On the first visit, I had to try the famous brisket sandwich, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The brisket was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. You could tell it was freshly prepared, with juicy meat piled high on a soft bun. Paired with a box of their fresh chips, it made for an excellent road trip lunch. On the way back, I switched things up and ordered the brisket tacos with tater tots. They were incredible--loaded with that same flavorful brisket and full of bold, smoky goodness. The tots were crispy, hot, and the perfect side. Definitely one of those meals that has you planning your next stop before you've even left. Of course, Buc-ee's is more than just the food. We spent some time wandering through the massive store, picked up a few shirts as souvenirs, and grabbed some Beaver Nuggets for the ride home. The whole place is an experience--clean, fun, and unlike any other travel stop you'll find. Can't wait for the Buc-ee's closer to home to be finished. It'll be dangerous for my wallet, but worth every visit!

On the day I visited the patrons were about as creative as the Kama Sutra maneuvering to position their fuel access doors as close as possible to the nearest nozzle at the expense of anyone in their way. Fortunately I was in the Fiat and was able to fit in a space few would consider an option making getting in and out relatively painless. This station seems to be a popular venue for the locals who have no issue leaving their vehicles unattended in front of the pumps while going inside to wait in the exhausting line at the counter or the even longer line designated for the restrooms (that's definitely the line to avoid at all cost). I don't know how many fueling options there are on this stretch of the boulevard but something seems to draw the masses to this place, maybe it's the competitive gas prices or the price of a bag of ice. Hint - Just in case you don't know which side of the rental car the gas door is on you can always look at the fuel gauge on the dash, the little arrow next to the fuel level indicator is pointing towards the side of the vehicle the fuel door is on, yes quite the engineering feat...

However, the gas station needs an update…read more Every time we stop here either the pumps do not work (we then have to move our car until we find a pump that does work), or the receipts will not print (we then have to go indoors, get in line and wait for a receipt) and the water bins are always empty probably because they are typically short staffed. Place looks dirty inside and at gas pumps. We are disappointed that such a gas station/convenient store exists in such a nice community.
