I was really let down by this. A couple months ago I wanted to experiment with hypnotherapy to stop smoking. Penny had called me when I signed on for the Amazon Local Deals or Groupon, or whichever service I used to stumble upon her. She asked me to fill out a questionnaire specifically to avoid wasting our time describing the problem and more time fixing the problem while in session. I spent a lot of time on it. When I came in, she almost immediately said one session wasn't going to cover what we needed to get done and that she'd recommend me signing up for several more classes on the spot. I say "let's wait and see how this goes." She then apologizes for not reading my packet and proceeds to read it in front of me! I got so incredibly pissed off and let down at the same time. Like I just got suckered into this and that she doesn't take this job seriously. Not to mention, the hours I spent on the packet truly analyzing and dissecting the faults I wanted to improve about myself. We begin the hypno-therapy session. Maybe I'm just not susceptible to it, but I was very much awake and present the whole time, even though I went along with whatever she suggested: "when I snap my fingers you'll do this. Raise your arm slowly til it touches whatever..." I felt more and more that I had been had. Immediately when the session is over, she starts trying the sell me hard on more sessions. Unfortunately, the first one was so bad, I ran out of there. She's a very nice person, but unfortunately, that doesn't make her services functional. Penny has been a life-saver for me. I had tremendous PTSD from the Woolsey Fire intensified by the Pandemic and the collapse of my long-term relationship. Penny saved me from fear and despair. I actually bought a Living Social deal for one session with Circle One in 2012...maybe 2011. They have a list on their website suggesting things you could benefit through via hypnotherapy--things like habit control, career, weight management, learning, etc. A majority of the list is very intriguing, and so I decided to purchase the deal to try them out. If it was worth it, I would continue on. If not, then obviously I would look elsewhere. I unfortunately can't speak for Circle One's therapeutic skills because I never even made it to their doorstep due to poor communication! I don't know if they were just flocking with business at the time or what, but I had to constantly reach out to two different people. Why two? Because one kept telling me to call the other, but the other wouldn't pick up or return my phone calls! I was very disappointed to spend the money I did on this deal. Albeit the deal I spent on was $40 (I think real therapy costs more on average)...I could've spent that on a high-end dinner and it would've been more satisfactory than this. If you are a regular or have had a session with Circle One and are happy with them, then good. But if you're looking around, I would advise you look at as many options as you can--whether or not this place ends up being good for you. Finding a good therapist that fits YOU is important, anyway...can't just go with any. read more

I trust and believe in hypnotherapy because of my experiences with Penny. After a very difficult breakup I knew it would take more than just myself to understand the root of my own faults and shortcomings. Talk psychotherapy just didn't seem to cut it. Wow, how refreshing to have been a part of a different type of modality of healing. It's about three years since I used Circle and on 5.18.13 I wrote this thank you. But for some strange reason after a period of time it disappeared. Weird. So I am posting it again. But please notice my PS at the bottom because I just used their services again and I left more in awe then the first time. At this time I reflect on the enormous positive impact my association with Circle One has had in my life especially the one on one shamanic sessions and hypnotherapy with Hypnotherapist Penny Randall and Shaman Penny Randall. It has been almost five years since I partnered with the services of Circle One. It is through Penny Randall's expertise and intuitive guidance and especially her profound desire to improve the lives of others that have given me the courage to develop the necessary skills, understandings and patience to work through those life long issues that have kept me scared, that have kept me small and have limited me from flourishing into that unique and divine woman I was created to be. Yes, it has been five years of hard committed work. Don't take me wrong, It may only take a few weeks to a few months to "kick a habit" but the investment in our holistic self may take a bit longer as one peels away those layers of muddled thinking that goes along with unmet goals that is far more deeper then an addiction. After going through traditional therapy for a few years, I was feeling close to the same with not much change. I was prescribed depression medication and found the side effects to outweigh the benefits, so I through it out. Then I found Circle One- Penny!
