I have to say these are some of the best al pastor I've had in a long time. The pork was nice and juicy. Good use of pineapple as well. The restaurant is laid out like most with carved benches and murals. It was loud because no ceiling tiles but were still able to understand and hear conversations. Since it was late (for us), we didn't want a "heavy" meal. These two appetizers (bread & oil, lemon herb shrimp) and the Caprese salad were just right for us to share. I think if we're there a tad earlier, we might have tried their pasta. There was one lady I noticed who was thoroughly enjoying her meal because she kept doing the "happy" dance. After mentioning my experience to coworkers, several told me they felt the service had declined since the middle of last year. The food was much better than the service. The hibachi was flavorful, generously portioned, and a great value for the price. The sushi seemed fresh, and I'd be interested in trying more of it in the future. The only issue was the brown soup. The mushrooms were dark brown and black in color and appeared old. Biting into them was unpleasant and made me question the freshness of that part of the meal. Overall, the food was good enough that I would consider returning, but I would likely order online rather than ordering to-go in person due to the poor customer service experience. It's unfortunate because the food has a lot of potential, but the service left such a negative impression that it overshadowed the rest of the visit.
