He looked around, and asked me to call back so he could call his manager, finally found costume and then asked me if I want to reserve it. I had reserved it at least six weeks prior. Then he asked me if I had paid for it yes. He told me to bring in receipt. It was filthy!! Chunks of ??? hair, leaves. I took photos there before I left the shop. I told him this was unacceptable. He agreed and apologized. Said manager would be there when I brought it back and I could talk to her then. I took it home vacuumed the chunks, used a Lint roller to pick up bits the vacuum could not pick up. Sewed part of the hat back on to the head where threads had broken causing the hat to tilt at an odd angle partly covering the eyes. I brought it back with photographs to show manager how nasty it was. She was not there. On duty clerk lied to me about who the manager was. (Gee, I wonder why she does not want her name given out.) He called her and he said she said there was nothing to do about it because we had accepted it in that condition. I was scheduled for an event the next morning with a number of children for photos. What could I have done? A promise is a promise. I guess the owners/manager don't consider a mascot costume rental agreement a promise. Do NOT trust this place/these people.

I decided to walk around a bit, maybe they had something hidden. Not really, just some tacky Halloween costumes and overpriced junk jewelry. However, what really turned me off was this. I went over to a cabinet and saw a flask with a confederate flag on it.. I kind of just rolled my eyes thinking that this is the south compared to where I'm from. However, on the shelf below it there was Nazi paraphernalia being sold. One of the tags literally said "Nazi $120.00". Swastikas and all. Now, this may be legal (no idea on the US laws about that), however it is very distasteful I don't appreciate that at all. If the owner bought it from somewhere, WHY. I get that's it's historical but it's very offensive to me personally. I kept thinking of the episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where the museum curator tries to call the cops on Charlie for trying to sell old Nazi uniforms. Am I missing something? Is this an okay thing to do?

I spoke with the owner and their attention to detail and her ability to recall the fabrics that they have in the shop is amazing. I showed her a picture of something I was interested in that I had seen in Noblesville and took her a little bit, but they chased it down so I was happy to take some home. Dave delivered to my second floor sewing room an extremely heavy cabinet, set it up, and took away the boxes and trash. Not every dealer will do this! Not only that but they sent their wonderful tech, Aaron, to my house to check out minor issues with my new machine. They know that the machine is way too heavy for me to get down the stairs and into my car. Instead they sent their very competent tech to me. I've never had a dealer offer to do this. I am so thrilled to have this resource so close to me. Anything you need related to Bernina is in the store or can be ordered. Don't even get me started on the FABRICS! I garment sew and their assortment is amazing! I know if I need help with construction of a garment or a quilt some one here will be able to help. Check them out the next time you are in the area. On Friday evening, I paid to have balloons purchased at Party City to be filled with helium (the price was outrageous, more than the cost of the balloons themselves. The balloons were not floating for our sons party on Saturday morning. On Sunday morning I complained and was told that nothing could be done. If I had called the day of, they would have replaced them for me. So, I was supposed to leave my son's party to have the balloons replaced. That's practical. I have had other poor customer service experiences at this location as well. I have worked in retail and I know that management here does not care about the customer satisfaction experience.

I much prefer Griffy's or just shopping online.
