It turned out that a new rack and pinion was needed. Additionally, her new starter failed. Pete (owner) contacted the company that had sold her the starter and got a replacement for free. He said the rack and pinion was labor intensive and he wasn't sure he could get hers replaced before the weekend. This was on a Thursday late afternoon. Pete had it replaced by Friday afternoon so friend was able to not miss any work on Friday and the weekend. The price was reasonable and the service was beyond what we had hoped for.
