They clearly do not need your business. And they do not believe in customer service. As one of the few Star certified smog check locations in the area, they will treat you like just another number. After my car failed due to a catalytic converter issue (which is expensive and takes TIME to fix) they wanted to charge full price for a retest. Their discount within 15 days is nice, but not possible in every circumstance. If there was a REASON for this, it was not made known to me. Just a bored and unfriendly person telling me no. No extensions, no negotiations, no explanations, no compassion. If they hadn't dismissed me so rudely, I wouldn't have had such a negative experience. I wouldn't mind paying the full amount of a new test (which I will have to do at another shop anyway) if they had explained why or at least pretended to be nice about it. I was charged $125 for the smog check on my 1990 motorhome. When I asked the technician why the test was so expensive he said it was the price his boss told him to charge. I used to be a mechanic long ago and I went to school to get my smog check License (BAR97) I could tell the technician was having a hard time performing the test. His technique was very poor and my motorhome failed the smog check for the first time ever, and now I would need a retest. I was told that a retest would cost me an additional $40. So I called his boss. He and I had a well behaved conversation where I explained how overpriced his service was, but he clearly thinks his service is worth it and explained how he has to pass his costs on to the customer. Clearly, I had red flags going into this situation but I was in a hurry, and that's all an opportunistic shady business needs to price gouge customers. I recommend going elsewhere and do your homework, ask questions from lots of competing shops in your area. read more

Never in the 12 years of owning the vehicle have I been told I needed the sticker or been asked for it. Even called yesterday to verify coupon was still good for my jeep and was told yes. Arrived today and the gentleman working the counter told me it would be 60.00 because it was an SUV. No chose to stay as I was in a hurry to get this done, but did inform him about my conversation with somebody yesterday confirming the coupon. He informed me that I should have told him about the call earlier. So, it is 40.00 if you call first and let them know? Also got hit with a two dollar credit card fee LOL, so make sure you bring cash if you decide tibiae then. Coupon does not mention anything of SUV / Truck additional fees. Buyer beware. Decent joint. There's a small waiting room with a soda machine and a video arcade game that probably does not work. Smog check for my car was $45. I have a 2002 sedan. Didn't need star testing. Originally, I went to the place across the street, with the sign that says $19.99 for a smog check, but when I went by, the guy said it would be $31.95 or something and 1 hour wait. What a joke. Then why does the sign say $19? Anyway, he kept saying something and I couldn't understand what he was saying because he was mumbling. Instead of trying to rephrase or speak clearly, finally, after the third time he said FEES. It was because of the fees and certificate/ paperwork for the DMV. Well, $31 is still pretty cheap for the smog check, why not advertise that price on the side of their building. Yesterday I drove to Circle city smog check to have my RV smog. The younger gentleman working told me he cannot smog my RV because it's not the morning time. I noticed there were no other vehicles being smog and he was doing absolutely nothing. I don't know why he couldn't smog my vehicle. I bring all my vehicles to Circle city smog check and have never had any issues. The gentleman that used to work here was great. He was very respectful and accommodating and always gave me great customer service and respect. Today, I brought my RV to circle city smog to get a smog check. There was a younger gentleman working instead of the man who used to work here. He seems like he hates his job. He was very slow motion and looked irritated when I asked him any questions. I have a 32 foot rv and He seemed very irritated when I asked him if he can help me get out of the parking lot. When I'm ready to get any of my vehicles smogged again I will check and see if the other gentleman is working. If he is not working, I will go somewhere else. The proves was that I was in and out very quick. That was because there was nobody else being smog. When he first took me in I failed cause of a minor gas leak and he was right then I got the car fixed and came back.When I pulled through there was a customer ahead of me and before he took me in he asked if I could come in the following day cause he had something do to and I said I couldn't. He then told me to wait and he messed with my car so a code could come up. Totally messed with my car so he could leave right away before closing hours. (My friend is a mechanic and he checked my car there's nothing wrong with it no lights or codes came up when he checked it.) He chargers full price even if you fail don't come here at all because if he has something to do he will turn you down. (After all retest is 10$) he will turn 10$ whenever he has something to do. If I could give this person who took advantage of my mother today 0 stars I would. We received a smog check at this place on 7/29/2018 to a delightful gentleman. Unfortunately, the vehicle did not pass smog due to a new battery being installed the same day (from Costco). The gentlemen's response was not to worry, put 250 miles on the car and bring it back within 20 days for a $10 retest. We thanked him and began the 250 mile journey. Today, 8/7/2018, my mother returned with the original receipt and information alone. She was told she had to pay full price for the smog retest. My mother asked why? As there is clearly a stamp on our original receipt with the other workers signature stating "One Free Retest within 20 Days", however he signed it to show he would charge $10. I have the pictures of this signed document. My mother just wanted everything over with, at this point he asks for cash payment only!!! He tells her in order to charge her card, he must charge an additional $2.00 for their credit card fee. This is so unacceptable and I will be sure to share this information on all streams and I will be back to possibly take legal action against their initial "One Free Test..." stamp. I do not like women being taken advantage of by shops like this. I have included pictures and I suggest going to any of the many smog star certified centers that are in the area. There is one across the street as well. Do not fall for their coupon. If they have any dignity they will apologize and honor their initial signed document. Do Not take advantage of people's kindness.
