Cool spot. Food was decent. Lighting was really dark and ventilation was a bit lacking. Th vibe is funky and Alice in Wonderful except you can't see the decor. Service was OK. I had the salad with grilled chicken, basic and flavors were as excepted. They do have Coors Banquet on draft, cool! If back, I'd go for a drink and that's it.

We are from Denver so we have never been there before but thought it was AWESOME. I had made a phone reservation earlier that week and when we showed up they didn't have our reservation. The hostess said she would squeeze us in somewhere. That was Great. Gannon was our server and when asked he gave great recommendations along with the most popular dishes. I had Bison Short Ribs my wife had Chicken Cordon Blu. Both were EXCELLENT! Awesome find!

A place of surreal Alice-in-Wonderland vibes, decent food, and very tasty cocktails. You're here for the experience as much as a good meal (though the meal is pretty good). FOOD: I had an Angus Ribeye, which was tasty and done to precisely the color I wanted, but really needed to be trimmed of fat and gristle better. My wife had the chopped salad the whiskey sticky ribs from the apps menu, and liked both of them a lot. Servings were generous. The drink end is where things shine. Their Sazerac was excellent. The "Espresso" Ol' Fashion was quite good. The signature White Rabbit Martini (complete with flaming marshmallow) was kind of gimmicky, but quite drinkable. SERVICE: Our waitstaffer was friendly, helpful, and showed up as often as we expected. The place draws a lot of patrons, even on weekdays, so reservations are highly recommended. We managed to get seated as walk-ins, but it was a bit iffy and it was at 4:30pm on a Tuesday. They are also strict on how long parties of a given size are allowed to hog a table. That makes sense for the number of diners, but still felt a bit off-putting (though the duration given for a party of 2, 90 minutes, was comfortable). AMBIANCE: That's why you're here of course, and from the sidewalk stairs leading down to the plethora of Alice-in-Wonderland artwork on the black walls, the atmosphere is thick and delightful. VALUE: Premium prices, though servings are generous and the quality is good. NET-NET: Definitely a worthwhile experience. I wouldn't mind going there again on a future visit to the Springs.

Incredible food in a most unique dining space. The space is dimly lit affording the diner a degree of privacy. Perfect for a date night. Both the food and the cocktails were worth the trip. Staff is professional and highly knowledgeable. Would definitely go again when in the area.

One of my favorite places! Loved the decorations and the drinks were creative. The best vegetarian food I have ever had. Love this place!

We had a pretty decent experience at The Rabbit Hole! It was a SUPER last-minute plan and we somehow got lucky walking in and grabbing seats at the bar. (If you're going on a weekend though, definitely make a reservation because I don't think that luck happens often) Food-wise, nothing totally blew my mind flavor-wise, but everything was still really solid and satisfying. It's more comforting and hearty than fancy or experimental, which honestly hit the spot. The portion sizes are HUGE, you absolutely get your money's worth. You won't leave hungry. I ordered a mocktail, my partner had one drink, and we both got entrees plus a dessert. Our total came out to around $100, which felt super reasonable for how much food we got and the overall experience. The space itself is whimsical and cute with great vibes, and it didn't feel overly overpriced at all. The staff was amazing and super attentive, which made the night even better. Would definitely go back

Amazing food and great vibe! Service was outstanding! Get there early and avoid the dinner rush.

We had dinner here while in town, and were so glad we came across it! It was a cute spot that you have to go down the stairs and find. I loved the overall vibe and atmosphere. It felt like a speakeasy. The goat cheese balls were AMAZING! I want to try to make them myself ha! Highly recommend for a starter. We also enjoyed our steaks- cooked perfectly and flavorful. Highly recommend trying this spot while in town!

Highly recommend this spot for dinner or honestly any meal. It was such a pleasant experience with beautiful artwork. I'm also obsessed with Alice in wonderland so I really appreciated this place. The theme is well done throughout the restaurant and menu. I recommend making a reservation as it does get very busy. Our server was phenomenal and all of the food was absolutely delicious. We both order the filet mignon and it was so tender and delicious.

This has been a must try spot for me. Ever since moving to Colorado Springs, I've been told, "go to rabbit hole!". So here we are... and yes, it is fantastic. I genuinely loved it! And at first, I'll be honest, I was a little worried... is the food even good? Are the cocktails balanced? The answer: yes. So my friend and I went and she got a Manhattan to start and I got the white rabbit martini. I loved my drink and thought it was well balanced--but if you don't like coconut rum, I'd stay clear from it. Though it's my personal favorite! We got bread as well to start. Then for dinner I got the duck and she got the truffle mac and cheese. She loved hers and I loved mine! The duck fell off the bone and was so tender. The black rice was interesting, but actually pretty flavorful. And I liked my broccolini! I would say this dish was really good and with the sauce? Maybe one of the best plates I've had since being in the springs. But dessert was the standout. The chocolate bomb was soooooo good. The mousse? Yum. I could eat that all day every day. It was magic. Our server was very nice. She was attentive and had a great personality! Our food came out very fast too and honestly, I thought we'd be there for awhile. But when a place gets as many guests as they do, I'm not surprised they have a good system. But we didn't feel rushed. Now let's talk about the vibes. That's probably the best part of this restaurant! I mean even the entrance is so freaking cool. You go underground and it feels like... well, the rabbit hole! I loved the decor and the fun vibes. Truly such a cool place. I can't wait to come back.

I definitely recommend making a reservation because we came on a Friday which was very fine and we had to make reservations for Saturday. Good thing there was availability for the next day. I will say that the concept is kind of cool, and I do love the vibe that he gives for Alice in Wonderland, but I was disappointed in the food. The service was decent, but they could train their servers to be a little better with tourist. The server we had was not very talkative and short in conversation. Pretty good as for the food, we had both a grilled fillet and the braised bison short ribs with little to no good things to say. I will say that the grilled fillet did have good flavor, but the potatoes and plate were very cold when the food came out. I don't like my food piping hot, but I would definitely love the potatoes and actual hot food was hot. Now for the breeze, short ribs, I will say that there was absolutely no flavor, the potatoes were also very cold and I just did not absolutely find anything satisfying in that plate. I could not finish my food and left disappointed. I did not bring it up to the attention since I was already a little frustrated and need to go look for dessert elsewhere. Definitely won't come here again

I've been here a few times - I don't know why it's taken me this long to review this place, Ambience: if I could give 10 stars, I would. The entrance is the coolest entrance ever. I'm not even going to try to explain it - just come see it for yourself! Food: obviously some things are better than others but I haven't ever been disappointed. Nothing has been sub-par yet. I keep coming back so that speaks volumes. Drinks: above and beyond. Just look at the pictures. Side note - they taste even BETTER than they look and they look AMAZING! Service: I have always had stellar service here at both the bar and table service. Servers and bartenders have been friendly and attentive - be sure to tip them well - they work hard! I do not see them sitting around. They stay busy and are always great at answering questions, making recommendations, or letting me know what I can and cannot have due to my many allergies. Kudos to to the staff! In conclusion, run don't walk to The Rabbit Hole! There is something for everyone here.

The Rabbit Hole Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - The Rabbit Hole

    Do you need a reservation?

    Yes, especially on the weekend.

Is here a pet friendly place for very quiet senior dog? Thank you.

No. There are no pets allowed here. There is no outside to this restaurant.

Is there a Happy Hour during the week?

Is this a family friendly place?

I wouldn't say so. It has the vibe of a lounge or classy club without the dancing and very fancy food. While they might like the decor it's pretty fancy for kiddos.

Is there a handicap entrance or are the stairs the only way in?

Yes there is an elevator that goes down to the restaurant. The entrance is on the building right next to the entrance on the side walk.…

    Is it noisy?

It can be, depending where you sit and how busy it is.

Is there a place for large group, like 15 people?

They can accommodate larger groups, but this place gets busy so you'll need to coordinate ahead of time.

    Is it wheelchair accessible?

    Yes

How late do they serve food?

    10-10:30pm

Are there any vegan options to make a rabbit proud? Or just the standard, "we can take the meat and cheese off and charge the same price" kind of thing?…

They have what they call "rabbit food" with some salad options.

    What is the dress code?

I feel comfortable in a sports jacket and tie, also in just nice jeans and a nice shirt. I wouldn't where shorts or sweats.

Are there non-alcoholic speciality drinks available?

Some of their Specialty drinks can be ordered "virgin ".

    Are kids allowed?

They are. But it really isn't a restaurant you'd bring kids. No one else brings them. The setting can be romantic or classy. Kids would ruin the atmosphere for others around. And probably your mood to lol.

Do you need a reservation for the bar?

No. It's first come, first serve.

Is it claustrophobic being in a basement? Good fire exits?

It was a little warm but spacious

    Is there a dress code?

    No

The mountain view outside the windows was gorgeous. Based on the ambiance inside the restaurant, it looked like a more upscale restaurant, which is why I can understand the dress code, but the vibe seemed quite casual. And I was surprised at how kid-friendly it was! There were multiple people there with little children. Our waiter was nice and attentive. For appetizers, we ordered the Trout Rillettes and baby gem salad. The trout was very creamy and the salad was underwhelming for $16... it may look big in the photo because of the angle but it was small and it reminded me more of a wedge salad. For dinner, I had the Seared Salmon with crab fried rice, it was underwhelming for the price, and my husband had the Seared Red Snapper and said it was "too fishy". He didn't finish it. When we arrived, there were multiple open tables right by the windows. I politely asked if we could sit at one of them, and the hostess immediately shut it down, saying those tables were assigned to certain servers. That may be how things work internally, but as a guest, it should not feel like you are being denied something that is clearly available, especially when you made the effort to request it ahead of time. What stood out even more than the refusal was the attitude. There was no warmth, no attempt to accommodate, and no sense of hospitality just a cold, dismissive interaction. First impressions matter, and this one set the tone for the entire experience. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for it. My country fried steak was dry and lacked any crispness, like it had been sitting out for a while instead of being freshly prepared. The potatoes had the same issue dry, stale, and not worth the price. Nothing tasted fresh. I will say our server was kind and tried to do a good job, and the view is undeniably beautiful. But a great location cannot carry an experience when the basics hospitality and food quality fall short. At the end of the day, this is not just about one table or one dish. It is about how guests are made to feel. People spend their time and money here expecting a welcoming experience, especially when celebrating moments or simply wanting to enjoy the setting. Being met with indifference and attitude instead of basic courtesy is disappointing. Think twice before booking here. A beautiful view means very little when the hospitality is poor and the food feels neglected. I hope management takes a serious look at how guests are treated from the moment they walk in and asks themselves a simple question: if you were the customer, would this experience feel acceptable?
