Dr. McEvilly is the MAN! My sciatica was on a level 10 and my physical therapist wouldn't touch me. I've been seeing Dr. McEvilly for a few weeks now and its amazing that I can stand up straight now, walk/stand with ease and I'm getting the feeling back into my left leg. I love this chiropractic Office. The office manager Katleen and Dr Brian McEvilly (I hope this is the right spelling) are excellent. I was referred to Dr McEvilly by my insurance company. This was my first time ever going to a chiropractor so of course I was very nervous. Dr McEvilly explained in detail how all of my body mechanic works and what to expect when having treatment. I felt incredibly comfortable. I was a little sore after the first visit which was explained to me that This would happen. Unfortunately, I ended up injuring myself for other reasons unrelated to his practice. It's been nearly a month since I've been to see Dr McEvilly. Before seeing Dr. Mc Evilly my quality of life was deteriorating right before my eyes and all my regular doctors just wanted to give me pain pills. I wasn't able to get out of bed without crying and every step I took was with severe pain. Sleeping wasn't any different, I had pain 24 - 7. So I had a MRI done and found out that I have a major back problem and it wasn't going away. My daughter talked me into seeing Dr. Mc Evilly . Dr. Brian has taken away the chronic pain that I suffered with for five years, and sleeping so much better. Dr Brian is the guy if u have any muscle bothering you. I took my mother in law who was having a severe back ache. Once we started visiting him.. Bingo !! We actually came to know where exactly the problem was and his adjustments started to work as magic for her. A very patient listener, he also advises on how to keep up with ur health once ur done with the sessions. I've been to several Chiropractors, one who of which who was Excellent and tough to top. I've been dealing with vertigo, whiplash, lower back pain, terrible sleep because of all this. I felt like a total basket case! Then I went to see Dr. Brian. Kathleen who handles all the scheduling, insurance etc. is wonderful! Dr. Brian is a Miracle Worker! Doc McEvilly is a great guy who listens, he's responsive, and he handles your chiropractic needs every time. If you are good at listening to your body and advocating for yourself about what hurts and what needs attention, he'll take care of it! He's got a great attitude and if he ever forgets to pop a certain area, you just let him know and he handles it, no problems or pushback! Between Doc and Kathleen, I know I'm always going to be taken care of and feel better by the time I leave the office. I'm lucky that he's on my commute home and that his hours work with my schedule. Let me start by saying a good chiropractor is hard to find! But I was lucky enough to find Dr. McEvilly and his wonderful assistant Kathleen. I called the office when I was having terrible arm pain and numbness and was a new patient. I didn't think I would be able to find a same day appointment but that is exactly what I found. Kathleen was so nice on the phone and when I got to the office she was so helpful. Dr McEvilly is the bomb! I love his enthusiasm and passion for his job. He was able to hone in only issues and was able to relieve some of my pain after one visit. I also like how well he explains what to expect after treatment and how to help relieve pain at home in between visits. I don't have insurance to cover these visits and I found that his out of pocket fees are very reasonable. They even have a multi visit discount. I can't say enough good things about this office! Finding Dr. McElroy was a God sent. I found him on yelp. .who always steers me in the right direction. I could not walk a month ago. I use to have to see a chiropractor once every 6 months - a year. Then my chiropractor retired and a year later I was sore again. So I decided to try this place, due to all the 5 star reviews. After seeing this guy, I was not only in more pain, but pain shot down from my hip to my toes (sciatica). Next day I couldn't walk without holding onto the walls. I decided never to come back. This guy is super arrogant and will not ask your permission before doing a neck adjustment.... he distracts you by telling you to look at the picture on his ceiling, then just goes for it. I never wanted my neck to be cracked. It got so bad, it was looking like I would need back surgery. Why all these great reviews?? Only thing I can think of is that this guy offered me a free back adjustment or massage if I were to "leave a Yelp review". He doesn't tell you it has to be a good review, but I doubt one would want to leave a bad or so-so review on someone that they will later trust their body to. I found another chiropractor in Pleasant Hill after Dr. Evil and commute from Fairfield to Pleasant Hill. Been going to this other chiropractor for 3 years and not once has he messed up. What is interesting, this guy had some bad Yelp reviews that were spot-on. Somehow all those warning reviews are gone. Does he have lawyer friends that got Yelp to delete the reviews? I have no idea why they are all gone. I am 100% positive this was the chiropractor I saw and 100% positive I later read reviews that I should have taken more notice of.
