This branch definitely made an awesome impression. Inside is warm and welcoming. All the staff smile at you genuinely and immediately ask what your needs are for the visit. Then your directed to the proper area to speak to the bank employee for your purpose. It was like a Citibank family, they knew the locals on first name basis and also the locals families as well. I think that what banking should be. Like a member of the family and not just another customer. I had a deposit to make and Cynthia was my teller at the window. Cynthia was the best bank teller I've ever encountered. She was extremely knowledgable and friendly while still being professional. She helped me with my inquiries of some transactions I had on my checking account and also provided some suggestions with other Citibank credit options. I love learning new things and Cynthia brought new avenues of my Citibank banking to light. read more

City corporation is a quagmire. The series is abysmal me and my partner have a credit card together. First one of the credit cards did not work then we called. They said it's working did not work then we called again. They said it's working did not work then we had to ask for sending a new card then now we can even activate the new card according to their own direction on the app then we're calling and be getting this AI bullshit and then now after 20 minutes back-and-forth we are waiting and the waiting time is 30 minutes to talk to a human being is the shame on your corporation and your CEO stealing all the money and making people pay more interest rates is a quagmire. You can shove your credit card up your ass. Theory of this corporation is so bad. Their CEO is running with the money on the back of all the customers and the interest rates he shoving their ass and then when it comes to the service, nothing there is no service at city and it is an abomination and nobody should do business with Citibank. It is a Thievery Corporation stop doing business with this corporation. They are thieves 30 minutes ago. We had to wait for 30 minutes and now we're still waiting for 30 minutes. I have my frustrations with Citibank at large and the management of this bank, but the one reason I keep coming back to this branch (and the only reason I'm giving 5 stars) is Mr. Sunshine. He is a true gift to this bank. He knows his stuff. He tells me when the bank has limitations, and still he has bends over backwards time and again to give me excellent service. I always like to feel that I have someone on my side in the unpleasant bureaucracy of banking, and Sunshine makes me feel this way. On more than one occasion HE has been the only reason I have not take my business elsewhere. I sure hope this bank is aware and appreciates all that Mr. Sunshine does for them. read more

Disappointed with the service here. I have a Citi credit card and just needed to exchange $10 for quarters to do laundry, but they wouldn't help since I don't have a checking account. Even when another customer offered, they said it required extra verification and would take some time. Even asked the manager, but he wouldn't make an exception. It's frustrating that they couldn't assist with something as simple as exchanging cash for a roll of quarters. Now I understand the low reviews on this branch -- go somewhere else read more

I give it 3 stars and there are a few reasons. First, let me say I generally find the customer service at the Palm Springs branch great. They are helpful as can be and kind. That being said, they are closed on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The days they are open, the hours are 10am to 5pm. Really? There is also only one beach office in all of Palm Springs. The national HQ really needs to revisit the days, hours, and branch amounts in Palm Springs...and vastly increase them. read more

I honestly think this branch tries its best. But, I am moving my banking relationship elsewhere. It just seems like whenever I need something simple like a notary - oh, they don't do that anymore. I need to transfer funds though Zelle - it doesn't work for Citi yet it works for my BOA accounts. I get charged for my deceased sisters phone bill for months - no support. Worst phone service ever. Going into the branch to open accounts was just fine, staff was nice enough. Jonathan Sunshine was cool, got me signed up pretty quick, was pleasant and very knowledgeable, no problems here The trouble starts when you have to call in to CitiBank via the numbers provided on the back of the card. Customer Support reps generally are not well-trained, when they enter the information you provide you wait for at least 30 seconds to confirm what you said(the computers/internet at the call centers must be bad; this is not a reflection of the support rep, more of the decision for Citi to use a cheap call center). Got logged out of my online banking, was on the phone for 50 minutes, ultimately to be rerouted somewhere I had already been, only to be asked for my name and info again. Infuriating. Save yourself the trouble, bank somewhere else. Chase/BofA/US Bank at least have working phone systems/call centers. So much time wasted opening an account here. read more

WOW.... I called to speak to someone regarding eliminating the PMI. The looping, the re-outing, the prompts, the recordings... and to better assist you, bla bla bla...... 38 min listening to prompts...and takes you right back to the beginning.... OMG. Finally I get some one. 1/2 way through the call.... I get disconnected and went right to " thank you for offering feedback portion.... I tried to answer a couple of questions.... and then the prompt said..." GOODBYE "...... and hung up. The rep has my phone # BUT..no one calls back. I was left on So frustrating..!! One of the most screwed up banks ever, we as a citibank credit card customer go into the branch to open a checking account, they failed to order the ATM cards on multiple occasions as agreed. The 1st set was ordered to arrive when we where leaving on vacation EVEN AFTER WE TOLD THEM THE VACATION DATES, we delayed leaving so we could get the cards. They told us they would order a 2nd set of cards (they never did), so we thought the 2nd set was arriving but it was just the pin numbers. So I call the bank again, only to find out they never ordered the 2nd set of cards but deactivated the 1st set. THIS BRANCH IS POORLY MANAGED AND THE EMPLOYEES DON'T LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMERS AND THEY DON'T DO AS THEY AGREEDED. DON'T USE THIS !#%#$# BRANCH, GOTO ANOTHER CITY, AVOID THE PALM SPRINGS BRANCH. One last thing, citibank uses the Philippines for customer service, it is horrible, poor communications, I guy mumbled & talked away from the phone, couldn't understand a string of numbers repeated twice. I've called on 2 or 3 occasions and the same problem, they have problems understanding english (yes they can say hello and their english sounds fine), the last 2 times, they said they would look into the issue and then hung up after 5 minutes. Latest news, another set of cards have been set out, we will will have to be home for the arrival of both sets, then we will will have to wait again for a new set of pin numbers. Jonathan Sunshine helped us on the first walk in and seconds follow up appointment . If you yawn at the mere idea of a visit to your bank branch, think again! If you resent yet another appointment with your banker, there too you may want to reconsider. That is of course if your banker is Mr Jonathan D. Sunshine at the PalmSprings CITIBANK branch! My husband and I applied for a HELOC loan a few weeks back. Words are hard to describe the quality of service we received. Forget the effectiveness and diligence we witnessed as well as the pertinent advice we were given before and during the process. All of those were great. But it was Jonathan's unbelievable sense of follow-up and follow-through that almost left us speechless. Citibank must have wrote the positive reviews themselves. This unprofessional business truly sucks. "they all hear the bells but nobody knows where the church is" sums it up best. Every employee has a different answer to the same question. FORGET even asking them to make a notation on your account prepare to be on the phone for HOURS if you need customer service. Constantly watch for their mistakes because they make many and brush up on what ever language they are calling it that day but it certainly is NOT English. I CANNOT and WILL NOT ever recommend Citibank to any person. I have been thoroughly disappointed by this bank and the last person I spoke to on the phone. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had!!! I closed my bank account with Bank of America to switch over to them. I was told that they are reliable, have great customer service and professional, so figured I would give them a try. They have made my life a living hell. I opened an account with them and wanted to sign up for direct deposit. I was supposed to get paid on the 5th and my money was supposed to be in my account on that same day. 3 days later my check from my employer is not in my account. Come to find out that one of the tellers from Citibank typed up direct deposit form incorrectly causing my rent to be late and charging me several late fees. I then go to the bank to get this issue resolved a couple days later and the same teller that typed up my direct deposit form helps me. She becomes very rude to me and treats me like it was my fault this happened when she's the one who typed up the direct deposit form incorrectly making me wait this long for my check and who has also caused me to be late on my rent. I do not recommend anyone going to this bank. They don't care about you and the treat you like shit. This was the absolute worst customer service I have ever had in my life. I wish I never closed my Bank of America account. read more

I have to say, I agree with Scott H. with regard to his opinion about employee knowledge on policies and procedures. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. This bank closed an account (I have several) without reason, but left the overdraft attached to that account in tact. You probably can anticipate what happened after that...a lot of headache and time to clear things up. But, get this, it happened two times more, with the same account.
