This is the trailhead and lots of people bring their dogs to go on or off leash as well as being a popular path for bicyclists. The base of the trail has an off leash dog area and I have been told that there is another one inside the park, which is awesome, though I didn't explore it today. There are very easy trails to walk along and feel like you're in nature and you are right at the bottom of the Garden of the Gods rock formations.

I was told I'd need to order a nail job just to access the steam room. Make it make sense. The concierge was genuinely lovely - but it felt like her hands were tied by management's outdated approach. She seemed to want to help more than the system would allow. The events department was, in my experience, a major disappointment. Communication felt disorganized and unresponsive. When I asked for a simple proposal, I was told they "couldn't possibly do that for every inquiry" - in 2025, when AI tools can generate a polished, customized proposal in minutes. I tested it myself using Canva and Claude with their own metrics. Took me four minutes. The resistance to modernizing felt deliberate. Outside of the top-tier suites - which are reasonably priced by Colorado standards ---this felt like a mediocre hotel calling itself a resort. It is not The Broadmoor. It is not a Four Seasons. Those places deliver hospitality with humanity. This felt more like a zombie party with a great view. My honest opinion? It feels like ownership is either disengaged, burnt out, or simply no longer pursuing excellence. That said - if you're a Colorado local, the 10% room discount is a nice touch. Choose your room wisely, skip on-site dining, and check out 503W nearby for great prices and actual atmosphere. For corporate events? I'd look elsewhere.

We had no idea there were no elevators. The front desk clearly saw that we had a stroller and a baby and they did not ask if we needed help with our luggage. My husband lugged up all our stuff up 3 flights of stairs to get to our room. I called Front desk to ask if there's any rooms in the main building (apparently, they have an elevator there) and they flat out told us that they were completely booked and were of no help. The room itself was fine, it was not worth the $$ paid. They really need to make renovations to this hotel for the price they're charging per night. It's not a "resort" by any means and definitely not worth the resort fee. The drinks at Elevations bar were not bad, but heavily overpriced. I'm sure the breakfast buffet was also overpriced for what you get. Overall, I would not stay here again.

All the staff is in revolt friendly and helpful. They have many horses and will pair you up with an adequate horse based on your size. I liked that the group size was smaller. Pro tip: The entrées looked pricey, which is why we stuck to snacking at the bar -- and after the fries came out, we were fine calling it there and eating elsewhere.
