When the suit was delivered, not only was it not a suit, it was the most hideous plaid sports coat that wasn't even my size. Needless to say, I went back and they were super apologetic. They once again had to call customer service and fix the problem. This time they had it delivered to the store first. My suit finally came and since I had no immediate need for a suit, they said I can come back anytime and have it altered. Though Men's Wearhouse as a whole has been dropping the ball alot lately, this particular location did their absolute best to make it right. I was about to write the whole company off, but they somewhat restored my faith in this place.

It is not the customer's responsibility to know what the bride requested as far as colors and details. They'll just switch up the color, or one minute aspect of the design and BAM - it's the newest hot thing to hit the streets. I don't fault them for this as they're a mass production women's apparel brand/store merely masquerading as some sort of exclusive boutique. I think the whole premise behind that label is that Max Azria just wanted to hook us common ladies up with "bon chic, bon genre" fashions, what a sweetie. The clothing items are decently constructed. I can't say some of the casual wear items were sewn up with the intention of lasting years and years, but the cocktail and formal wear ought to be good for several years, given you're not engaging in all night benders while wearing them. I can't really comment on the shoes or accessories, but a couple of my friends seem to be huge fans. I feel that sizing is somewhat accurate, but can lean towards being a bit "vanity" at times when it comes to the dresses. I believe the return policy is within 14 days, with receipt - store credit only (I could be wrong). All of this being said, I was not impressed in the least at the quality of this particular location in the galleria. The store itself was definitely in order visually, but the customer service was lacking to say the least. I managed a BCBGMaxazria boutique in SoCal for two years and was not pleased that the entire 5 minutes in the store I wasn't greeted or even communicated with at all as three associates/managers were chatting in the middle of the store amongst each other. I actually did come in to get styled for once for a birthday event I had coming up but unfortunately the staff was unable to help me or unwilling to help me. Either way I walked out of the store empty handed because I couldn't find anyone to show me to a fitting room soon enough. If you do not care about being styled or pampered while in the store, then this is still a great place to find beautiful clothes. Max's wife, Lubov, runs and designs this particular line and keeps in mind what fits a woman's body so each piece in the store is versatile to fit many styles, shapes, and sizes. Unfortunately, it does not cater to women past size 14 (or past size L) even though many of the women who love BCBG's clothes are in the size range. For those of you who are smaller, the smallest size is a 0 or XXS. Shoes run from 5.5 (rare to find) up to 10.5 or 11 (usually a 10 in most styles).

I've sent friends over to Affection for all sorts of ocassions (weddings, school dance, mardi gras parties) and they always leave with a smile on their face. Paula is super sweet and is always willing to help you pick out a head to toe look for that special occasion. If you like trendy, stylish clothes that fit you like a glove for a reasonable price, Affection is the way to go. The best part for me is that I don't have to worry about 10 other girls having the same dress as me- Paula doesn't buy more than 3 dresses of each style. It's a good Plaza on some levels, but in other ways not so much. It has a few issues but I do like to come here when I'm over on this side of town. I mainly come here for the supermarket, named Food Town. This FD offers a lot of discount on your usual store prices, everything is cheap, though the selection and service are often poor, but you'll get plenty here, and in this regard it's a great option when you're over in Channelview.
