If they don't have the party items you're looking for here, the only other place you're going to find what you're looking for is online. The selection here is HUGE. All merchandise is organized by category (Fiesta, 1950s, Luau, Sports, baby shower, bridal shower, party supplies, baking supplies, party favors, balloons, school pride, holiday, and of course HALLOWEEN accessories, costumes and décor.). Dean's has the best Halloween set-up from Indianapolis to Evansville, hands-down. The moment you walk in the door around Halloween, everything is decked out to the nine's. 4/5 because the selection is fabulous. Prices are higher than what you'll find online and I wouldn't necessary buy decorations, favors or costumes and accessories here unless I was in a bind/time crunch. An awesome place to browse if you've never been here before, but 99% of the time whatever is sold here you can purchase for much less. Can't say much about the customer service here, which means it isn't memorable. Unless you're shopping here during the month of October, staffing is sparse. He looked around, and asked me to call back so he could call his manager, finally found costume and then asked me if I want to reserve it. I had reserved it at least six weeks prior. Then he asked me if I had paid for it yes. He told me to bring in receipt. It was filthy!! Chunks of ??? hair, leaves. I took photos there before I left the shop. I told him this was unacceptable. He agreed and apologized. Said manager would be there when I brought it back and I could talk to her then. I took it home vacuumed the chunks, used a Lint roller to pick up bits the vacuum could not pick up. Sewed part of the hat back on to the head where threads had broken causing the hat to tilt at an odd angle partly covering the eyes. I brought it back with photographs to show manager how nasty it was. She was not there. On duty clerk lied to me about who the manager was. (Gee, I wonder why she does not want her name given out.) He called her and he said she said there was nothing to do about it because we had accepted it in that condition. I was scheduled for an event the next morning with a number of children for photos. What could I have done? A promise is a promise. I guess the owners/manager don't consider a mascot costume rental agreement a promise. Do NOT trust this place/these people.

I decided to walk around a bit, maybe they had something hidden. Not really, just some tacky Halloween costumes and overpriced junk jewelry. However, what really turned me off was this. I went over to a cabinet and saw a flask with a confederate flag on it.. I kind of just rolled my eyes thinking that this is the south compared to where I'm from. However, on the shelf below it there was Nazi paraphernalia being sold. One of the tags literally said "Nazi $120.00". Swastikas and all. Now, this may be legal (no idea on the US laws about that), however it is very distasteful I don't appreciate that at all. If the owner bought it from somewhere, WHY. I get that's it's historical but it's very offensive to me personally. I kept thinking of the episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where the museum curator tries to call the cops on Charlie for trying to sell old Nazi uniforms. Am I missing something?
