My issue, and it's the main reason I'm leaving the review (and the reason I moved my son to a different school) is because another kid in his class and the school gaslighting me about it. My son had mentioned a kid hitting him, which we mentioned to his teacher. When I dropped him off one morning, another mom & I watched the kid headbutt two girls, who one of which started crying. She brought it to the directors attention and her daughter ended up getting kicked out. I brought it to her attention as well, and I was told that event never happened. The child's mom works up front, so they told us both that something didn't happen that we saw happen. As well, the owner, Lisa, is extremely argumentative. She told me to get my son to class at 8:30am instead of earlier to ensure his teacher would be there, and his teacher didn't show up until after 8:30am daily. Her response was, "well I guess I should've told you 8:45". My son is so much happier in his new school, as are my husband and I.

Unfortunately, our time at this daycare raised serious concerns regarding safety, staffing, and overall professionalism. On multiple occasions, I was contacted and pressured to pick up my child early due to the facility being understaffed and unable to maintain proper staff-to-child ratios. This issue was openly acknowledged by staff and even reflected in notices posted at the front. My concerns escalated after a frightening safety incident in which my toddler nearly exited a secured playground gate due to lack of supervision. Situations like this should never happen in a childcare setting and significantly impacted my trust in the facility. In addition, communication from leadership was often unprofessional and dismissive. Rather than working collaboratively to support my child through normal toddler behaviors, we were met with repeated threats of expulsion. While concerns about behavior were raised, they were not handled consistently or constructively, and did not align with what we observe at home or in other childcare environments. We also attempted to implement a behavioral plan with the director, but it was not followed through, and within less than a day, we were again threatened with removal. This lack of consistency was frustrating and concerning. There were also other troubling experiences, including a noticeable change in my child's behavior at drop-off from previously happy to suddenly distressed and an instance where his nap items were separated from the rest of the class, raising concerns about possible isolation. Overall, due to ongoing staffing issues, safety concerns, and the handling of both communication and care, I no longer felt confident that this was a safe or supportive environment for my child. I would strongly encourage other parents to ask detailed questions about staffing, supervision, and communication practices before enrolling.
