Despite my efforts to communicate and arrive within a reasonable timeframe, the receptionist was very unhelpful and very rude. I was late for 10 min only, upon my arrival at 4:55 pm, I was told that I couldn't be accommodated because another customer had been scheduled for 5 pm. She was lying, I was there at 4:55 as I mentioned and no one had arrived after me, and it seemed very unfair that my appointment time was given to someone else. The lack of communication and customer service left me feeling very upset and very much disappointed. I believe it's important for businesses to handle these situations with professionalism and empathy. I hope that the European Wax Center can address these issues to ensure a better experience for their customers in the future. I believe that individuals like her, who are very rude, dont know how to talk to customers can tarnish the company's reputation. Starting today, I will be informing all my family and friends about this situation, and we have collectively decided to discontinue using their services. She says ok that they would be able to do it right now. That said, I go in and pick my colors and before sitting down I show her an evil eye design that I would like to be done on my ring finger. She says she can do it no problem. So! I get the base of my nails done by another woman. After they dry Jane takes over to do the design. When I arrive to her table she looks at the design and asks me do I care about the colors. I said it doesn't matter, she can do whatever colors so long as it's the same design. She does it and leaves my finger nail smudged and totally unlike the design I provided. I asked her if she could re-do it because it was smudged from the picker she was using to make the dots. She calls me terrible and says no one else complains. At this point, I am in complete shock because she herself sees the issues of the nail polish being smudged and missing paint and thinks it's acceptable. So I said since I am terrible, I would like to leave and stop this service entirely. (Because who really wants to give their money to someone who would call them terrible because of their poor work as a first response.) So then she pushes her seat back, grabs acetone and pours it over my finger nails and then tosses a cotton ball onto hand rest? Couldn't even hand it to me like a civilized person. It was nuts. Now as I'm walking out to leave I try to take a business card so I can leave review. She then scatters around the salon to snatch all the business cards that she could find laying around and goes "we don't have business cards." Haha, so I just look at her bewildered and grabbed one as I walked out the door. This experience was simply outrageous. My advice, don't go to this salon and if you do, avoid Jane. I've only gone for waxing Brazilian & full leg at first I was happy now I won't have to go downtown New York to get waxed and she was fast and painless during the process. However, upon having fun with my husband he noticed that I had tons of patches of hair on my buttocks and behind my thighs. I also noticed when doing the Brazilian she didn't even advise me to spread my cheeks so she can get in there and eliminate the hairs like they do in downtown NY. As a result I think that when it comes to waxing which is all I can comment on isn't her specialty she needs to work a bit more on that. It's a bummer I've already went twice but this confirmed it's a waste of time and money for me I rather go to downtown Ny where I know I'll get every piece of hair on my body removed.
