So when I got a trip that came to Abeel St Kingston (nearby) just the other day and saw my gas gauge, I knew it was time! I've been planning to get gas and write a review from a nearby store, when I came in, but chose this place that day anyway. The entrance to this store is a bit thin. To veer into the place, there was a car coming out. I ended up clipping the curb with my front tire. Then with my gas on my passenger side, I pulled up to the spot near the door making the entry easy. There was a car directly in front of me (who later backed up to pull out), and so there I stopped - close to the pump. I thought my decision was right. The pumps had no problems with my GasBuddy card - and I seamlessly took care of the pay-at-the-pump transaction. I inserted the card and typed my Driver ID (like a PIN), pumped and was able to take care of the transaction. However, just as I was about to exit, some weirdo decided to pull up so far into the pumping area that I thought they were about to hit me. My first thought was to move backward, but when I realized there's almost no space backing up, (with another car being possible there), I knew I had to veer someway around them after giving them a loud and long horn-beep. I moved around them easily, until the end. I heard a loud "crunch" (nothing happened to either car) and I noticed he continued to pull through and out. I don't think I'll be coming here again. I know I had come here in the past without problems, but now I've shed a different light on this place. This annoying other a**whole really changed my perspective on how this place is seen in my eyes. Please give us a little more space to move around your location.

I rarely if never review gas stations unless there's good reason. This particular Speedway was so…read morefilthy I almost did a U turn. Like "call public health" filthy. Nothing looked appealing after that encounter. Not even things in wrappers or cans. How can any management allow bathrooms or floors get to third-world conditions like this ones? How low does an employees sense of duty or care have to go- oh wait. Though to be fair it's also about the dignity and respect the general public show an establishment they use. We are living in Trumps version of "America." The bar has been set so low, and and the People follow (or perhaps less than 1/3 of them anyway). Dismayed.

But I was also budgeting to a point where I was only stricken with an EBT card (food stamp/SNAP card). I craved sandwiches with meat (ham and cheese are my faves), but most of these sandwiches EBT won't pay for (they don't take them for being "prepackaged") and when I found that you had sandwiches, I was almost hooked - but that's when I saw the price. I was carrying only about $6 in cash and when I spotted even the cheapest sandwich at close to $7, I had to turn away. (Their bagels (without peanut butter or similar) were there, but those were a lot less than what I'd get for cheaper at your competitor, so had to forego those completely.) However, this place also has some variations of stuff I couldn't get at your competitor. I found bags of cookies (chewy chocolate chips of the brand name) on your shelves and stuff I couldn't find elsewhere - some more prominently displayed than others. However, there were things that even the competitor had that I had to get today because I'm getting tired of getting the same stuff there continuously and had to be spontaneous. However, the rest of the transaction was okay. I was the only customer in the store for most of my transaction, and the employee who checked me out was rather nice. He allowed me to place my goods on the counter and allowed me to check out the sandwich corner. He waited until I got back to pay before he started ringing me up - and something I valued: patience. This purchase was also my first purchase where I entered my Mobil Rewards number, something I started in 2021 and hadn't used yet. I was surprised that I even remembered I had one, but he never asked if I was a member. Sorry, if my presence bothered you. This place no longer is open 24-7, based on other factors, but this place surely makes itself known at the corner of Routes 9 (US) and 199 (NY). I know several people who would rather pick up goods here and without a doubt have no trouble. It's a fact that this lot is always full, but when coming from a mile north and no car, I had to walk it today. However, I can only come in every so often.

Yesterday was the first time I ever picked up some Gulf gas from this Gulf gas station. And…read morealthough my experience was a good one (so far as I know - having not known how efficient this gas is in my tank), I can't say for certain this was a good trip nor a bad one either. Although looks can be intimidating at first, the fact that prices per gallon seemed cheaper if you paid in cash, this place doesn't look all that well kept up on the roads and is in an area that looks about 20 years behind the times. The employee I met up with took my money in an efficient manner, but never did give me my receipt. I myself wasn't thinking straight and never asked her later for one. I know from others who have tried in here themselves too, this place needs some renovating. The inside is tiny and the roads leading up to and into the station are terrible....the road is cracked in several spots and my car went "bumpety-bumpety bump" over several potholes in the street which was pure terror on my 2009 car - I hate to see what the road and surrounding area would do to a brand new (same model year as the most current year) car if these were to travel over it. Clean up and re-renovate the roads surrounding your business and definitely eliminate that annoying extra turn that makes me confused near that bank so you don't have to make the extra turn towards the bank just to make a 45 degree turn towards your establishment, which seems kinda' extra much to get to a gas station (most gas stations are straight in and straight out).

I came into this store on a whim as I walked from Dunkin' to this location (originally hoping to stop at Hannaford nearby instead). Although I still saw the gas pumps out front, my first need was solved in your selection of Ham submarine sandwiches (in the deli case nearest the registers) - something not all Stewarts Shops have - and a bottle of Poland Spring water to drink (23.7 oz sports top) on my walk back later that day (only to spot my ride meeting me near the former location of the Bagel Place/car shop not very far from your shop). I had ideas that day to pick up a bottle of Pure Leaf Tea&Lemonade but decided it wasn't something I needed and put that item back. But during this experience, I noticed a trickle of folks coming in and out. Still, very few stayed in for very long, and by the end of my quick visit for a quick stop for a few items (even without my bags), I felt out of place and was hoping for more questions about my visit. I haven't been coming in many times now, because my car is not working and I'm in a catch-22, and walking is just too far at about 2 miles on foot.
