Excellent local food spot. Great company, good food, decent prices, definitely better than another chain place.

My lovely wife and I were here for dinner. Judging from the parking lot that was almost full we knew this place has good food. Thought we'd have to wait for a table but that wasn't the case. Got a table right off in the bar section. Our waitress was there taking our drink order with in minutes. We had their margaritas which were very good and packed a punch. We then ordered their Fish Basket and I had their special of the day Perch with green beans and baked potato. Our order was out within 10 minutes so we ordered an other round of margaritas and dug in to our meals. My perch were excellent and the baked potato had so much flavor I eat it skin and all. The green beans were a little chewy but the flavor was extremely good. My wife's Fish basket came with a mountain of fries and 3 good size portions of white fish that were very flavorful. Our waitress was very professional and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The bill came to just over $50. Not bad at all for what we enjoyed. We will be back for sure. read more

I used to come here for dinner and have the frog legs scampi and it used to come out on a hot plate with the garlic butter and Parmesan cheese on it. Today it was completely different. The frog legs were out on the plate with a bowl of garlic butter with some parsley in it, no Parmesan cheese whatsoever since the frog legs are not baked with the garlic butter and Parmesan cheese, they were tasteless will not have these anymore at Hoopers read more

Great friendly service. Nice size portions. We ordered the fish basket and was surprised it wasn't the usual over battered over cooked cod.

Happened on this restaurant on a trip through Goshen. It was the highlight of the trip. Frog legs were savory and cooked just right. Being from Louisiana, that's high praise. The fried chicken was moist and flavorful as well. Service was friendly and efficient. Heartily recommend. read more

All right yelpers, this place is legit. Been here two times now and my second visit was just as fabulous as the first. Wonderful staff and very welcoming. They're doing a very good job of keeping the place clean. The food is fantastic and the waitress even made some suggestions both times. My first trip I was by myself for lunch, and the waitress suggested fish and chips which I had The lunch portion and a side cup of soup. The soup was wonderful. And the fish had great flavor and cooked to perfection. My second visit just a couple days ago was with a colleague of mine, and I took him here because of my first experience. He was pleasantly surprised how great the fish was as well. Very affordable and again a very friendly staff. I would highly recommend if you're in this area. read more

So, had the bluegill special on a Friday night. Never had bluegill before. Next time I catch a large enough bluegill I'm keeping it and eating it. Had that with a baked sweet potato and coleslaw. We love Hoppers. They are about the only restaurant in town that cooks my beef the way I love it. If I ask for extra rare, I get it, every time. Thanks to the kitchen for honoring my request. My guy likes the fried fish there. Had a great steak one night. Love the steak sandwiches. The salads are a little nondescript, with just plain head lettuce, some sprinkled cheese but they do put Craisins in it. Had a pork chop another time with a baked potato and the pork chop was a little dry but had lots of flavor. Had a shrimp cocktail one evening, and the shrimp were large and tasted fresh. Lots to choose from on the menu. We enjoy going to Hoppers. The prices are very reasonable, too. they do need to upgrade their music system, though. VERY tinny and not very appealing as you are dining. read more

Just got through golfing with some good friends and needed a cold beer as soon as possible so my wife and I and our friends started searching for a place close to the golf course and found Hoppers , we were very glad we chose Hoppers, the staff was excellent and the menu had a lot of good selections to order. We ordered our cold beers and an appetizer, the Mahi Mahi bites, and they were excellent. The rest of the food we ordered was just as good, the beer was cold, the food was great and the staff was very on top of your needs. What else is there. Been here a few times. Not a regular, but it is nice to go somewhere other than fast food. They have a very large menu and each time, service is great and food is wonderful as well. Is kind of a 'fun' place to go. Cheerful and fun ambiance. Will go again.. love the fish!! read more

Great wings! The wings are on the Appetizer section of menu, but they were shared & were ample. Very meaty & tasty. Menu was varied.

Looking for Martini and bartender Rita had the shaker but no experience. She was very accommodating as we told her how we like it. Just a wee bit of vermouth and shaken very well. "Bruised". She did it perfect. Sometimes bartenders get an attitude when you tell them how. The food is great. Mahi and Mahi bites, cubans, deep fried dill pickles, chicken rival soup. Worth your time. I rated this restaurant 5 stars about a year ago. We have a home in Florida for the winter and was looking forward to start eating here again. We were extremely disappointed!! They still advertise a Thursday fish special (but it's not a special at all, it's just a feature). Within the past nine months this restaurant has really gone down hill, in our opinion. The Thursday Fish "Special" has increased $5 per platter in just a few months. Everything has increased steeply in price, was above the increase that other restaurants are charging. The food was ok, but nothing special. The only thing positive about this place now are the waitresses. We will not be back, there are so many better places to eat in the area with better ambience and food compared to their over inflated prices. read more

My coworkers and I stopped here for lunch on our way out of town & it was so good! We all ordered different things and everyone loved their food. I got the Cuban - it was delicious & unique because it had a grilled tenderloin in it! I highly suggest treating yourself to their turtle cheesecake. We enjoyed our first meal out in almost six months! The food was excellent, well priced! The chef is amazing 25 years as a chef and it really shows in the dishes he serves. We were attending the Montana Owner's Rally (5th wheels) at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds and this restaurant was on the suggested list. We had 8 people in our group. The server was attentive and excellent (sorry I can't remember her name), the food was hot,, The ribs were also excellent. Prices were a good value. It's been a while since I've dined here, but after running across some glowing reviews I feel compelled to speak up. Zero atmosphere. Cheap Formica tables, bad chairs, bad lighting, a bar that looks like a bad diy project, bad dirty carpet. What part of the meal wasn't frozen? The fish obviously was, Sysco frozen fries out of a bag, possibly the smallest baked potato I have ever seen (served with those annoying pre packed butter pats that were so cold they were rock hard and unmeltable). Frozen, out of a bag vegetables as a side. Absolutely awful.....nothing redeeming about this place. read more

People overlook this place, but they shouldn't. A wide variety of delicious foods prepared just right, caring staff who know what they're doing, a cozy atmosphere that is family-friendly, yet also has a 3 way liquor license so you can get mixed drinks, beer, and wine if you are so inclined. Affordable prices always leave me feeling that I got more than what I paid for. It's good for taking the family out or for date night, or for eating their lunch specials that are a lot better than fast food but don't cost any more than fast food. I don't know why this place isn't packed 24/7 with a long wait to get a table, but don't tell anyone. It'll be our little secret. read more

This place is exactly what you'd expect from a diner/grill place. My mom and I came in on a Wednesday during lunch hour and seated ourselves. We were promptly helped by our waitress, who was nice but a bit hurried. We ordered a grilled tenderloin sandwich and a club sandwich with French fries to split. My mom said her grilled tenderloin was good and juicy. My club sandwich was exactly was you'd want- turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. My favorite part of the meal was the French fries, which were very good and fresh of the fryer! Yummy! The food was good and the service was decent as well. The only thing that kept running through my head was, "Why is it so dark in here?". I didn't mind- it was just different. read more
