Dr James White Killed my dog. I took him for two years there, at first he was fine, and about a month ago I took him in because he wasn't eating. He was very weak, and all he does is talk and talk and talk instead of paying attention to the animal and the owner telling the doctor what is going on, all he does is try to give you these little stories and emails you PDF's. And send you links, instead of actually making sure your dog is okay. I have proof. And I even ran in to a customer THAT said they are just wanting to make money and two of their animals DIED because of DR JAMES WHITE!!. He Only prescribes him medicine instead of checking his heart, checking his functions, making sure he's OK. He didn't do any of that, the day I brought him in and he passed 5 days later and when I called and told them what was going on, he couldn't even see him. And Dr. Holcomb, same thing. You guys just want money and you killed my dog. Shame on you. This is not the end, trust me. I think you guys screwed with the wrong person, and I do not appreciate it because Dr. James White killed my dog. He didn't check his heart rate. He didn't check his stomach. He didn't check nothing. And I have proof because I have photos of the day I took him there on June 13 and he didn't do nothing. He just kept slapping his gums like he always does talking and talking and talking. Our primary vet was closed the day after Christmas and our poor dog had a terrible case of diarrhea. We had never been to Citrus Vet before but they were close by and had good reviews. They managed to squeeze us in within a few hours and got us meds to stop the diarrhea. If we didn't already have a vet we loved, we'd definitely be here. We have been going here for a few years now and always had Dr. Holcomb. Ever since we met her, she has always been patient, kind, empathetic and very friendly! She listens and addresses each and every concern, and then recaps everything before she leaves. My dog is usually scared of other vets but not Dr. Holcomb. I can't recommend this hospital enough! Even though we've moved 30 minutes away we still come here because of the great bond we have developed. Also, their new location/building is beautifully built. From the front desk being so spacious, the waiting room is clean with more seats than before. The patient rooms are also clean and have comfy benches. There isn't a single complaint I have of the staff, doctors, or cleanliness of the building! They even have a patch of grass to pee right before you enter! I'll never stop coming here! read more

We came here to get one of my dog's Dental cleaning done. We have always been extremely happy with Dr White. All their staff are always attentive and friendly. We've gotten our dogs teeth cleaned 4 times already. All previous times , Dr White would call us directly and explain to us all the procedures done, and explain which tooth were extracted, etc. There was also Before and After photos of our dog's teeth. However, this time I had to text and request reports be sent to me. We didn't get a phone call from Dr White either. We got a call from the front desk staff asking if our dog was doing okay. I asked a few questions but she didn't have any answers to my questions. Citrus Veterinary Clinic has grown a lot. We are long time clients of this clinic... almost for 10 years. Love this place! They have taken care of our Sphynx cat Wally so well in the past 3 months. He has snuck out of the house twice and injured himself. This review is long overdue. And I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Anderson and the staff here. First off I want to say I've lived in the area for nearly 10 years and have tried a dozen different vets for my dogs and cats. Most recently I was with another vet in La Verne and I had been loyal for almost 5 years there. However, I had this gut feeling that I was being gaslit into overspending and overall I felt treated less than at this other previous vet clinic. I would see other patients get addressed as Mr. Or Mrs so and so, and I never once was addressed like that or even by my first name ever in all the 5 years I went there. On this last pet emergency in November I was almost squeezed out of 2k just on DIAGNOSIS to find out if my girl had a gastrointestinal or urinary infection. I decided to go elsewhere at this point bc I just couldn't afford to follow their aggressive "treatment plan". I was literally told by this other vet that if I couldn't afford it, I should think about putting my girl down. So I went to work and called so many other places and decided to go to Dr. Anderson based on availability and recommendations. My 7 year old spaniel mix girl had a pyometra infection and to be honest she was a day or two away from death. rather than send me to an emergency vet hospital, which would have cost me thousands more, Dr. Anderson made the call to squeeze my girl in for surgery same day, and I don't even think she charged me as an emergency visit. Not only that but I felt truly seen and cared for as a pet parent in complete crisis. I was barely holding myself together seeing my Storm girl in so much pain. Dr. Anderson had the biggest heart and the most grace I have ever seen from ANY kind of medical professional, much much more than I've ever seen from a veterinarian. She was calm, warm, reassuring , yet moved with urgency to save my girl. I feel so indebted to her months after. I finally have the strength to write this and recount this scary episode and my heart is still full with so much gratitude. I truly believe Dr Anderson was god sent and no one could have cared for my girl better. I'm forever loyal and look forward to being a life long patient here. Dr. Anderson , you are an example of good in this world and a true healer and animal advocate. I will never forget how you blessed us that day and continued to check in on Storm until she was fully healed. Milo got his snip snip from here. We know it's more expensive to come to the Vet to get your doggo fixed but Milo was well taken care of. We also have returned several times because of Milo's poop issues and found them very helpful. We love Doctor Mock and we would come here again because of how much she knows and is willing to listen. I came in a couple weeks ago because my cat Lucky suffered a spinal cord injury from a freak accident. We were in the middle of moving (boxes everywhere) and my dog and him got into a scuffle that lead to him messing up his tail. I was beyond stressed since we were in the middle of finishing packing up our house and I was so worried about Lucky. It had been a year since I had put him in his carrier and he had really put on some weight since then, so it was such a challenge to get him in his carrier on top of all of this as well. After we got him seen, and I dropped him off. I went and purchased a new larger carrier for him and I donated the old one to the clinic because I've definitely been in a position before where I've had to show up at an emergency clinic with my cat in a laundry basket, unprepared (I'm sure we've all been there). This was our first time coming here and honestly I felt so at ease the second I walked in the door. We made an appointment on the phone and once we checked in, we didn't wait long to be seen. This office is brand new and it is very welcoming, clean, and roomy inside. All of the staff were super nice and helpful. We saw Dr. Anderson and she was honestly SO amazing to work with. Lucky ended up having some blood work, multiple x-rays, and he ended up needing some medication's to take home. I was expecting to walk out spending like $1500 on his care due to the x-rays alone and I paid less than $1000. I know that vet bills are never cheap, but honestly for the care that we got, I was surprised at the price we walked out paying. They took such good care of lucky and I'm so grateful that it didn't break the bank. Once we took him home the office even texted me multiple different times to check in on him and get updates. It was so convenient and nice. Overall I'm so grateful for Doctor Andersen and her staff taking SUCH good care of Lucky. They truly do care about their furry patients so much. My 10 year old Great Dane was throwing up blood and my regular vet refused to get us in. So I called citrus veterinary clinic because it's right next to my house and they got me in right away. The vet and all of the staff were very kind and compassionate. They were honest and transparent knowing that from the first sight, our dog wouldn't make it and not suggesting unnecessary procedures, instead advising against putting her through anything that would cause her more stress. They helped us carry her into the room, laid down a blanket, and gave us time with her and gave her the peaceful ending that she deserved. Was hoping for a different outcome, but unfortunately, our experience here was very disappointing. We were referred to this hospital by a friend and took our two King Charles Cavaliers in for dental work. We were quoted a price range, which we understood and agreed to. However, when we were called to pick up our dogs, the total was over $1,500 above the maximum price we were quoted -- and we never received a call to inform us of these extra charges beforehand. Once we arrived, I had to negotiate the final amount (still to their benefit), and they assured me they would follow up later that day and the next to check on our dogs. We never received a single follow-up call. After spending close to $5,000, I expected at least basic communication and care from a place that claims to value pets and their owners. Sadly, that was not the case. We won't be returning and will not be recommending this clinic to others. We love our dogs and are always willing to pay for their care, but this experience made it clear that customer service and transparency are not priorities here -- only profit. read more

First time for me having to make the decision of euthanasia for a pet, my girl Diva. What a horrible experience this vet has left me with. I'm traumatized over my poor girl suffering because they didn't put the IV catheter correctly and administered all the medication to her for euthanasia not once explaining what was what and me having to ask the doctor. After the sedation medication she did not become sedated but instead started chocking gasping horribly the doctor says she needs more. She is only 14lbs!! Goes to get more while my poor girl is choking gasping!!! Gives her more proceeds with the euthanasia medication my poor girl is still choking and gasping she walks out of the room comes back and my girl is the same. Checks her IV and says " it's not in right" takes her from me her head back eyes rolling brings her back with another IV she's out of it by this time not gone yet gives her more euthanasia injection checks her heart and says "she's gone I'm so sorry " walks right back out. My baby suffered!!! Gasping for air horribly due to their negligence!!!. A doctor comes in around 20 minutes later and states she's the owner trying to console me while I'm traumatized and devastated trying to keep it together how sorry she is and to rest assured she didn't feel anything as she was choking and gasping because she was sedated. No she was not!!! The sedation did not work!!! She tells me it was agonal breathing and sometimes that can happen. Never once was I told that. What my poor baby went through was definitely not agonal breathing!!! I have researched it. This experience at this vet has been horrific. And all I get is "We are so sorry would you like a lock of hair and I we can give you ink paw prints?" I am so angry and hurting that I put my poor girl through this. I pray no one has to endure the horrific traumatizing experience I endured with my beloved Diva. Rest in peace my baby girl. read more

Our regular vet hospital books out 2-3 weeks so they recommended us to come here. It's much more practical for urgent situations/illness, their hours and same day appointments are great. Texting for appointments and medical questions and concern have made things so much easier. With our new shelter pup they were super safe and wouldn't even let us bring him in without testing for parvo in the parking lot before hand. Since my usual vet didn't have any emergency appointments available, they recommended me to come here. Dr. Mock was a great vet that any pet and owner would be happy to see. She was knowledgeable and showed great care for my Siberian cat. She offered different options for treatment for my cat's eye and was mindful of the costs. This is a long overdue review. We have been patients of both Dr. Angela and James White for years. They have always been with us and accommodating whether it's been nail clipping for our neurotic girls or serious surgery for our big boi. Yes, they are busy and usually there is a wait time but it's because they don't just look at your pet and then leave the room. They stay, they take their time to explain, and make each visit personalized to you. To be honest, it's "up to us" to keep the conversations short; so they can move into the next patient. If you want a friendly, old-fashioned type of "neighborhood" veterinarians with knowledge, then they're the right people. Front desk and vet assistants are also always smiling and welcoming. We drive from W. Covina for years; so it should tell something. I am so happy, we were there today to celebrate the opening of their new place! It looks absolutely amazing. Well deserved.
