces/oil as a free accoutrement, instead of charging per oz. Ambiance is always warm and inviting. The dark wood gives a homelike vibe and the music is on point. I will definitely be back for the breakfast burrito in hopes of more fun sauces on the side!

Pre order was easy, I did it all via my phone a couple of weeks in advance. Pickup was also super easy, I found parking right on the street, went in, and had my food all in my hands in less than ten minutes. The slider tray consisted of 10 Sliders. There were two each of Meatball Parm, French Onion Melt, Cheeseburger Cheesesteak, BBQ Jackfruit and Oyster Chick'n. All of them were well done, held up in transit and tasted good as leftovers. That being said, the BBQ Jackfruit were my favorite. If you ever have the chance to get your hands on her BBQ Jackfruit, definitely do it! The sliders came with three sides: a container of Bourbon Baked Beans, Traditional Mac Salad and Chips and Chili Queso These were also well done. Price wise, My Mamas Vegan seemed comparable to other vegan places in the area. I think the slider tray cost about 40 dollars and I, eating everything myself, had leftovers for days. I can't speak on the customer service because I didn't talk to anyone. I ordered at the kiosk and they called my number and that was it. I paid $19.45 for my meal. I order a side of falafels (3) and the street bowl with beef flank, tzatziki, and mild red pepper sauce. The falafels were way too crispy. I feel like compared to other falafels I've tried these were on the hard side. Thankfully I had some tzatziki sauce to dip them in, if I didn't, they would have been a little hard to eat. The flavor was okay but the texture was not appealing. I really wanted to get beef shawarma but they were out so I opted for the beef flank. I wish I would have just gotten chicken instead. The bowl came with rice and a lettuce salad that was underneath the beef. I'm not sure if the lettuce had arugula in it as well, but the lettuce gave sort of a bitter taste which I did not care for at all. Did not taste good so I would add a lot of tzatziki sauce to it to cut down on the bitter taste. The beef was okay, nothing to rave about. I was just very underwhelmed with my food. Not sure if I would give it a try again. If so, I would definitely get something else or build my own bowl maybe. Try it for yourself and see how you like it.

We sampled a variety of dishes, including the Caesar salad, Hangover Burger, bacon egg and cheese biscuit, Elvis pancakes, and a quesadilla--and overall, the experience was a solid 4/5. The Caesar salad stood out with its fresh ingredients and what tasted like homemade croutons. The Hangover Burger was cooked perfectly to order and packed with flavor, though the garlic fries it comes with are very garlicky--something to keep in mind if you prefer a milder side (you may want to request plain fries). The bacon egg and cheese biscuit was simple but delicious, while the Elvis pancakes--topped with bacon and peanut butter--were a standout and a must-try if you're feeling indulgent. The quesadilla was also very good, paired with an impressively flavorful broth that elevated the dish. To top it off, the iced coffee was bold and strong, but still smooth and refreshing. One thing to note: street parking is limited in the area, so plan accordingly when visiting. Overall, Golden Key West offers great food, solid portions, and a cool atmosphere that's definitely worth checking out.
