Nicest good old fashion service station that I have had the pleasure of needing in ages! Had a genuine flat tire, equally wonderful guys at Togars Rugs inflated my tire, pointed me to Firestone. They were nice enough to to point me nextdoor to Skyland Exxon to put my spare on (so I can honor my tire warranty when I get back home.) Skyland Exxon put my spare on (for less than $10!) and then, as they were backing the car out, were unhappy with the sound it was making... turns out one of the brake caliper bolts was MISSING! Of course, I needed service on my truck the day AFTER they were closed for Memorial Day and they were 3 rows deep in vehicle repairs. HOW REFRESHING and unexpected to get excellent customer service from an auto mechanic!! I called Skyland based on a recommendation from a friend, but when I spoke to David it sounded like they weren't going to be able to help me because of how booked up they found themselves after the 'day off'. Not only did David have me come in so he could personally pull the code and help troubleshoot the issue, he set up an appointment a few days out in case I couldn't get the warranty work done that my truck needed. I took my car to a chain establishment for an oil change and they told me that my battery was pushing 460 instead of the needed 600. I have had several cars worked on at Skyland Exxon and decided to go there for them to check it out. The General Manager, David, said my battery was pushing the right voltage, but he still replaced it for free (even though it was out of warranty) to ease my mind. If I were you, I would think twice before using this business. I went there looking for a patch or plug repair to my BRAND NEW tire, and the mechanic came out and told me the nail was too close to the edge of the tread to repair, and would I like to have a quote on a new tire. SHADY ALERT! I said, "Nope, I'll go someplace else.", and drove to Newbridge Tire. They fixed my tire for $18. Mark and Tom extracted one of our vehicles from a creek off the side of an embankment -- dark night, dark winding road, bad curve with no lines or street lights. Car wasn't going very fast so minimal damage but lodged in a difficult spot. One of those unfortunate things that you cannot believe happened. They managed to haul it out without doing any further damage -- and were kind, considerate, concerned and incredibly careful in the process. BEWARE of this Place; I took my car for a simple oil change...hours later my Check Engine Light; Traction Light; and Throttle Indicator Light came on...Although me and my sons life was endangered every time me car stalled these people continue to say we can't do anything til we talk to the manager but would not contact him....Poor Service(m; Save The Life of Your Cars and Take it Somewhere Else.
