Great Flying J Travel Center when driving to and from Houston! This location is about an hour out of downtown Houston and has amazing gas prices. If you travel a lot I highly recommend joining their Flying J point program and downloading their app because you always get all sorts of freebies. Anyhow! This specific location has a Dennis inside the store, as well as a Dunkin' Express for those coffee fanatics out there. They also have a FedEx drop-off box location on the right hand side of the building. When visiting keep in mind that they do have two separate entrances for car and truck. This place only received 2 stars because the workers were so nice! First of all majority of the lot is paid parking for $21, secondly the showers started off luke warm then turned freezing cold and are dirty. Someone left their dirty butt particle's on the toilet seat and the workers didn't clean it properly. Now as an otr driver, who wants to have to pay for parking and a cold shower at the end of a long day . The parking lot is full of holes, then there's some lady who comes at night knocking on doors for whatever reason... mind you she is not employed by pilot/flying j. Completely dissatisfied with this place couldn't park anywhere else because my delivery is literally around the corner but next time I know. I don't recommend parking here if you don't have to. read more

This Flying J is considered a truck stop?? Well most ALL truck stops have hot, fleshly brewed coffee..... NOT this one. You should just travel up the road and either go to Bucees or Love's truck stop where they have fuel, food, and freshly brewed coffee. I've lived near this Pilot for over 15 years and they still haven't got it yet! Truck stops have fresh coffee!!! Oh and don't forget, they're always short staffed and you usually have to wait in a long line to check out. Drive on up the road and don't waste your time!! read more

While on a road trip, went inside, got a coffee, and used the restroom. Walked in and was greeted by a cashier with a "welcome!". The restrooms were clean! After using the restroom, made a coffee at the Dunkin Espress station. This was very organized and clean. All the coffees and syrups were labeled. Made an iced coffee, paid the cashier (no line!), and was on my way. Overall, a quick and easy stop! read more

I have been buying propane from Flying J for 14 years. The fat little 30 yr old that has been filling bottles for the last 2 years or so has a horrible attitude. The manage inside, Chris, defends his little punk employee. I'm sure it doesn't matter to them, but Flying J lost a customer that buys diesel, gas, and propane for life. Fuel is cheaper down the road at Buc-ee's, and propane is much cheaper (.40 pound cheaper) right across the freeway at Local LP gas, and the guys there all have a great attitude. read more

What new information can one present about a gas station? Well, this gas station has a lot of what you need and some things that you just may want. This station is located next to a truck filling station, so you have to make sure you pay attention to those big bosses of the road heading your direction. Truck drivers are usually hopped up on stimulants, so while they are seeing circa 1930 Mickey Mouse cartoons playing through that windshield as they drive, they potentially may not see you trying to get the gas pump! I may have made up that last statement, but be cautious anyway while pulling up here! In terms of pricing, as of now, I have not noticed them having a particularly higher gas rate than most in the area, but since they are conveniently located off an exit on I-10, they do have a little higher rate than the state average. I have yet to find out what the "Pilot MyRewards" program is about, or what benefits you have for being in the program, but when I find out, I will pass that information along...probably in a tip for the business. One thing that I like about this location is that if you get depressed by this legal fleecing of your funds, you can drown your sorrows in all you can eat pancakes. This location has a Denny's attached to them, so you can get a decently priced meal along with your gas. All in all, you have a conveniently located gas location that will not truly hurt your pockets more than any other location. Because they service truckers as well, this location is quite roomy with plenty of pumps to spare. They get an extra star for having access to cheap foods and having plenty of state oriented trinkets to purchase. read more

Semi truck parking a little tight . Denny's restaurant nice and clean good food. Ordered a super-bird sandwich which comes with Turkey tomatoes on toast instead of bacon I substitute for two eggs with light yellow yoke, came out good. Recommend to try. Waitress was nice and friendly. For dessert i tried their New York Cheesecake taste buds definitely there came with fresh strawberries aswell. I did have some hot tea and the water tasted too boiled down they didn't aerate it properly. The showers where clean and mopped but the door i got was a little upsetting that the toilet was not cleaned properly. You can see a few stains. $18 dollar for a shower plus i always leave around 5-10$ as a tip as appreciation for the cleaners. Even though this shower room was not particularly up to par i will still leave a tip . God said donate to what is righteous. The people cleaning restrooms or making food i always tip, always appreciated. Might of been maybe a mishap, sometimes these things happen. Most of the times showers are clean including the toilets. Extremely convenient if you are in rush. Gas pump takes cards with usual prompts. Noticed rewards, may want to consider it if you stop through often. What caught my eye was the unlimited entrees. Too bad today is Turkey otherwise I would go for it. While you pump, your partner in crime can grab some snacks to go and save time. The gas lines are spacious and have covered parking. They also have self serve window cleaning and outlets to recharge your devices. And If you car starts smoking there is a fire extinguisher. Every vehicle stops here even R.V.s. If you have a pet don't worry cause there is plenty of space for them to stretch their legs too and sniff a bit of lawn. read more

Typical truck stop offering. Stopped here to use the RV lanes BUT the pumps were unreadable due to age. Also couldn't pay at the pump as they didn't work so you have to go to the store to try and prepay. A real mess of a great service offering. Go to the Shell on the south side oh I-10. read more

Great location next to I-10 freeway exit and entrance ramps. So getting off and back on the freeway were easy. Gas price was the cheapest in the neighborhood. This morning I paid $2.27 per gallon for regular unleaded. Across the street, Shell was charging $3.39. Clean bathroom for a truck stop station snd not too crowded. read more

Very nicely kept truck stop right off of the interstate with friendly staff. Only downside is that there is a ton of traffic getting in and out of this place. Upside is that there is a ton of parking for truck drivers and a full service Dennys Restaurant inside of it. read more

This is the cleanest, friendliest truck stop I have ever been too. The food is great, the service is excellent and the bathrooms and store are always clean. I drive a truck for a living and I make a point to stop at Flying J's when leaving Houston back to Austin. They have the best cheap pizza slice in the world. Plus the bathrooms are always clean, they have the best soap and the friendliest employees. You have a customer for life. read more
