This place is great when its not too crowded, especially with teenagers. My son has a great time,…read moreunless the play area is full of teenagers and Adults! Stay away over xmas break. Other than that, loads for the kiddos to do, plenty of places for the parents to sit and relax if you choose to.

One of you can leave and come back but if you all leave you cannot come back. Not bad really if you get about two hours or more play time out of it. There is a food area that sells snack type food if you didn't bring your own. Mandatory to take shoes off but not sure why if you do not engage with the equipment. I have a degenerative condition in my right foot so next time I'm not taking my shoes off. Also, you are basically forced into the bathroom without shoes on, which I feel is extremely unsanitary. I'd leave and come back if I had to because you'll never catch me in a public bathroom with just my socks on. Staff up front was alright, kind of nice, but brisk and to the point. Inside the staff basically ignore you and don't interact with any out of line kids. Parents come to let the kids blow off steam and kind of forget to keep them following any rules, so you need to pay attention to slightly younger kids to keep them from getting hurt. Overall not bad but not all that amazing either. Staff need to be more involved and the no shoe policy is a fail if you don't use the equipment.

This review is specifically for the annual 6k Christy Mathewson Race held here every August. 6k…read morebecause that was Factoryville born Christy Mathewson's number was when he played for the NY Giants and Cincinnati Reds. Christy Mathewson was also one of the first five inductees into the Baseball Hall Of Fame. He is this tiny town in NEPA (northeastern PA) prized hero. Each year the community honors him by hosting this sweet little race. It's truly lovely to see the community come together. It's a long standing tradition for many families in the area including my husband's. Everyone cheers everyone on at the finish line and everyone know everyone. That's the mailman, that's the UPS driver, that lady works at Ray's Market and so on. Coming from Philly I just love this small town love and pride you get up here. There is a 1 mile kids race which takes place before the adult race although many teens run the 6k. The race course is through downtown Factoryville and through Christy Mathewson Park, on a bridge over a creek and around the baseball field. There is a huge complimentary town breakfast served either under tents on the grass outside the college or on exceptionally hot days, in the college cafeteria after the race where the medals are awarded to the top three runners in each category. It's a sweet tradition. If you live in the area you probably know about it and know someone who runs it. If not, and you're traveling through, stop by, it's just the cutest. You can just sign up that morning for just $22. It starts at 8:30am.

I hope that Middle States realizes that Keystone is a place that needs to be preserved to benefit the community and improve the lives of its students!
