My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant while staying at Massanutten Resort. Years ago, I had lobster ravioli at an Italian restaurant in the area and couldn't remember the name. After searching lobster ravioli online, this restaurant came up, and the photos looked so good that we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and seated promptly. However, it took a while before anyone came to our table. Two younger waitresses were standing in the back talking with someone they appeared to know, and after about 15 minutes, another staff member finally asked if we had been helped. When I told her we hadn't, she immediately took our drink and food orders. The atmosphere was pleasant and family-friendly, with a relaxed vibe. Once our waitress took over, she was amazing--attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. My favorite dish of the entire trip was at Ciro's Italian Eatery. We were in the mood for either pasta or pizza, and after a quick look on Yelp, their fettuccine creamy bolognese immediately caught my eye -- I knew that was the one. My husband went with the meat lover's pizza. While he was happy with his pizza, I was absolutely blown away by my pasta. Everything about it was perfect -- from the texture of the pasta to the richness of the sauce. It was incredibly satisfying and easily the best thing I ate all trip. We loved it so much that we came back a second time before heading home and ordered another one to-go for our daughter (yes, it survived the 2-hour drive!). Crispy and soft, not chewy. Breaded Mushrooms were a miss, but could be someone's favorite if you don't mind textures. 3/5 Gnocchi, ravioli, chicken salad were all really good, 4/5 The cheesesteak was meh, meat was too dry. 3/5 The cheesecake was still frozen in the middle but it was shared between 3 of us and it was still a good plain cheesecake 4/5 Son's tiramisu was a 5/5, he really loved it and our waitress was sweet enough to write happy birthday on his plate even though we didn't ask. read more

If you're looking for a way to get off the resort, or even if you're looking for a nice place to eat off campus, Ciro's might be the place for you. We came here for my sister's birthday and made sure to call ahead as we were a large party of 10 people. Please note that they do not take reservations. Not only did they accommodate us, but it became clear when we arrived that they have more than enough room to host multiple large parties. I had the lobster ravioli which was reasonably priced. I do wish the lobster pieces in the dish were a bit a bigger, but other than that it was delicious. Definitely recommend Ciro's next time you find yourself in Elkton! read more

Being from DC has elevated my standards of food but this place was pretty solid for us while on vacation. We actually went twice because they had so many options. The best dish was the lobster ravioli by far. It was outstanding. All entrees come with a very nice salad (garden salad or Caesar) AND garlic bread! We ordered the so-called "focaccia." While at Massanutten resort we were looking for a good place for dinner. Ciro's was on the list of recommended restaurants off resort. The waiter was solid and the establishment was clean. Everyone had positive feedback about this food. I had the Seafood Special and it was excellent. The scallops were bigger than I expected. My son had the calamari and buffalo wings and said they were good, my wife had the grilled chicken caesar salad and it had plenty of chicken. The eggplant parmigiana was too thin and two in our party was not happy with it. Lasagna had by one in our party was excellent. The woman placing the order was SO helpful guiding me as to what we needed for our 20 member family vacationing in the area. By six o'clock they had a feast waiting for us. Friendly and accommodating service. They were able to seat our large party of 18 at multiple tables. The portions are generous and one order of pasta can be easily shared between two people. I ordered the bake rigatoni which was huge and felt stuffed afterwards. Cheesy bread side is very soft and delicious. BLUF: Delicious food polite service This review is based on takeout only. Five of us ordered take out of pizza, calamari, and Caprese salad on a Monday night. When we arrived the restaurant was extremely busy. The woman who was handling take out orders was definitely very frazzled. She continued to be polite and helpful if she could be but it's clear that she was short-staffed. The pizza was very good. We had a Supreme and a Margherita pizza. I had hoped that the cross would be a bit crispier, but it's possible that it kind of steamed softer during the time driving home. The calamari was delicious. We didn't just get the plain fried calamari we got one with sauce and peppers and olives on it. I can't remember exactly what it was called.
