We had to buy other tickets to a different movie because of a mishap and we weren't able to see the original movie, we were told it would be the same price but instead it was 3 extra dollars!!!!! And the man who checked our tickets was so disrespectful to us..! Wow!! Have you been here lately? First of all the expense is enormous. $8.60 for a small popcorn (that wasn't very good) Over $5.00 for a water. The movie "The Shift" was suppose to start at 7:20 PM, We waited 40 minutes sitting through repeat after repeat of Regal Commercials, Upcoming Movie trailers and more Regal commercials. Understand maybe "5" Minutes of this but get real. Theater on the other hand is very nice. Wasn't very warm as I kept my coat on the whole movie. Overall not a good experience. read more

Paid $17 including fees to watch The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It on the IMAX Big Screen. What I got treated to were the lights remaining on in the auditorium for most of the film's beginning followed by the remainder of the film being shown almost in black and white. Flesh tones were severely under-saturated. Due to this happening after paying so much to watch a duel-release film in IMAX room, I will not be returning to this chain again. read more

I don't go to the movies often, but when I do I drink Dos Equis... and come here. I literally go to the movies once a year, on black friday, while visiting my parents, and I like this movie theater. If you go to a matinee before 6pm there is a discount and you are going to need it so you can buy a big a** popcorn and drink (sadly has no discount)! The seating is comfortable with good screens and sound. It doesn't get too crowded, but that could be the time I go. If you like going to the movies this place is a good choice. I've been going to the movies quite frequently recently, but had not been to this theater in years. This is the closest theater to my house, but I usually decide to take the drive to Montage Mountain instead. The last time I saw a movie, I decided to try Regal and quickly came to realize why I always decide to go to Cinemark instead. Regal Cinemas in Dickson City is a relatively new theater, but I feel as if though they are already behind the times. The last theater I was in here was very small, with a small screen and tight uncomfortable seating. The theater was packed and I was seated next to a couple I did not know and felt as though I was sitting on their laps the entire movie. Regal Cinemas prices are comparable to other theaters, but you get much less bang for your buck here. You can drive a little farther and get luxury reclining seats and an overall better viewing experience for the same price. Until Regal Cinemas does a remodel and gets luxury seating, I will not return. Overall I have had much better experiences elsewhere. read more

If I want an IMAX 3D movie experience this is the place to go. We live an hour away and have never been disappointed! The curved screen and "sweetheart" seats keep everything cozy. They also have what I call coliseum seating, preventing you from a bad seat in the theatre. I started coming here about 7-8 years ago and have yet to see this place a mess or unclean! Made reservations online, and paid for them yesterday. We had a health emergency and I logged in and hit cancel first thing this morning for a 12:50 movie. Wouldn't work. There are two options for movie theaters in this area. Cinemark is better in every aspect than Regal. I've been here probably 3-4 times since it has opened, and it was only because a showtime was more convenient than Cinemark. Most of the time, Regal is showing the same movies at very similar times. read more

originally bought a ticket to see scream, got there said we couldn't bc we didn't have id understandable. they let us see a different movie and we already payed 11$. the man takes us back over to cashier and charges us 2 more dollars. we were with a group of friends and at the time or friends ended up buying the wrong tickets for the same movie but a different showing so we got split. We get into our theater and are wondering where our friends are they were in a different theater with the same movie, so we leave our theater to go find them because we're not gonna sit without them. we get in other theater and found them. eventually we had to use the bathroom and our other friends went to get food. we leave the bathroom come back and are waiting for them as 2 employees follow us in and stop us and tell us we're in the wrong theater and how this one is more money. so we had already spent 13$ already same amount as our other friends payed. While they stop us i offer to pay the amount up charge it was because i'm just trying to watch the movie at this point there's no need to be following us. so for the third time we walk out and have to pay another up charge of the movie which is now 5$?!?! This was an addition to the popcorn and drinks we bought. In total we payed $19.80 my original ticket was $11 they just kept up charging me and my other friend that originally payed $11 while the other people i was with only payed $13. tell me how i'm leaving this movie theater paying for a ticket that was near $20 with almost $15 in food. never will i ever come back here. read more

This was a pretty nice theatre. We went this past week and enjoyed ourselves. We got three tickets and several snacks. The sign advertised candy for a dollar with the purchase of a large drink and popcorn. We bought the larges and asked about the candy and were then informed that the special was for members of their reward program only. That's fine, but it needs to be clearly marked in the advertising. The seats were comfortable and spacious, and the theatre seemed clean and well taken care of. The people were nice as well. read more

First, I was insulted by asking for a ticket to my show, and was sold a senior citizen ticket when I'm not yet that age. So demoralizing! A small popcorn (which was very small by movie theater standards) was over $6.00. A medium drink (much larger than I expected) was over $5.00. Not a great movie experience. read more

Regal Theater in Dickson City is big, comfortable and clean. I like to start with something positive. What I didn't like was having to sit through 30 minutes of commercials and previews before I could watch the movie! Next time I will show up a half hour late! read more

One of the most gross theaters, it smells mucky, and the volume of the speakers / surround sound are terrible. Not to mention the teenagers and kids who are in the theater. Usually theaters have security or staff who walk in the theater to check in every hour. But without that the teens will talk and play on their phones throughout the movie. I have never been ID'd for a rated R movie in my entire life, but the one time I spend $70 online buying tickets to see the Nun in IMAX they decide to ID my friends and I after scanning my tickets. We are all of age, but two did not have their IDs on them BECAUSE AGAIN we have never been ID'd at a movie theater. This is the best cinema I've been to in the USA by a thousand miles. Absolutely spotless, with seating resembling first class air travel. IMAX quality is spot-on, and the projection is of a high standard even on smaller screens. Best time to go: Monday afternoon matinee - you'll be the only people there. Bliss. read more

Very clean and friendly staff! That means a lot to me, along with the theater seating. I like all the recliner seats and no isles down the middle of the screen! I came to see an early movie to avoid the crowds and the little kids that may show up. (Of course I was wrong... They still showed up.) I didn't let that ruin my day, the sound system was great! Parking is very convenient and plenty of. I may end up pulling a double feature today because this place is very nice. Definitely recommend for you die hard movie goers like myself. read more

The staff was friendly and each busy doing their job, but the place was filthy. Every garbage can was over flowing. There was popcorn literally everywhere. The counter, the floors, the bathroom, and the theaters . It was unbelievably dirty with popcorn. The parking lot was full of cars , employ enough people to take care of things. Get a manager, pay people enough to keep them or go yourself and take care of your business. Disgusting really, what is wrong with business today, that they take the profit and treat the public with so little respect that we are suppose to tolerate such conditions. read more

A nice change of atmosphere from the busier movie theatre (Cinemark) in the area. The lines a usually short and the theaters aren't as congested as Cinemark is when a new movie opens. The Dickson City area needed a theatre in the area since two 8 plex movie theaters closed many years ago. This theatre fills that void and eases the distance driving to the movies. read more

I am a new movie nut, and I love to go to all of the big releases. Being new to the area, I have not visited any other theatres. But with this one being just off I81 exit 191a and surrounded by multiple new shopping centers, I can not imagine going any where else for a movie. Prices are movie theater prices, but they do have a great concession stand. I had the nachos with cheese and chili the other night, and for movie theater food, it was pretty good. read more

Rather than driving to the Cinemark, this theatre fits as a good alternative. The decent amount of screens is nice and I can usually find the lesser-known new films that I want to see. Not quite as good as Cinemark's movie list...but still good. I'd rather just end up here if the movie is in both theaters and save the extra 15-minute drive. The theaters, concession stand, lobby etc... are all clean and I have nothing to complain about there. They have a bar on the right but I never see it open. Granted I end up seeing early afternoon flicks so I am unsure if this is open once the weekend hits, but if I end up there for a Saturday night movie, I'd enjoy a nice craft beer or red wine while waiting for the trailers. read more

Having a theater close to home has made going to the movies much easier. The theater is generally as well maintained as movie theaters can be. The lines are usually short unless a big movie is opening. In that situation, the theater starts to feel crowded, but what theater wouldn't? The only problem I have is with the concession stand. The wait is usually long and the prices are ridiculously high. I mean, $5 for a water? I don't think so. Really though, every theater is like that, for what reason I am not sure. But in general, there is not much to complain about. One perk of this theater chain is that it releases movies earlier than expected. I would recommend Regal Cinemas in Dickson to anyone in the area looking for a quick flick. read more
