Buc-ee's certainly embodied that, and then some. For starters, I didn't know there could be that many kinds of jerky. A jerky wall spanning one entire side of the grocery area competed with a stand serving their popular brisket sandwiches. The buck toothed beaver mascot is charming enough, but seeing it printed on everything from onesies to throw pillows to mugs had me wondering how big of a Buc-ee's superfan could one be? Apparently devoted enough to sustain an entire merchandise empire. The food ailes were just as robust. Branded pasta sauces, honey, spices, jams, and even bath and body products lined shelf after shelf. In a zombie apocalypse, you could probably survive stocking up here alone. I was most amused by lotion and soap scented like bucees praline pecans, one of their most popular snacks. The scent sounds cloying to me and I can't imagine intentionally wanting to smell like that, but there's really something for everyone here, no matter how niche the desire.

This location also has a brush type car wash, so if you want touch less keep going. Been here many times and staff here has always been friendly. So why not 5 you ask, well the car wash codes can at times not work, making you have to go inside to correct. The window wash stations are often out of water or missing the window wipers. Other than that this is a solid gas and time wise location .

It was also convenient that my kids needed frosting for cupcakes they were making and to my surprise they had that too! They never really communicated with the customers on why it closed for nearly a year. They just disappeared into thin air. Then all of a sudden it opened back up under ownership. I'll be the first to say that it's not the same at all. They don't have most of the things I used to purchase before the first one closed. For example, I used to always order Oreo vanilla shakes. Now they don't serve them anymore. I used to always stop there to get a few Powerade or Gatorade drinks for the road. They don't sell those anymore. The last time I stopped there for a Powerade, they said the only fruit-type drink available was Calypso. I reluctantly order one of the Calypso drinks and the kid proceeds to hand me a HOT one. It's 120 degrees outside and they give me a hot drink. I asked him why he gave me a hot Calypso and he said sorry and gave me a small cup of ice for my troubles. That's not going to win you any customers. I also forgot to add that I came up one morning to try the new chicken biscuit sandwich. This was around 830 or 845. So I was assuming that they'd have plenty of breakfast ready. Nope. They told me it was going to take 20 minutes to make the sandwich. Luckily I had to stop home and was going to pass by again, so I told them I'd be back. I reluctantly came back to get the sandwich. It was tasty, but it shouldn't have taken 20 minutes to make it. I'm willing to bet it won't take Tim Horton's 20 minutes to make a breakfast sandwich. I'm trying my best to support Farm Stores, but this new regime is clearly cutting corners on supplies and everything else the old regime had. It's not the same place as it was before. Not even close.
