We will never purchase from Ciocca again. We purchased a service agreement that is not worth the $ we paid. The service department does not communicate nor fix the problem in full. I initially thought it was a pleasant experience buying my used 2006 Toyota Tacoma from Ciocca Subaru. I tested everything and asked if there were any problems with the car. They told me no. I bought it during the winter, so when I tested the A/C I just assumed it worked. Once summer hit I realized it was completely shot and that the compressor needed to be replaced. This is a very expensive repair and set me back quite a bit. I find it very hard to believe that Ciocca did not check to make sure the A/C worked on a vehicle they buy and sell. So either they lied to me or they are negligent. Either way I am very disappointed and will never recommend someone buy a car from them. Buyers beware. If you decide to go here, double and triple check everything is running ok on your car because they will not tell you if there is a problem. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. We were told that a car was available, so my husband and I both took vacation days from work to drive from VA to PA to purchase the car. Halfway through the trip we got a call that there was an issue with the engine and the car was no longer available, even though we had confirmed the day before that everything was set. Although he was busy that night, he gave me as much attention as he could under the circumstances. Be careful of what you read on their ads, as they are misleading. they just copy and paste from one car to another, for instance i went there hoping to buy a car that said it had internet radio, like all of theirs do, well being rushed for time, its partly my fault i didn't look but was a touch screen radio, so i assumed it was there somewhere. well anyways bought the car, brought home for wife, as we started to look theres no internet radio.so the guy i negotiated price with said well you got a good deal, so apparently im stuck putting an external sirius radio in, not what i wanted to do for a new car. so as i tell my friends, you'll be sorry if you go there, i will rather pay a few hundred more and go to the other dealers that are honest. read more

So today I drove all the way to Ciocca Subaru only because they said they would be able to get me into a car even with how flipped we are on our truck. We'll drive down there, test drive the car I want and waste 5 hours just to be told it was not able to work out. Love my crosstrek. The salesman was knowledgeable, answered my questions, kept in touch while I was waiting for delivery of the car I ordered. When it arrived, he patiently showed me how to use every accessory. The finance department is a totally different experience, beware. He spoke very fast so he was hard to understand. He said I had only one chance to buy extended warranty but could cancel the next day , which. I did. Refund took 6 weeks, was not for full amount. Waiting for balance after speaking to supervisor today. Even his explanation of the Ciocca promise (didn't know I was paying for that) was not correct- he "forgot" a new car includes 2 free oil changes. Sorry salesforce, if not for the financial, I'd give you 5 stars. Hope the service department meets sales department standards. read more

I leased my Subaru at Ciocca and I recently moved to New Jersey from Pennsylvania. I drove up there to get a front bracket and license plate frame because in New Jersey you are required to have both front and back license plates. After I purchased it, I asked if they can put the plate on for me because, one it's a lease, and two there never was a plate on there and I couldn't see where the marks are where it goes. I was told that they don't have the right tools to put the front plate on. That surprised me and I said don't you sell to people that live in New Jersey? The person said that in Pennsylvania, they are only obligated to put the rear plate on because it's a one plate state. I was totally blown away from this. I called another Subaru near where I work and told them and they gladly put my front license plate on at no charge. That Subaru that I went to was Flemington Subaru, and that's where I should have started from the beginning. I feel that I am not a valued customer at Ciocca, and if I knew then what I know now I would have shopped around. read more

I purchased a used car from Ciocca Subaru in May 2018. I bought it on a Monday and had to have it towed that Friday. They had the car for over a month and finally figured out that the gas gauge was frozen! Then the exhaust was extremely loud and an overwhelming exhaust smell was inside the car. I took it back to them and they said I needed a new exhaust pipe. I asked how it had passed inspection and I had only drove the car a couple hundred miles. They said I bought the car "As Is" and quoted me $895 to fix it. I took the car to a reputable exhaust repair place and within 15 minutes had a new exhaust pipe for $132! read more

I was only a shopper and not a buyer when I stopped in on 3/28/2016. I really didn't see me considering a Subaru, but had time to kill so I checked them out. I walked around the parking lot for 10-15 minutes and wasn't hassled by a flock of sales personnel. (first good sign) I then went into the dealership looking for a floor model, but they had none, due to construction. I was politely approached by a salesman, Christian, and welcomed to the dealership. He asked me basic questions and let me do the talking. He offered the basic vehicle info based on what I was looking for and sent me in a direction he thought I would be most happy. I was shown the Legacy and the Outback. This young man is a sales staff member less than a year and knew more about the product than the designer!!!! We did two test drives and conversation was mixed about the cars as well as personal life stories. This is what a REAL salesman is like. He got to know the customer for more than face value as did I with him. I knew right then and there if i was to buy a Subaru, this young man would earn my business. After this event I moved Subaru up to the top of my list for purchase consideration. If you are looking for a Subaru and don't want the typical car salesman hype and pressure, than look no further. It was a pleasure to deal with their personnel and i didn't get the typical Manager speech that you get at other dealerships. read more

Usually only let dealerships change oil and air filter until warranty runs out. Let this dealer rotate tires. Technician torqued every rim to over 120 ft. lbs. Vehicle spec. for the Forester is 89 ft.lbs. This can create many problems from metal stress to warped rotors. Took car back and problem was fixed and in the process both rear rims were scratched and gouged in the identical same pattern and in the same places. I thought it was caused by their car wash but was probably from tool used by the technician. I discovered this a few days later(should have inspected vehicle at the dealer...a learning experience for me going forward) In short the dealer refused to repair the rims. I fully expected as much. I will go elsewhere for service. It is a terrible shame and disappointing because we love the vehicle and our salesperson, Greg Fichter, was very pleasant and easy to work with. My son is home from the United States Air Force for 10 days over Christmas. We found an Impreza that he liked. They had us in there (in a desk by the service dept of all places) forever running credit. Sales girl was nice enough but I have no idea why they even have you deal with a sales person as they have zero authority over making a deal. The finance guy came out and told me how his brother is Police like me and some other military connection in his family so I figured he was looking through help us out. He sent us home saying it was too late for a reply from the bank which is fine. He lead me to believe we would be good to go in the morning and will call at 1030am. They called late saying the deal was a no go and we can basically kick rocks. We went a few days later and got an easy deal elsewhere. Then the sale girl calls days later and wants talk???? Uh no. Had a horrible experience at Ciocca Subaru today. Recently I found a Honda Civic 2012 on TrueCar that belonged to this dealership. As with all TrueCar requests you can check whether a vehicle is available and get a confirmation. Once I received that, the following day I called up the internet sales manager in the morning to confirm if the vehicle was actually available and if it could be checked out. I set up an appointment to see the car early afternoon the same day. I live an hour away from this dealership and informed that I am genuinely interested and set time aside from work to check out the car. When I was literally 5 minutes away from the dealership I got a call that someone is checking out the car and they may buy it by the time I arrive. Once I arrived I was told that the car was just sold. Wow! Thanks for informing me so promptly! This must have been the fastest used car deal in history! Do you really want me to believe that someone literally just bought the car as soon as they saw it? Anyone who has ever bought a used car knows that it takes at least 2-3 hours to see, test drive and inspect a car. I am not even counting the time it takes for negotiations, paper work, financing, etc. In the worst case scenario, if I have to believe your story, you could have given me the heads up at least 1-2 hours before and I wouldn't have wasted my day coming to see the car. Now I have a few possible explanations of why they may have retracted the car sale: 1) the car was a lemon (as I have seen in some of their other reviews) - so they didn't want to risk selling it 2) the price was may be "too good" and they were not getting a chance to fully gouge the customer. In any event, this is not how you treat your customers to do business. I appreciate the sales guys who tried their best to play the script and started showing me other options to "make up" for my inconvenience. Thanks but no thanks. I didn't come to see any other cars and I wouldn't have wasted my time coming all this way to check out some inferior or unreasonable options. I suggest that you get your story straight next time -- may be say that the car was getting some repairs done, had it's bumper fall off, or some other BS. Just don't say that a used car is sold as soon as someone saw it - love at first sight doesn't happen that often. Please don't harass a customer or waste their time and please be more transparent in your dealings. read more

The decision of switching from Hyundai to Subaru was a hard decision for me personally, but my cars salesman, Jason, really made the choice realistic and easy. I loved how human (not pushy or sales like) and understanding he was being because I didn't initially know anything about Subaru's. I defiantly enjoyed this experience and love my Impreza! Do NOT buy from this dealership. They are liars and don't provide their customers any respect. The dealer Jim Schin sold us a CPO car with the precondition that they would remove the smell of cigarette smoke from it. He charmed us and promised us that the smell would be removed, said encouraging things like: "they do this all the time", and "there was one person who was allergic and we removed the smell". Plan was to bring the car back for a deep cleaning and we did. We were prepared to leave car they for entire day for a thorough detailing and cleaning, but they spent at most two hours with car before telling us it was done and "smell was removed". We picked up the car and still reeked, but had chemical smell and they said the chemicals just need to work more. 24 hours later smell is as bad as before. We've now been calling to talk to Jim as he promised it is on him when we first drove away, now he won't even take our calls because the sale is done. They promised a bomb, but in reality all they did was spray it with an odor eliminator. They didn't even live up to their own 0we owe." This is a dishonest dealership and a dishonest salesmen. Two stars because it wouldn't let me select one and a half. The two stars is because the customer service here has been awesome. Sales people have been great. The entire buying the car experience was made to be an enjoyable process with Ciocca Subaru. So, let's move on from there. As listed in the Ciocca mission statement, our goal is to put you behind the wheel of the new or used vehicle that is right for you. The outcome of that for the past ten months had been random check engine lights, a loose battery connection wire which has caused my car to stall in the middle of an intersection, a quick run to the hospital because my 5 year old fell at his grandparents only to come back out to a car that was DOA, a hesitating engine start, and now what appears to be a $2200 burned out clutch on a power train warranty and a Ciocca extended warranty that won't cover it. My 2014 Chevy Cruz is a nice car. I would have never imagined the trouble that had been graced upon me with this vehicle. As I write this review, the Ciocca Chevy & Subaru service department are working on possibly bringing me some relief to this situation. I am currently in there loaner. I purchased a 2015 pre-owned Subaru from this dealership. The salesman and financing employee were very friendly, courteous, and not pushy. Within 7 months, my tires (that were new, or at least 90% tread) were inexplicably worn out. My mechanic told me that the car couldn't have been aligned before I bought it with how bad the tires wore out. I purchased 4 new tires, and promptly called Ciocca to talk with the used sales manager to voice my concern. He was defensive throughout the conversation and provided no help at all. To give context to this review, I am diligent with maintenance, and drive very gently on my vehicles because I routinely get 200k+ out of my vehicles. There is NO WAY they performed an alignment on my car before purchase. As I talked to the manager, I politely expressed my concerns about the unsafe condition of the tires within a few months of purchase. This vehicle is the primary driver for my pregnant wife. I made the MISTAKE of TRUSTING Ciocca with the safety of my family. I told him how this left a bad taste in my mouth and opened a dialogue as to how we can make this right. Honestly, I figured if they said "bring the car down, and we will do an alignment on it for you" I would have rebuilt some respect for this dealership. Unfortunately, no such arrangement happened, and quite honestly I wouldn't trust them to do my alignment anyways. To the dealer's credit, they are high volume and that allows them to have decent prices. Until this fiasco, I was very happy with the value of my vehicle. Purchased a 2015 WRX from this dealership. We previously had excellent service from this dealership on my wife's Tribeca which Faulkner Subaru in Bethlehem refused to look at. Ciocca fixed it the first time as well as found other problems which they covered under warranty (starter was going bad). The service was friendly, the negotiations typical, the facility is beautiful, and their customer support is top notch! As the WRX, at the time of writing this review, are very hard to get, the size of their dealership allotted them a few more WRXs than most others. I feel a got a good deal compared to TrueCar. The only negative was during the signing of the paper work, that's when GAP insurance and this protection and that protection is offered. Do it before making any deals. If feels like you're cornered as all of these decisions must be made prior to completing the deal. I took a Star off because of these last minute negotiations. read more

My experience was ok, but far from great. My situation was not the norm, I was trading in a vehicle I bought at a different Ciocca dealership a few weeks before and I could not stand the vehicle and needed something else. I decided to try Ciocca Subaru because everyone raved about their service. I took a massive beating on the vehicle I traded in, I expected a beating, just not the massive one I took. This led them to having me lease a vehicle for a considerably higher monthly amount of money and they salesman was somewhat unhappy with the fact this was not the normal "come in and buy a car" sale he was used to. The salesman was clearly annoyed that everything took a few hours and even made a comment about having me send in other family members to see him so he "could spend 4 hours with them as well." Vehicles sales take a while, I didn't appreciate feeling like I was bothering him by taking up his time, considering he said he was paid 100% by commission. After the deal was made, in 2 weeks, I have received a dozen emails that seem to be nonstop, multiple phone calls, and even text messages from them. Some of the phone calls were because they messed up my contract and it had to be re-done a few days later. They did come out to me for this, but it still took time out of my work-day to go and re-sign everything. All in all, I feel everything did not live up to what everyone says about Ciocca Subaru. read more

Almost everything that could've went wrong did go wrong. No one here cares about you at all. 1) They did not budge AT ALL with the pricing of my car. 2) They low balled me big time with my trade in (typical) 3) They did not offer ANY extras with my car (for example complimentary maintenance etc) 4) I ran into a few problems with my car and the sales person completely ignored me, gave me an attitude that I contacted him, and then when returning there he never even looked at me and acted like he had never seen me before. 5) The financing is a scam, they gave a very high rate even though I had excellent credit and play the "monthly payment" card rather than give you the best APR/term. Currently refinanced (thank God) 6) Very ignorant sales person, could not comment on any of the car's features or tech, and also misled me that I would not need to bring my lien title for my trade in, only to find out that they refused to send me my plates for the car because THEY DID NEED IT, and my temporary plates ran out before I even knew what the situation was. They only care about money, they want to sell you the worst deal, bring them more people for them to screw over, but actually neglect you as a customer. I only came here and not a closer Subaru dealer because I thought they were larger and had "great reviews" but I guess their customer base are too manipulated to realize this place screws you over big time! Very disappointed in my whole experience with Ciocca Subaru!!! We bought a 2015 Legacy from them and after one big mistake they made they gave us a "We Owe" for free oil changes and 5 years of free State inspections. Every time we went for an oil changes or inspection they would try and charge us, so we had to explain the situation and it tied us up for an extra 15-25 minutes a trip. Last week we dropped off the car to get the inspection done and we got a courtesy car. On the way to return the car we stopped at WAWA to fuel the car. We then received a "Courtesy" call from Nichole to let us know they were charging $9.00 for fuel. Now on the contract that we signed it reads "You are required to return the vehicle with at least the same amount of fuel as when rented. Which we did. I called and left a message Friday and still haven't received a call. So much for joining the "Family"!!!! read more

NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Once they get your money they will treat you like garbage. I purchased a brand new 2014 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid from Bob Pavone thinking that I was going to be treated well at Ciocca. Boy was I wrong about that. At 1,500 miles I got a bad door ding on the passager side of the car. I brought it down to Ciocca to get an oil change & an estimate for the repair. When I went to pick up the car they did the oil change & not the estimate. I contacted the service manager who told me to send pictures of the damage & he would give me an estimate. He gave me an estimate of only $600. I contacted my insurance company & they said that they wanted an estimate on paper. I went back to the dealership & the $600 estimate more than doubled to $1300. They said the reason was because they didn't see how bad it was. If they would have done it right the 1st time I bought it down then we wouldn't have this issue. I tried contacting the owner Mr Ciocca to see if they would honor the original price that I was given. After numerous calls I finally got in touch with him. He refused to honor it & told me to take my business elsewhere. I wish that they would have told me that before I bought the car. This car is nothing but a lemon for many reasons. The cars Bluetooth hasn't worked from day 1 & still doesn't work to this day. I was told by Mr Parr that Samsung phones don't work with Subaru cars. Then I was told that since I had an older Samsung phone that that was the reason why. So I bought a new phone & it still didn't work. Next my car spent a month in the garage because it had a bad transmission & inverter. Then it spent a week in the garage for a bad break sensor. It went in the garage constantly because the dashboard sensors would light up like a Christmas Tree, spending a week or two in the garage. Recently, I have been having issues with the batteries. I was driving to work on Black Friday & the whole entire car shut down leaving with no power breaks or steering. I almost was taken out by an 18 wheeler. Then the same issue occurred to my wife 4 months later. This time she was almost hit by a pickup truck with my kids in the car. Do to the fact that I filed a Lemon Law case because of my Bluetooth against Subaru has meant that Ciocca has refused to allow me or my car on it's property & I've been blacklisted from other surrounding dealerships. When I left a bad review about Ciocca on Yelp several months ago General Manager Kyle Egge contacted me & told me if I had anymore issues with the car to let him know & he would make sure that they got taken care of. When the car broke down with my wife I called the dealership & let them know that I was bringing it down because the batteries were bad. The tow truck driver picked it up & drove it to Ciocca. When he got there they refused to allow him to drop it off. I tried calling Kyle in regards to the matter & have left him numours messages & to date have not received a call back from him. So please don't believe any of the comments left by Ciocca because they are nothing but lies. When I was at the dealership the last time I was there I went up to Bob Pavone & he was nothing but nasty to me. My wife & I recently talked to a cop who knew Mr Ciocca. He said that he was the type of guy who would fire employees who mistreated customers back in the day. It is evident that this no longer holds true seeing as to the fact on how terribly my family & I have been treated. You should follow Mr Ciocca's own advice & take your business elsewhere unless you like being treated like garbage. Let me start by saying that I am not an easy guy to please. It is not too often that we come across car dealerships that we rave about. It is also not too often that we can say that "my last car buying experience was pleasant". I drove to Ciocca Subaru which is at least 85 miles from my place in New Jersey. I drove past many other Subaru dealerships - some of whom are only about a few miles away. The reason is plain and simple. Ciocca offered what I wanted that others have not. Best price and no non-sense transparency in the whole process. After going back and forth with a few dealerships in the area and meeting less than honest people, I ended up with Ciocca Subaru - thanks to Google. Landed on their website and started chatting online with a gentleman by name Jeff Lobalbo. I already test drove the vehicle here in NJ and knew precisely what I wanted with what bells and whistles. So, the only things that were left to discuss were a) new vehicle price b) trade-in price. Jeff was great in coordinating with me and his Sales Manager Eric Dedig. After few emails with Jeff, as promised, he shared with me via email the dealer screens which show the precise breakdown numbers. I was satisfied but had a few lingering questions. He promptly put me on phone with Eric. I believe that Eric is the Gold standard for what every Sales Manager should aim to be. Eric is extremely decent, never loses his smile, and always composed in his conversation with you. Totally not one of those "in your face Managers" trying to intimidate you. He clarified my questions and I landed at the dealership couple of hours later. At this point, Eric introduced me to Mariely Rivera, a sales person that genuinely is a good person and cares for customers. She made sure I test drove the car, took time to explain every little detail about the vehicle, and checked on me a few times to ensure that I was comfortable. I wanted a remote starter installed and the time was 6PM but she coordinated with parts and service and got that taken care. I liked working with her. Only thing left was to discuss the trade-in. I believe that Eric finally offered me the price that was palatable to me on the trade-in. Eric and I shook the hands and he directed me to Finance. Finance Manager Mike Van Note is a young gentlemen who you would not think is a Finance Manager if I did not tell you. Why? Unlike most FM's, Mike is a cool guy. He is non-pushy, non-intimidating, and takes his time to explain everything on paper and if he does not have an answer, he will get the answer for you. At 9:30PM and on a cold evening, I was done with Finance at this point and to my surprise, Mariely already transferred my stuff in the other car to the new vehicle. How sweet. Many thanks Mariely. She went over all the details about the car one more time and that's it - I drove back in my new car. I have not come across many car dealerships that genuinely care for customers, not out there waiting for a bait and switch moment. In my experience, every one of the folks I mentioned above is thoroughly decent and pleasant to work with and sincerely made an effort to ensure that the customer is satisfied and happy at the dealership.
