Recently, I came here because I needed a document notarized. I called ahead just in case the notary only goes into the office on certain days and certain times. Thankfully, Adam is always there and I didn't need to make an appointment. I went to Chase later on the same day and got my document notarized. He was a pleasure to speak to and the process was very smooth.

Washing Trust has been a great local bank so this might be…read morehard to believe, I still can't believe a stop check to a contractor for house repairs did not work; even though the bank helpers on the phone promised me it was all set. With a "Docusign" to make sure the check could not be cashed in the future. The charge:30 $ A week later a letter came from the bank saying the check bounced and there was a fee for 25 $ Upon calling about this, the banker said this needs a call back. When they called back they said there had been a typo or error in the check number that was entered in ? All the info was there the contractor name, the exact amount 695 $ Can't believe a bank typo error on the check #(1 digit off) would make a garrentee from all the nice people on the phone disappear. So this was my fault I was told ?? WOW The account bounced two more small checks ... and there were two more 25$ fees and the account came down a lot from the banks failure to honor what its agents said and expected thenselfs; even the guy who did the whole thing wen to bat for the situation and what happened, he knew it was a BANK ERROR The branch Manager that handes my accounts there, basically hung up on me too, when I called to check on the status of their upper management decision. Shocking a bank that says it is for its customers and is a protector of people's resources trusted unto to them, Don't believe it, they'll take your account down with a lack of ability in doing a simple stop payment ? The upper people were rude; blamed me(even though I had everything all set I was told twice) and hung up on by a rep, and laughed at me in the SC branch bank as I walked away.

Reached out for a little compassion, it got forwarded upwards with no response for over 24 hours. No resolution, no care. My checks disappear as soon as they hit, keeping me in this spot by design. If you're looking for a bank that understands mental health, real life, or just basic decency...look elsewhere. A lot of credit unions and online banks are way less predatory and don't depend on the struggling poor for a significant part of their revenue. If you look at their social medias and you'll notice something very telling about how they feel about diversity. Almost too obvious that this is the poor vs rich.
