You know, it feels a little weird to write a review about a gas station. Yet, I feel compelled to…read morewrite about this one place. I don't live in Asheville, in fact I live very far away. I drive to Asheville a few times a year (anything to avoid flying with those stupid airlines), and since it's fairly close to where I stay, I will go there to gas up. Often when I've gone there, the attendant was outside cleaning the pumps or chatting up people. I don't know, it's just that there were some general good vibes. Is that weird? To me, it is a little bit weird in that almost all gas stations are places that skeeve me out. People watching is often entertaining and horrifying at the same time. Most attendants at these places obviously don't want to be there, and most of the time everything is dirty, even in the new places. So, yeah, it's a bit weird that I'm writing this. But, I wouldn't be writing it if it didn't affect me in someway shape or form. It has. It's not an earth shattering experience for most people, but it something I always notice when I'm there.

She is actually new to the store, not me. I will be contacting the manager and corporate tomorrow. I work in hospitality and would never dream of yelling at a customer and insulting them. Could spot it right away as I was getting cash. I had to make a U-turn near the back end and then I find some guy parked in front of it so he could grab a case of beer. Finally, he drives away after eyeing me in the mirror. Then the air machine says offline. Then I find myself wedges between a mini-utility fan and someone getting stepping out for gas. No consideration that someone needs to pass through. Horrible layout!

Instead of explaining why they couldn't or trying to assist in any way, they were full of i dont care attitude and belittling. This morning at 6:30 am I try and pay for gas with $20 in quarters. The mediocre male behind the counter expresses that he doesn't want to count this clear bag of quarters that I've counted twice from home. I simple remind him that it's US currency and he'd have to count dollars as well. After I pump $19.50. I go back into the store and he tells me that that my count was wrong and then throws a Canadian coin at me with an attitude. Shell I understand its a challenge to get good help.
