My first time eating here. I had a cheeseburger that was by far one of the best cooked burgers. Bun fresh and soft. I asked for sweet potatoe fries, they were the waffle type fresh cut and made. They were absolutely Incredible. Candy had the meatloaf special with mashed potatoes with Corn and gravy and a side of coleslaw. It came with 2 fresh dinner rolls. She said everything was great. I ordered liver and onions to take home for hubby he said it was great. What I noticed people having amazing salads, pancakes the size of a giant Frisbee, soups and onion rings that looked insane. They serve fair type fries, paper thin strips perfectly seasoned and cooked. Pies with or without ice-cream and breakfast items to fill any tummy and all priced right. The highlight was our waitress absolutely helpful kind and friendly. This place is a diamond in the rough. The 3 steps into the place are alittle higher than normal but other than that pure perfection. Bathroom spotless clean. Going here is like stepping back in time. I will be back. The pancakes are insane. Plain, blueberry or chocolate chip. Get the 2 stack take one home. This is real food, served in a back in time atmosphere with very very reasonable prices. We love the Circle Restaurant, anytime we are near the Deerfield Circle we plan to stop at the Circle. The restaurant is very spacious. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and their menu has something for everything. On this trip I got the Open Face Roast Beef Sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy! Fantastic comfort food. I'm sorry I didn't catch the other servers name, but we were very happy with everything. I would say with a large party of 20. I do understand that the food comes out a little wonky. While visiting family, they met us here for brunch. Nice little establishment kinda in the middle of nowhere. However, it was worth the drive. They were very busy and we had a party of 7 that they easily accommodated. As busy as they were, the place was surprisingly clean and comfortable. For what it is, they do a great job. This restaurant has a diner feel to it. In fact, there's a large counter that you can sit at and eat if you wish, but there are plenty of other tables and seats available. The menu is large, and is printed on both sides of your place mat! The food is good, and they don't skimp on portion size, either. I've made several stops here over the years. I can attest that their breakfasts are really good. I can't rate it a 5 because it is well known by the locals and packed on the weekends. That statement illustrates both the positive and the negative. No complaints on the food and service for sure. Typical breakfast choices. Their pancakes are huge! The acoustics in the place make it difficult to have a conversation when all the tables are full. Expect that for sure on the weekends. You have to relax and realize service will be a bit slow. Not inattentive for sure. They have plenty of servers. It's due to to the volume of customers they handle. Place used to be great, but past few years have been bad, for me at least. Used to have all you can eat fish or shrimp and fries. Fish and shrimp used to be good, now tastes like something from Walmart and shrimp is now dry pea size popcorn shrimp not the juicy jumbo shrimp. As for service one word awful. My dirty little secret is chicken fried steak. Either cube steak or Salisbury, breaded and deep fried. Covered in chicken gravy. Mashed and green beans on the side. Covered in mashed and butter. And NO SALAD! Salad dressing is a calorie bomb, and iceberg lettuce has zero nutritional value. So do your body a favor, and avoid salads. Stick to deep fried meats and gravy. My parents and I went here a few months ago after seeing a facebook post about it. The food is great! The service is great also! We try to go when they first open so we get greeted as soon as we walk in. The first time we went I tried the Chuck It, Which is tater tots topped with corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, and cheese. I believe it comes with toast also. It tasted great. It could have used more cheese, but that's just my preference. The next time we went I tried their pancakes with chocolate chips added. It was as big as the plate! It also tasted great. I would have liked more chocolate chips, but again that's my preference. The only downside is that it's seat yourself, so if it's busy good luck. I also don't like how their entire menu is on their place mat and it's in such tiny print. This is a great place and we will be going back again. read more

This is a very limited review in that in all my visits I have had the same thing, but Circle Restaurant does that same thing really well. Located on the traffic circle on Rt. 14 in Deerfield this is a great place to stop for breakfast. I love riding my motorcycle out here early in the day. Circle is a typical family style restaurant, clean nothing fancy, but great food. You can get a table if one is available or grab a seat at the counter. The menu is typical with American standards. I end up ordering the pancake and eggs: yes that is a single pancake and 2 eggs. The eggs over medium are nicely cooked with the yolk still slightly liquid. The pancake is the clear star of the show since a single one hangs over the edges of the plate; this is about the size of a large or extra large pizza. The outer edge is slightly crispy the middle spongy and delicious. Unless you have a huge appetite or have brought a friend do not get the full order of 2. Although I have not tried them yet, the dessert case has a bunch of great looking pies which look excellent. If you are out at West Branch or Berlin Reservoir, it is well worth your time to check out Circle Restaurant. Nothing fancy but a place you can get the biggest pancake you will ever experience. read more

We have known this place was here for many years, but had never tried it. Today, we decided to give it a try for breakfast, and we were not disappointed. Friendly Staff and wonderful food. We camped at the nearby Mill Creak Camping Area and were looking for a place to warm up (yeah get that a place to warm up in June...). This facility has a nice small time vibe. We started with a warm Cinnamon Roll. It's worth every penny. Food was clearly hand made (not out of a box). I am on a Keto diet at the moment and there were plenty of selections to keep me on the straight and narrow. However, when it is time to fall off the bandwagon for a day, there is a pancake with my name on it. The atmosphere is that of a local diner, lots of local conversations going on. It was a really 'homey' feeling and the folks accepted you right away. Other folks tend to ignore the interlopers, but not this place. The place is located on the roundabout in Deerfield. The food here is very good for a greasy spoon. It's been around a long time, you can plan on hearing the local C&W station and some local gossip. Plenty of working class folks keep this place in business. Like my man Scott S. says, you gotta support the Mom & Pop places. On the latest trip, the ham and eggs didn't disappoint. But I wish I'd gotten the potato pancakes. Holy cow, the wife garfed those babies down before I could get more than a bite. They had a hint of onion and were done just right. I have stopped off and on at the Circle Diner for many years. Several years ago, I moved back to the area and now I stop in for a meal several times a month. I do not recall ever having a complaint about either the food, the deserts or the service. Today, I ordered the Philly Steak Salad which is not only excellent but more than than most folks could eat in one meal. If you like steak and fries on a super salad, then order up this item for your daily greens. I have attached a photo. There are many good menu items that exceed "diner food." We've driven past this place once in awhile over the years and we finally stopped to check it out On a Saturday at about 11am. Seemed to have ample parking. It was packed inside. We sat right away by taking the 2 bar stools that just opened up. It's a diner, and as far as diners go, it's a 5 star. It's got that good old home town feel. The staff was friendly enough. They were all fast and hustling. Something you don't see so much even 2 years after covid. Coffee was good. The local businesses all advertise on the placemats & mugs. We got the Italian sausage with onions/peppers and we had them add mozzarella cheese on top. Mmm it was good! A nice tasting Italian sausage!! I liked that it was a flat rectangle piece, it reminded me of this good Italian sausage we used to get on pizzas 30 years ago where I lived. We also got a side of bacon. Very tasty good, cooked just right. Also got the Mexican omelet with a added side of sour cream, also very tasty good. We're kinda sad we didn't try this place sooner! Talk about down home cookin' it was really good. Very well priced and fantastic service (and they were very busy at the time)!!!! We cannot wait to go back again. It is really nice to have a place where 2 people can have "the meal they want" and it could be down home and uniquely like Mom is in the kitchen (and my mom and dad were awesome cooks)! I love when you eat out and it tastes just like your husband cooked for you for mine is the BEST CHEF EVER and that is a fact. The servings are great to by the way. Meandering the countryside and came upon a local joint for a late breakfast on a Sunday. Busy pretty tightly packed dining room. Lots of window seats in booths. Coffee, a notch above dive cafe coffee, was hot as hell in a throwback cup that burns your lips because it seems to conduct the heat. Ham and cheese omelette: outside of omelette was greasy probably from what else is cooked on griddle. Eggs had kind of a tough snap to them. Not a fluffy omelette but the kind where egg spreads out too much on open griddle. Tons of lunch meat ham diced and American cheese. Maybe a bit too much ham. Sliced potatoes crisped as ordered but a little unevenly. I would go back with kids so they could try the hubcap pancake I saw people eating. Maybe will try scrambled eggs nxt time and ask them to mind the grease. Toast was barely buttered. Servers were awesome in terms of keeping up with customers. The service was outstanding! The food was so very good! The place is a diner so we went in with the expectation of diner service. We sat at the counter because the place was extremely busy. Even though it was non-stop customers, our waitress was on her game. We didn't have to ask for anything twice and always had full drinks. The food was good. We ordered brunch. The portions were large. The Jo Jo fries were oh so good!!! I recommend this place if you are around or want a nifty diner to check out.
